“Perfect Retreat”
Reviewed 16 April 2014

We've recently returned from a 7 night stay at Kasbah Tamadot and we loved it! It was exactly what we wanted - an away from it all, relaxing place to escape from the madness for a week! We stayed in one of the berber tents which was virtually the last one at the end of the path - with views up to the snow covered Atlas mountains on one side of the terrace and the valley with the sound of running water where the snow was starting to melt and come down from the mountains on the other. The staff were so lovely and nothing was too much trouble, most of them coming from the village across the valley - they have been given an opportunity of a better life by the Branson family and they are very proud of that. The spa was great - we treated ourselves to a hammam and massage and I had an amazing facial by Kirsty - one of the best i've ever had as well as a hot stone massage by one of the other ladies - all fab! We used to have pre dinner drinks in front of the fire in the library and the cocktails were amazing and the room was a cosy place to sit both before or after dinner. The food was very good - we enjoyed a great 7 course tasting menu on our first night and experienced a typical Moroccan and African buffet with a wide variety of foods, as well as good a la carte options. There were a couple of things that could have been better if you want to be picky, but the charm of this very special place overcomes those. It's a place we will look forward to returning - only a 3.5 hr flight and an hour transfer away - a perfect retreat !

Room Tip: The berber was a great space with an outdoor decked terrace with table and chairs and sun beds and s...

Stopped for lunch on the way back to Marrakech after a trek in the mountains. Absolutely stunning location in the middle of nowhere. Beautiful gardens and pool etc. We had a delicious lunch in the poolside restaurant with superb service. Would loved to have stayed longer. Approx £100 for four people.

Stunning location and an amazing hotel! The journey to the hotel is arduous but the scenery is simply breathtaking! Perfect place to unwind and forget about the troubles of the world! A must visit even if you cannot afford to stay here, we stopped by on our way to Marrakech! The food by the pool is top notch!

Very long journey through the Atlas mountains to get here but the scenary on the way is beautiful. Hotel is amazing really, very posh. Private swimming pools, personal butlers and even private accomodation if you so choose. Food is traditional yet sophisticated and service is on spot from the hotel lobby to midnight excursions on the grounds. Didnt stay longer than 2 nights as its miles away from shops or sighseeing but for a chill out, its perfect

This is easily one of the most memorable places I have ever stayed. Breathtaking views of the mountains and the surrounding villages, beautiful gardens, gorgeous Moroccan architecture and artefacts, attentive staff and a serene atmosphere. Our beautiful Berber tent came with decking, a jacuzzi and a glorious view of the valley and the stars. Sinfully comfortable, we were lulled to sleep by the sounds of the frogs and cicadas from the nearby pond. I could hardly bare to leave the walls of the kasbah but a trek atop resident mules Paprika and Parmesan with knowledgeable guide Mohammed provided a lovely insight into ordinary life in the Atlas. A truly wonderful, relaxing, magical experience.

We stayed here for four nights on our trip to Morocco, following our stay in Marrakech and what a different experience it was. We were driven from the hubbub of the city to Asni with the Atlas Mountains in the near distance. During the night there had been snowfall on the mountains and they looked beautiful. The driver was brilliant, telling us so much about the Moroccan people, their culture and aspirations. When we arrived we were made to feel very welcome and offered tea and cake on the terrace. Following this one of the Berber staff came and showed us around the hotel and grounds, after which she showed us to our room which was spacious and furnished in a traditional manner. We spent our days relaxing, swimming in the indoor pool early in the morning when no- one else was around and reading, either lounging around the outdoor pool or in one of the other communal areas. The spa experience was fantastic, food was plentiful and good and the staff couldn't do enough for us. We loved it and want to go again!

This place was to die for! We didn't want to leave! The staff and Service was outstanding! Nothing was too much for them.

We stayed in a pool villa. It was very comfortable and the lack of a television in the room was very welcome. This is a place one comes to, to relax and unwind, to forget their day-to-day worries and just be.

Its everything you would want and dream of when it comes to luxury in the mountains!

We arranged a private trek up into the Atlas Mountains, which was an amazing experience in itself. Our Guide was very helpful and happy! He answered all our questions and made us feel at ease and comfortable.

There is a beautiful family run B&B that serves up some of the most delicious traditionally prepared Moroccan dishes (the husband and sons serve/act as guides/clean and the wife/mother cooks).
we go to sample some of these as at the end of the Trek, something that is much welcomed after a long day of hiking up those mountains! After our meal we walked back down and drove back to the Kasbah Tamadot where we walked straight into the Spa (every room has breathtaking views of the mountains and valley below) which helped to soothe and relax us ready for dinner and bed.

That is just one of the things the hotel can organise for you!
Every experience is a treat at this Hotel. MUST VISIT!
