We visited the Kasbah Tamadot to meet friends for lunch and a hike through a Berber Village and were so spellbound by the beauty of the hotel and location in the Atlas Mountains that we decided to stay in one of the stunning tents for the night, even though we'd already paid for a Riad in Marrakech. Well, the treat was well worth it, the tents are stunning. The hotel has a fantastic shop where we bought glass jars and moroccan bowls made by the local Berber's which we love. Our long lunch overlooking a Berber village was memorable, and our long dinner over great conversation in the restaurant inside was great as well. It was a perfect setting to catch up with very good friends. We would love to return.

Kasbah Tamadot feels a million miles away from the cities of Morroco. It is a lovely oasis and the backdrop of mountains and a Berber village on the facing hilltop makes it truly beautiful. Drinks by the pool before dinner by a pool with tops of roses and petals was gorgeous. The food was good, not great, but the backdrop made the visit. It is fabulous and I would recommend staying in the tents. The one thing that disappointed was it had Indian random art throuhout; it would have been wonderful to have traditional Berber art and would have made more sense. Getting a hamman treatment is a must. Incredible.

...this is a retreat away from it all. It is so beautiful it would be hard to do it justice with my prose. I went for lunch with my daughters (which was delicious and reasonably priced - service was perfect too). I just wanted to stay to the evening to watch the sun go down and experience the place at night so to that end I will return to enjoy this unique and magical place. I am sure it will not disappoint.

Our third time here and it feels like coming home. The staff are wonderful and cannot do enough to make your stay perfect. Can't recommend highly enough. We are already planning our visit next summer. Highly recommend the Berber tents as the best rooms.

My three friends and I recently stayed at the Kasbah Tamadot to celebrate our 40th birthdays. As this break was pretty pricey we were only able to stay for 3 nights, but during our short stay we were made to feel welcome and very special. On arrival, we were greeted by one of the hotel managers with champagne, and given time to sit and relax over-looking the relaxation pool, full of floating candles and rose petals. When we were ready we were given a short tour of the hotel and grounds, as unlike most hotels it is more like a country house, with the 27 rooms spread out and on different levels. When we reached our room, our luggage was already waiting in the room for us. Our rooms were beautiful and had all the necessary requirements and equipment, plus much, much more. We even had a beach bag, poncho (for chilly nights), binoculars to view the stars and many other extras to make our stay easy. There was also a library of books, CDs and DVDs if we wished to borrow them. The food was amazing, fantastic quality and great taste. The staff were all friendly and polite and went out of their way to help in any way they could. Amazingly, they all seemed to know which room we were in and must have kept notes on when we were out, as our room was always cleaned when we were out and small gifts and daily invitations to complimentary pre-dinner drinks appeared at the end of our beds late afternoon. We were a little worried beforehand that our final bill would be extortionate. However, we were pleasantly surprised, as filter water was unlimited and even brought to us at the poolside. The minibar was complimentary and stocked with water, soft drinks and wine. The room also had tea and coffee making facilities and fruit and nuts. The wine list was extensive, but we found the Morrocan wine to be both good value and tasty. Although this holiday was by no means 'cheap' it was worth every penny, and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone wishing for a quiet and tranquil retreat.

Room Tip: All rooms are totally individual, and decorated and equipped to a very high standard. I am sure all...

This is my third visit to this beautiful hotel and a stunning location. We were welcomed once again by Vincent who was as enthusiastic that day as the first time we met him 1 year earlier. Vincent welcomed us with a lovely cool glass of champagne whilst we waited for our room to be finished and it was just heaven, sipping champagne whilst enjoying the most fabulous view. We travelled with our friends (a party of four) and had the most amazing 3 days and lucky enough to have room 26 which is on their website, views to die for! My husband was exhausted from working long hours 24/7 and unbelievably recharged his batteries over the 3 days from the pure indulgence of doing very little other than being pampered by the staff whilst myself and best friend went on the mules to Asni and walked to beautiful grounds visiting the stables each day and idly chatting to the camels, mules and donkeys who seemed pleased to see us but probably thought we were well and truly bonkers. The food was as ever wonderful and having a fully stocked mini bar and not worrying about the outrageous cost some hotels charge was again a wonderful luxury (the mini bar is part of the room cost and contains wine, beers and soft drinks). We went full board and cried we couldn't eat anymore food but somehow managed to fit in more!!! Mohamed Senior who served us breakfast each day was a most wonderful host, we recognised him from last year as we did the majority of the staff and some of them remembered us too (not sure if that's good or bad)? Only regret is we didn't try the spa, next year hopefully!

Can't wait for next year when we will hopefully spend more days at the beautiful Kasbah Tamadot

Stayed in Kasbah Tamadot with a group of friends in early May. Great hotel, service and food; fantastic addition to Marakesh. Consierge Hayley particularly helpful in arranging activities both ahead of our stay and while we were there.
For those who want to combine relaxation in the hotel's pool and hammam, highly recommend a 2-day hike to the top of Mount Toubkal. Ours was guided by Rachid Armed, a guide born and still living in a village at the start of the hike. He even invited us to visit his home on the way up, which was an experience in itself. You can contact Rachid at rochesarmed@yahoo.fr, or through the hotel.
