This is a spot to aim for at the far south of the South Island. Definitely worth the extra effort to get down here; there is a small restaurant here as well. We had a coffee, but you can also grab a meal.
This site has a great viewing platform and signposts to famous site around the world for photo opportunities. There is a good car park.
Not as exciting and beautiful as Cape Reinga but worth the visit if travel close to Invercargil. 30mins drive from CBD

We arrived just as it got dark, so probably missed some of the views. Just a great place to go as our visit stared at the top of Highway 1, so fun to visit the end of it. Well set out with glass panels to make the most of the views.
