Had the tuna which was cooked to perfection. The Artic Char was also enjoyed as well as the pizzas.
Great service and great ambience.

Bruce is by far one of the best restaurants in the Collingwood area. The food and service is great and I can bring my kids here for pizza. The wine list is excellent as are the unique dishes. Definitely eat here!

The Bruce Wine Bar has outstanding food along with a great wine selection. On our latest visit was the best! We started with the Pate Appetizer, followed by the Daily Beast - Venison for the main and finished with their Seasonal Mess for 2 as the dessert. An outstanding dinner! The wine was also excellent, Truant, Old Vine Zinfandel.
The service was also timely and pleasant.
A very fun and enjoyable evening to be repeated soon!

Don't be put off by Bruce's location, which they actually describe as "in the alley behing the TD Bank": It is where it is.

We've been to Bruce severa times, and finally tried something besides their delicious pizza. Some might describe the menu as "quirky", which it may be. However, my wife and I both ordered their Ocean Special, which consisted of scallops in a garlic-scape puree with swiss chard and bacon risotto. Outstanding would be an understatement. Our friendly and efficient server, Heidi, recommended a couple of their $10 by-the-glass wines which went perfectly with the entree. The servings were not large, which provided an excuse for elderly folks to have dessert. Again on Heidi's recommendation, we ordered their "Seasonal Mess" (I said they could be "quirky"), and it was so good that I even asked our server to write out its ingredients so that we could remember it better --- local strawberries, meringue, vanilla bean sumi-freddo, chocolate mousse, vanilla ice cream, more chocolate, all on a whipped-cream crumble cake. Don't count the calories, just enjoy the memories.

They definitely deserve to be among the very top local restaurants, which features several excellent ones.

We went to the Bruce Wine Bar on Friday evening with our extended family (party of 7). Very casual place with a simple, yet tasty menu. There was something for everyone. I had a starter salad and veggie pizza - both were excellent. Short rib seemed to be very much enjoyed by others around the table...as were the deserts!! Great spot - would definitely recommend.
