Hope Town Inn & Marina

We had such a nice week at the Hope Town Inn & Marina in spite of horrible rainy weather. All of the staff was so pleasant and helpful. The two pools are fabulous for the kids and the food was very good. We even had an excellent turkey dinner on Thanksgiving night. Two groups in our family stayed in the villas and they were lovely, well-appointed and comfortable and well-cleaned each day.

We recently visited the restaurant at this resort for lunch. It is a beautiful location with a beautiful pool, atmosphere and surroundings. There was a large group of us there visiting by boat, which is the only way you can get to this restaurant. Four in our group ordered the "catch of the day", which was mahi mahi. One had it fried, and the rest had it "blackened" on a sandwich. It was the worst meal I had on the whole vacation. Everyone agreed (later, unfortunately) that the fish was old and very fishy. The fish sandwich I ordered (for $17!) could in no way be considered blackened. It was just a skimpy couple of pieces of fish on a large bun with tarragon sprinkled on it. The fishy taste was so strong that I had to dip it in ranch dressing to kill the taste. I'm kicking myself that I didn't send it back, especially after learning that three of the others experienced the same awful taste. Those in our party that did not order fish (chicken and hamburger) said their meal was acceptable. It's just a shame to advertise freshly caught fish on the menu ("catch of the day"? Really? Which day?) and charge $17 for a sandwich and have it be old, frozen, fishy fish in a place where fresh fish should be abundant, and especially in this upscale resort. I was expecting much more. I was very disappointed.

Stayed at the marina for approx. three weeks and had the opportunity to experience the facilities and management long term. The hospitality is truly outstanding, the facilities also. clean pool, restaurant, dock, etc. restaurant service was first rate and accommodating. I had multiple great meals, compliments of the chef. Hard to beat as a place to stay on elbow Cay.

There are also motel rooms that include one and two bedroom suites.

Water shuttle on demand into town. Beaches and other restaurants are easily accessed.

Room Tip: All rooms have nice views. hotel rooms are next to pool, one bedroom suites in main adjacent buildin...

We recently stayed in the marina & they had some of the nicest facility's we have used. Swim up pool bar, water taxi to the town & clean restroom & showers. Sam who works at the marina & is 2 nd generation lighthouse keeper was beyond accommodating & informative. Would definitely return.

The relatively new Hope Town Inn and Marina is worth the visit. We came by boat, and took one night in Room 4 (King, upstairs, great view of the Harbor and grounds). It is easy walking distance to the famous Hope Town lighthouse. Staff was great, on call water shuttle back and forth to various harbor locations, help with luggage getting it off our boat, etc. Fabric, pool bar, and restaurant all worthy of praise.

I really like this place.

Room Tip: Room 4 had a great view, and great air conditioning.

We were booked into a two bedroom, two bath villa. Everything was spotless and new. The villa had a living and dining area plus a beautiful kitchen with all the cooking, eating and drinking things you would need. Private patio off each bedroom and a BBQ if you desired to cook. Private pool near to service the villas. A short walk to the Inn pool, bar and restaurant. Just exquisite taste in decorating the area around the pool. Draperies that can be closed to protect from the wind. You certainly do not need them at this time of year. The weather was fabulous. The Inn also offers a water shuttle to take you and your party to other restaurants and locations in Hope Town. The front desk, housekeeping and table service at the restaurant and bar - superb, as is everywhere you go in Hope Town. While we were there for 2 nights, it felt like a week of holiday. Also - for sailboats, power boast and yachts - the marina can handle the largest and the smallest. Huge number of slips. Reservations a must.

Room Tip: Did not see the Inn "rooms" because they were all booked. But the privacy of the Villas wa...

This was an excellent marina to spend time in. The personnel was very helpful. We enjoyed their free shuttle across to the main town as well as the peaceful and private areas of the marina itself.
Wonderful area for snorkeling and beach walking by day, dancing and fun activities at night.
