We very much enjoyed our stay at the Donna Amalia in August of this year. The price was great, the atmosphere was great, the pool was great and the hosts were great. Had a great holiday however and really hope to come back next year again. Apartments are dated, but comfortable and clean. 5 minute walk to the main square and only about 3 minutes to the nearest supermarket. Only some minor negatives such as nowhere to hang up the shower head, shower curtain too short, hard matrasses (seems to be the case just about everywhere in Greece) and having to be quieter around the pool between 14.30 and 17.30 (which is nearly impossible with children). The latter is however not down to the hosts, but to some neighbours. Over all, a fantastic place to go for the money you pay!!!

Lovely family run apartments. Rooms are typically Greece basic, but has everything you need. The pool has the sun all day and you are just 2 mins to the nearest bars / restaurants and 5 min stroll to the harbour which is beautiful. The pool bar serves drinks and snacks and is very reasonably priced. Hopefully going back next year.

The appts are just 5 mins walk to kassiopi centre and another 10 to the main beaches. We had a 2 bed appt at the rear of the building with a garden view which was lovely. The rooms are very basic sort of old fashioned and keeping in with the buildings around it.Dont get me wrong tho they are very clean and more than adequate. They are family run and when you get there the first person you will see will be yannis, he will introduce himself and escort you to your room with no fuss like hanging about in the reception for ages because they havent got one lol.Yannis is a good guy and any probs just tell him and he will sort it.The pool area is great no need for towels on sunbeds at 7 in the morning always plenty so no need to do that .There is a nice little pool bar which do the usual drinks and snacks. All in all these appts are set in a great location and are good value for money in the lovely resort of kassiopi.
Ps. please go to yannisis barby its agreat night and worth it just to see yannis greek dancing diff class.

Room Tip: all the rooms have good views either pool or garden.

Holiday with my husband ,our 16 year old daughter, my sister and her 15 year old daughter. we booked one studio and one apartment. Basic, clean accomodation, not a lot of room to sit and relax except on the small balcony, but spent most of our evenings down in the harbour and then back at the bar with Yannis. Lovely boat trip to Corfu town ( avoid the scary coach journey !)- advise going late afternoon and returning in the evening. Plenty of room around the lovely pool,no probs getting umbrellas or sunbed. Janis taverna on the beach does amazing seaood risotto and swordfish steaks, although no matter where we ate , we didnt have any poor meals. Average 60 euros for 5 of us incuding several carafes of good house wine and soft drinks. Was a really relaxing holiday !

Room Tip: ask for apartment number 3 block one as it is the biggest !

A wonderful family run . Firstly, thankyou Nicholette,Yannis,Donna and
Maria. We've bin home a while now and we are still talking about our stay with you.
David and Diane, we had two weeks in block 1 room 7 above the main entrance. Open plan studio and shower room, enough space to spread out but small enough to keep tidy. Classicly two single beds , a dresser, table and chairs, wardrobe ,fridge,( that we turned off on a night time) and a kitchenette with cooker(we ate out every meal time) and a kettle for tea's and coffee. Small balcony but a veiw of the mountain. It was perfect for us.. Pool bar relaxing, serving wonderful homemade salads ( the best feta !) and snacks , Yannis will try to help with any and all of your questions, please don't be shy to ask and talk.
The apartments are just two minutes level walk, to the top main street of shops and bars and a pleasent meander down to the harbour.
We love Corfu, food culture and the people, kassiopi is the best village so far, its not like kavos, lively if you want it to be, also quiet and harmonious sunsets also but amazingly friendly,Loads of return visitors cant be wrong.See you again soon, in the same room.

Room Tip: contact donna amalia ,and talk to them, they have studio and apartments

Just returned from a beautiful holiday in Kassiopi. The location of these friendly, family run apartments is excellent for a lazy stroll into town.

The staff are very accommodating and certainly fixed any problems there and then if they were told about them.

The apartments are clean, with fresh linen and towels provided regularly. The beds were very comfy and the apartment suited our needs for a basic traditional Greek property.

Certainly everyone we spoke to guest wise were pleasant, and seemed to get on if you wanted a chat or to retreat and be on your own.

You can get snacks at the bar, however also on offer is delicious Mezze and their homemade feta cheese is the best we have ever had in all our many trips to Greece.

We like to get out and about and are not ones for lying around the pool area, the coves and beaches offer privacy and stunning views.

Hire a car and a boat too as there is some amazing scenery.

All in all and excellent property and place to stay. Will be back at some point.

Room Tip: Pay extra for the 2 bedroom apartment as you get so much more room.

I researched this very carefully before booking , and was impressed by return visits of other reviewers, and that swayed me to book,I normally do not write reviews however I feel some balance is required
We arrived late at night and early in the season (May) and were welcomed by a board directing us to studio 7 block 1 we settled in but found the bedding was too small for the beds and no toilet paper and just a feeling that the studio was not really prepared for new arrivals but as it was after midnight we we just needed to sleep.
We woke up the next morning and found the balcony the smallest and the beds were the most uncomfortable I have ever encountered in 45 years of travel ,however we always try and make the most of what we are given and got on with the holiday, mid morning there was a major hullaballoo between all the staff and them looking over at us at the pool area.the upshot was we went back at lunchtime to the studio to find fresh bed linen ,clean towels, and new curtains, and the studio infinitely more habitable,we did not seek or were given any explanation but we suspect we should not have been sent to that studio
.
Unlike other reviewers we were not given a choice of studios as we would not have chosen to stay in this one.
The first week the complex was 50% empty and we enjoyed our room and bedding cleaned every second day.however the second week was very different, our bedding was not changed for the last 8 days, and we were also left with only one bath towel and two hand towels, and had we not emptied the bins they would have overflowed, again we did not complain because it is not in our nature but this level of hygene is unacceptable...

Something I must also say is there is a high proportion of return visitors to this complex which was very evident in the micro communities that sprung up around he pool and there was a feeling akin to when you walk into some village pubs ie the looks that say "who be that stranger" and the inescapable feeling that you were an "incomer".which the owners cannot be held responsible for, maybe it was just like that the time we were there,

.
Kassiopi is a lovely place and as always the Greek people are friendly and welcoming and we did enjoy our stay despite the cleaning and bedding problems I just feel these apartments have been a bit overrated by some previous reviewers and would suggest to the owners that at least the cleaning regime should be reviewed and improved

Room Tip: Anybody that enjoys an evening or a breakfast on their balcony should also avoid studio 7 block 1 li...
