We hired two boats from this company.
Owner and staff were friendly and helpful.
The experience of hiring a boat, mooring up for lunch, dropping anchor and swimming in some of the clearest water we've seen has provided life long memories.
However, the smaller boat struggled, on both days in the afternoon the wind got up the sea was rough and the wake of the larger boats meant an uncomfortable and somewhat concerning experience for the younger ones in the boat and those not used to the sea. They were genuinely scared by the experience. Im not sure the short briefing would really prepare a novice if they got not difficulties.
My advice for the novice go out as early as possible to get to the blue caves then head back to a cove near kassiopi to avoid the edge of your seat trip home.

Very easy to book. Good advice from Filippos about the size of boat that would be best for us. Great restaurant recommendation from Katie, Toulas - superb food and service and view. We chartered a rib and opted for a captain, this is an excellent move, Ilias (sp?) was excellent with every one of us, personable and affable. He knew where to go and what we saw was superb, beaches, caves, fish, the works. Not wishing to sound dull, safety is key - he understands the water and what to do and not to do, speed, where and when to stop, etc. Best day!

We hired a little boat for a day while staying in Kassiopi. It was our favourite part of our holiday. Everything was explained to us clearly by a lovely English lad and it was all very easy to do. We had a great time sunbathing on the back and sailing up and down the coastline. You can go quite far along the coast so lots of places to explore. We stopped at Stefanos bay for lunch where there are restaurants who will help you dock the boat at their own jettys. The lunch we had here was the best of the whole holiday. If you don't hire a boat while in Kassiopi then you are really missing out.

We have hired boats before but this was the best experience ever, hired their largest rib with an excellent skipper Thanasis. He took great care to explain crew, passenger safety whilst we were to be on the trip. We wanted a day trip to Paxos and Antipaxos to remember and he ensured we were not disappointed. Saw all the main sites whilst cruising around the islands, swam and dived in the caves of Paxos, listened to the swallows flying and chatting in the largest cave. Swam in a lovely sheltered beach at Antipaxos too. We were given fist hand knowledge from him as he has undertaken the trip many times. On the return trip had a fabulous lunch in South East Corfu Boukari Beach fish restaurant. Nice quiet gently slopping pebble beach with shower and jetty. Before heading back in search of dolphins and turtles, we were unlucky in that regard unfortunately on this trip. Although I have watched them off shore Kalami Bay, and outside Kouloura Harbour from our villa(Rare in two weeks here). But we ended the day with more cave diving in a sheltered cove near Nisaki. Fabulous day creating family memories with an excellent knowledgeable friendly skipper. On shore staff at Flippos boat hire were extremely helpful and I believe genuinely wanted us to have the best day they could help us find. And we did, thank you.

Our adult family of 6 found Filipos Boat Hire a delight start to finish. Our request for a skipper was accommodated and with Spiros at the helm, that permitted a glorious day of stress-free swimming, investigating coves, caves, stops for frappes and lunch: joyous. The wash from speedboats was dealt with a competency that far out classed our novice status. The fuel was no issue and other than the competitive cost of hire we paid our captain separately. Plenty of room in this small boat - waterproof bags a good idea when managing those sudden washes! Enjoy.
