Arrived around 1.30 pm we was greeted by Ashley who immediately came across so very friendly. After a quick check in at reception we was showed to our room which was a split level 509. Lovely room nice and large, clean modern bathroom. We even had a sea view which was totally unexpected but really beautiful, the room had everything you needed. Ashley showed us to the restaurant as we was still in time for lunch, all staff was very helpful explained everything to us which continued throughout our
2week stay. The restaurant manager worked extremely hard he was there breakfast dinner and evening making sure everything was just right for everyone,he was always smiling as was all the hard working staff we became very friendly with them during our stay.
The food seemed to get better every day with plenty of salad selection hot food something for everyone even small children. Puddings and pastries were delicious I really enjoyed trying something different every day. Nothing was ever to much trouble for the staff.
Dawn & lizette were amazing a real credit to the hotel.
The pool area was lovely with fantastic views over the canal d'amor this is a must while you are there go early in the morning before the locals arrive and cover yourself in clay apparently cleanses the sole but I was more impressed with the softness of my skin. Have a swim in the sea and if it's calm swim through the tunnel.
Pool bar opens at 10 am serving beer, soft drinks tea/ coffee water all part of the inclusive package but milkshakes frappe and branded drinks are at a supplement; spirits served from 2 pm onwards.
During our 2nd week mid morning the hotel offered pancakes apple pie or cake served around the bar area which I thought was superb, after lunch they offered us cocktails ( with or without) a selection of snacks more than enough for everyone.
Always some activity going on from water aerobics which I really enjoyed to water polo darts and football all of which my 21 & 24 year old sons enjoyed. Ashley Holly & James are such a good laugh everyone loved them and looked forward to daily activities.
Evening entertainment was mainly in the saxophone bar situated at the bottom of the drive, where you will find the entertainment from kiddy disco to movie quiz karaoke and bingo which we won a few times.
We really enjoyed our family holiday and would most definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and family, we don't usually return to the same hotel twice but we would certainly return on this occasion due to the location, staff and indeed the most important 'value for money'anyone thinking of booking don't hesitate you will definitely have a great time just like we all did. Thanks to everyone at the Zafiris.

My boyfriend (27) and I (24) visited this hotel for a week.

The first thing I need to mention is the location. This made the holiday for us. The hotel is joined to what I describe as a clifftop and the views up there are breath taking. Every night after dinner we went up there (takes 2 mins) and looked out over the water and across at the Albanian mountains (which by the way Sam the rep told us was main land Greece). People actually travelled from all over the island to see our view so we felt lucky it was on our doorstep.

This brings me on to Sam the rep. He can only be described as useless. Everything he told us was wrong. He almost made us miss our only excursion by telling us we would be picked up directly opposite the hotel when actually it was down the road. If my boyfriend hadn't sprinted after the coach to make sure it wasn't ours (which it was) we would have missed our whole day.

The hotel staff were great. Always friendly and welcoming and worked hard everyday to keep everything running smoothly.

The entertainment team we found annoying but that's probably because they were forced upon us as the only way you could get your all inclusive drinks of an evening was to go to the saxophone bar which meant wether you liked it or not you were stuck with their entertainment. The pool side bar was so much better to us as we just wanted to chill of an evening but this meant we had to buy drinks which isn't right when you have paid all inclusive prices. However I have since read that they have now changed this due to all the bad feedback about it. This is both good, as it shows they listen to what people say. And bad because they could have realised sooner and let everyone enjoy the benefits. Not just the later holiday makers.
The rooms are nice. The beds are huge which is great. Our main issue was the air con. It worked well but seemed to leak more and more each day. Until the final day we had a huge puddle under the bed. Also, the showers are good providing you get them at certain times otherwise expect cold water.

We found the food pretty good overall, we both struggled a bit with breakfast selection but made up for it with lunch and dinner. We decided to go for a meal in their restaurant which is open to anyone but as a hotel guest you get discount. We chose to do this because of the view and setting. However, we did wish we'd have just got drinks there instead. The food selection was extremely limited and made in the same place you get your all inclusive food from. I ordered the ribs and I couldn't even get my teeth into them. They were horrible.

The pool area is great. Sunbeds and beanbags all around to sunbathe on and parasols for shade if you need it like me. The pool itself was a nice size and our mid afternoon dips in it were great. What I particularly liked was because our room was so close to everything, once I had been in the pool I was able to pop back to the room to dry and change and we also did this whenever we needed the toilet during the day which felt a lot more hygienic than having to share with everyone.

Another of our highlights was a trip to sunset beach. It was glorious and romantic. Definitely take a taxi though because if you try and walk it (as Sam suggests) you will more than likely get lost or take too long. The Taxi costs 9euros each way.

Overall, we really enjoyed our holiday and think that now they have improved the evening all inclusive option it will be a great holiday for all.

Oh, and don't forget your mosquito spray.

Fantastic holiday, just returned after a 2 week stay (July 28th - 11th August) had one double room and one split family room, both excellent as we put our 3 teenage children in the split level room and we enjoyed a ground floor double room that was in a perfect location. All the staff deserve a mention as they work very hard and nothing is too much for them. The pool is fantastic and so are the views. Water polo each day was a big hit for us. The food is also great with a good choice. I do recommend treating yourself one night to a local taverna to enjoy some plate smashing! The Mosquitos are very present but it is Greece so just go prepared! The saxophone bar is great and the staff work very hard. however we did venture out for a drink or two while bingo and some of the entertainment was on, however that was our choice as some things were just not our cup of tea but plenty enjoyed it. We would have loved to sit up by the pool bar more in the evening if it had been part of the All inclusive however since we returned it has become part of the All inclusive package. This is great news for the new guests, the view is stunning. We will definitely return in a year or two.
We highly recommend this hotel it is fantastic.

After returning from a 2 week holiday at the zafiris hotel i can truely say it has been a holiday i will not forget.
We were met on arrival by the fantastic staff who had left food aside for our arrival as we landed late.
The highlights: the food was superb, with plenty of options for kids adults and vegetarians, i would highly recommend the bbq night on a Thursday! with plenty of choice and a clean friendly atmosphere myself and my two children was able to dine happily every day with no problems. the staff in the hotel cannot do enough for you! the girls on reception dawn and lisette would listen to you all day! they are really friendly and will offer any advice if you need it. The thomson rep Sam was superb! he answers many questions daily, when i asked him about bus times, he went and got them for me straight away, plus he booked us on mega day which is a great day out for the kids! the entertainment team holly ashley and james are a credit to the hotel, not only do they work extremely hard to try and make everybody happy with many different activities, water polo, aqua gym, bingo and evening entertainment, they also try and include everybody so that all of the activities day and night allows all guests to join in. with constant smiles on there faces they have made the holiday that little bit more special! the restaurant staff are fantastic they work really hard to try and accommodate you, keeping everywhere hygienic and clean whilst saying hello and always smiling.
The all inclusive was well worth the money, with a large selection, there is a cut off time of 11pm at the saxaphone bar but it is like that in many hotels locally and I was happy to then pay a very very small price for a drink. i would highly recommend treating yourself to the al a cart restaurant as it has absolutely fantastic views of canal d amour and the tunnel of love and also at a cheap price. the room we had was a split level room which was perfect as my teenage son had the privacy he wanted. the rooms are very clean and modern and extremely spacious. the biggest highlight is the pool, big, clean and most importntly, cool! very handy on a warm day and plenty of activities in the pool for the kids and adullts to join in with. the one small probem would be mosquitos so i would say take some repellent and after bite cream or spray, but this did not take away a second of the enjoyment that we have had here at the hotel! we hardly left the complex as there was always something to do and we had everything that we needed (including the free safety deposit box and air con which i though was an extra value to the holiday itself) overall my family have had an amazing holiday and we will be returning, i would highly recommend the zafiris to anybody and i will be doing so! already planning to book for next year. thank you to all of the staff for making the holiday so special!

Don't believe all you read on trip advisor, I always give very honest reviews and if i don't like it i say!!

We had lovely memories of Zafiris from 11 years ago before Al and had promised our children we would return. We're SO pleased we did! The Zafiris staff run the hotel like clockwork; many returning year after year. We would especially like to mention Dawn the manager, Dimitri kahlua pool bar, Angela & Costas (& now little A) - it was lovely to see you all again. The Corfu sun is obviously anti-aging!! Martin the restaurant manager keeps the food well topped up and the food will feed even the fussiest (and we know!). Nikos in the Saxophone bar was very friendly (the watermelon mojito was gorgeous). Super Mario works so hard, tidying the grounds from dawn til dusk.
Any problems are solved so quickly. Our air con leaked, reported, fixed, no more problems. The same with another guests toilet.
The entertainment team of Ashley, James and Holly MADE OUR HOLIDAY!! Holly starts the day with aqua gym then keeps the young ones entertained with water games, arts & crafts etc (I also heard the girls in the kids club were loved by the younger children). Ashley and James - what can we say? "You want some?"! They are so much fun and work very hard at trying to please everyone - which is not always easy! Adults/kids darts, beach football (within Zafiris grounds), kids then adults water polo (a little tip - if you're going to moan about the ball, please don't get beds near the pool bar. Only the very grumpy had a problem with it.). Our teen boys made a massive group of friends we're sure they'll stay in touch with, and Ashley & James we're a huge part of all of their fun. The older teens had a night out on the strip. Ashley & James on their night off with friends and family bumped into them all and kept a careful eye on them all. Above and beyond their duty in their free time. Thanks guys. xx Be sure to catch James & his guitar in the Saxophone bar - he's really good.
The scenery around Zafiris is amazing! Sunsets, the beautiful Canal d'amour cove just down the steps by the pool, the view of the Albanian mountains. The locoation in the quieter area away from the strip is just right.
We're pleased to hear the Kahlua bar now stays AI until 11pm. First Choice now need to put their hands in their deep pockets and give Zafiris the money they deserve to offer an even better service.
This place is an absolute gem that could survive easily without First Choice. Guests return year after year and by word of mouth could fill the hotel every season. The economic climate in Greece will hopefully improve and Zafiris could be independent again, so First Choice give them more money before you lose them!
Thanks to all of the staff (sorry we didn't name them all as they all work equally hard) and the lovely guests we met, especially A,M,W,I (names protected!) our poolside beer buddies! xx

Just back from a fabulous holiday at this fantastic hotel - had a lovely 2 weeks here, great views and the pool area is awesome and kept very clean, loved to sit by the pool or wander to the beaches nearby. Sun loungers are available for free by the pool, and plenty of them. You could either join in the fun and games poolside, or sit further back where you could have a lovely quiet day, reading and dozing on the sun loungers....bliss.....and the best of both worlds!

We arrived late, about 10:30pm after a delayed flight, and the staff still made us very welcome and helped is with our cases to the rooms. They also gave us some very welcome snacks and drinks.....which was just what we needed - what a perfect start to the holiday :-)

Room was spacious and very clean, and we were given a great welcome pack telling us about the area which was really useful. You can get a 'safe' key for all your valuables - the safes are in the reception area, so always someone on hand to keep an eye out :-)

The food is really good and plenty of choices (especially as I am a very fussy eater!!), and the drinks and cocktails were fab....The staff work soooo hard to make sure everyone has a great holiday - and that's all staff, from the entertainment, the people who serve in the restaurants and bars, even the cleaners and the gardeners, nothing it too much trouble, they always took time to stop and say hello, and they shared so much information that ensured our holiday got off to a great start.

I've seen some reviews moaning about the mosquito's and geckos in the room...hello??? this is Greece, they were there long before we Brits started visiting!!! Why do people continue to complain about these things when everyone knows they are part and parcel of any med holiday!!!! I guess some people have to have something to complain about!! You can usually spot the ones who complain on here - the ones everyone got fed up with, and who treated the staff so badly, and were just plain rude!! Unfortunately, you cant always chose who else is staying in your hotel!!

The only other thing I would add is book any tours locally, as they are usually cheaper ;-) lots to see and do in the very beautiful island of Corfu. I made so many great friends among the staff and guests, and cant wait to go back again.... 100000% recommend this hotel :-) xx

Room Tip: Our room was on the ground floor and perfect :-)
