We were disappointed after reading some fantastic reviews. We arrived at 3am to the whole place being locked up, which was ok as we arrived later than we had planned, and let our selves into our room. Very basic, not as clean as it could be. The beds were uncomfortable and we had one very flat pillow each. Bathroom was absolutely tiny too, not enough room to swing a cat round in.

Small family hotel yes, but not welcoming, I felt akward the whole time we were there and like we were intruding in someones house.

One night of our stay, the hotel were having a family party and were blasting music out until 2.30am, it was the loudest in a hotel I have ever experienced, we laid in bed hoping and praying each karaoke song being played was the last - we eventually got to sleep at about 3am when they had packed up and gone to bed. I would definately recommend that if you have booked this hotel already, that you email and ask not to be put in a hotel room over the reception area.

On our first night venturing into Sidari we turned around and came back to the hotel as the roads were absolutely pitch black and we couldn't see where we were going, and couldn't order a taxi (this is also the first hotel I have ever stayed in where they don't and won't order taxis for you) so each night we had to order a taxi from our UK mobiles and get a taxi back, 5euro each way as it was very very unsafe to walk during the evenings. I would strongly recommend that young girls don't walk alone or even in couples, taxi's all the way.

We were also charged 11 euros on our first morning for two slices of toast each and some butter and jam...We only got clean towels twice during our stay and our beds made twice...
A very strange experience for me, and whilst I am not totally traumatised and it did not ruin our holiday, I definately would not return.

Positive points, the pool was absolutely gorgeous, and very well maintained, there is also a small play area for children, and a kids pool too. Plenty of sunbeds to go around so lots of sunshine for everyone.

Room Tip: Don't book over the reception!!!!

Received a warm welcome from owner Damia to this well kept, attractive apartment complex. The aim of the owner was for this to feel like an extension of her family home and this was largely achieved. All the staff were friendly, helpful and genuinely interested in their guests. During our stay Damia lent us beach towels and went out of her way to give my partner insect cream after she was badly bitten. Our two bedroom apartment was clean and regularly serviced. After a couple of hot nights we decided to pay for the airconditioning and this was a godsend at 60 euro's for the week.. We overlooked the large pool. There were plenty of sunloungers. The only downside was that there was only one night of entertainment during our ten day stay. Thank you for a lovely holiday.

Just returned from Damia Hotel 24 August 2013.
After reading reviews on trip advisor was 50 / 50 about the hotel....
Let me put the record straight... wonderful place..... wonderful staff .......wonderful food.
would return tomorrow.... going to save up so i can buy the plot of land next door....(i wish)

Let me start with Damia herself... what a lovely kind warm lady.., Damia went out of her way to help with any questions we had during our stay, we regard her as one of our friends now and miss her.... thank you Damia :-)

Anna 1 & Anna 2 & Maria again lovely people couldnt do enough for us, polite and helpful and fabulous service.

Alex Great bar tender with a smile
Stuart.... Great food !!! thank you- we stayed half board really enjoyed the food.... gyros plate and souvlaki ! yum yum thinking about it now.
continental breakfast included, but could upgrade to english breakfast at a supplement which was something and nothing.
evening meal choice of 2 starters / 2 mains + desert. and another choice of menu for the kids... my daughter is a real fussy eater, but this was no problem. Stuart was always great ...and would always make her something she would eat.
Damia had no problem with us swapping dinner to lunch some days so we could go out and eat it Sidari for a change. 5 Euro into Sidari in a taxi each way....
We stayed on room 306 which was a 2 bedroom apartment on the second floor. the apartment overlooked the childrens play area. lovely spacious bedrooms, clean and well maintained.

The pool is lovely and welcoming in the heat, my daughter virtaully lived in it!!! lovely big and clean....

prices of stuff i can remember to give you an idea of costs...
Beer 3 euro
pepsi / 7 up etc 2 euro
small water 50 cents
fruit cocktail 3 euro
milkshake 4 euro
icecream from 1 euro ( really nice kids loved)
Gyros 2.50 (my fav)
snacks are all reasonably priced

All i can say is if you choose this accommodation to stay for your holiday you will not be disappointed.
We miss you all and thank you all for making our holiday so enjoyable

Just returned on 24th August fab place to stay. Damia greeted us on arrival at around 11.45pm quickly shown to our room, we then went to bar for a quick drink and met all the staff who provide an excellent service no matter what time of day. Damia organised our transfer which was an hour quicker than the coach as another family were on same flight and arrived well after us you can email Damia directly.
Excellent place to stay pool is huge and very clean, set in back garden of hotel which is unusual in Sidari most are roadside.
Staff are fabulous and helpful all the time. Alex the barman is very funny and remembers what you drink. Both Anna 's are lovely and so attentive. Maria is very sweet and will see you to your every need poolside.
Damia is just great and always there!
Would defo return hopefully very soon!

Me and my husband have just returned from staying at the Damia for 10 days...we was greeted with a very warm welcome from Damia with a nice cold refreshing drink...we was then shown to our rooms and was told anything we needed just ask...nothing was too much trouble...a lovely family. The hotel is situated about 15 minute walk into sidari main strip..which we found to be a pleasant walk..the pool area is lovely...plenty of sunbeds available all day..and a large pool what we also liked about it was the pool was at the back of the hotel rather than on the front like alot of other Greek hotels are...if you go into Sidari for a night out make sure you go to one for the road bar you'll certainly have a good night in there...Damia Hotel is definitely a place I would recommend and we will definitely be returning
