We stayed here for 14 days all inclusive, there was a great range of food every day, several of us being vegetarians we found this exceptional. The staff were all very helpful and cheery. Choice of cocktails and local spirits/beers was great, the rooms were large and cool. The entertainers where great, providing family entertainment every night. The only thing I must pick on is the other British guests telling us on our first day how awful the place was, well for a family of 9 including 2 vegetarians, 2 small children this hotel was fantastic. DONT LISTEN TO THE CRANKS!!!

We always go all inclusive as it works out best for us as a family however after being at the Corfu Panorama I will think twice for my next holiday.
The hotel itself was just ok. The rooms are basic which is ok however my son was upstairs in the mezzanine and the air con did not reach up there so he had to sleep in our bed. The first air con stopped working and the hotel quickly replaced it with a newer model. Even so, I would wake up at night sweating (usually I have my woolly socks and extra blankets with the air con) as it just was not very effective. Ended up dreading night times.
The staff were very nice even though our tv did not work and this was reported to reception 6 times over the fortnight (we like to keep up to date with the news) and was NEVER fixed.
The food was the only real issue we had. The food was well cooked but the range was very poor. This could have been because the dining area was not large enough to accommodate the food and the amount of guests. By day 4 we ended up eating out all the time as we were fed up with the choice. We have never had to do this before.
Every day we would have a super brunch at the BED bar along the strip which was also on the beach. Akis the barman on the beach was a great guy and would keep us free sunbeds and brollys at the waters edge as we were customers. We would have a Hungry Boy breakfast which was a full cooked breakfast including toast, jam, juice and tea or coffee for 3.5 euros. Fantastic value.
In the evenings for our meals we would visit various places and always had great meals for low prices. Must mention Mythos and Symposio who offered the greatest service, food and value for money. The Greeks were so kind and hardworking and friendly thus making the holiday very enjoyable.
I have read a lot of reviews regarding this hotel praising the choice of food but I am sorry to say we were very disappointed. We will definately visit Sidari again but NOT this hotel as we ended up using it as a place to sleep at night and even that was hard to achieve.

Room Tip: Dont take a room with a mezzanine due to inefficient air con

The hotel itself was fine - the rooms were clean and spacious, with a large balcony and a minibus to take you to your room when you weren't feeling energetic (up a very steep hill!). There were a lot of activities for children, with a separate pool for tiny tots. The food was very good - there was something for everyone at breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The entertainment was the same every night, with everyone sat outside by the pool area. The main concern I had was with the biting insects - I was bitten on my first day and visited the doctor every other day (we were only staying for a week)! I have never known anywhere as bad and I am a frequent traveller. We asked the tour rep. about this and he said the area of Sidari was prevalent for insect bites and well known apparently, so I would bear this in mind if you're thinking of going to the area, as it virtually ruined our holiday. We couldn't even sit on our large balcony because of the biting ants!!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a higher level as the views are excellent!

CORFU PANORAMA REVIEW JUNE 2011

We stayed at the Corfu panorama in June / July 2011. We are a couple with one 4 year old. First impressions of the hotel on arrival was good, the reception was large and freshly decorated. The staff spoke good English, we were checked in in 10th min. Our room was in block 5 one of the furthest away blocks. The hill is steep but managable. I used the bus about half the time, my partner and wee one used it most of the time.
If we went back we would try and get a room closer to the pool area.

We had one of the split level rooms which gave us plenty of space. The storage is ok but more would be better there is space for it. The furnishings were all in good / new order, the paint fresh.
The shower was surprisingly good for Greece, plenty of hot water and pressure.
The food in the restaurant was ok a few mains, salads and the usual A.I. deserts, ice cream and cheap gateau. The Greek food was passable. Not as good as real restaurant meals but acceptable.

The evening entertainment was mainly in English, which was an improvement on previous holiday entertainment we have had. On previous holidays the kids instructions are given in three languages one after another. So having an English / Irish team was great. Some nights there were Hungarian entertainers who did do some of the instructions in German.
The hotel has a small park, slide, climbing frame and see saw. All were working when we were there. There is a problem with the park area, it is next to the evening entertainment area and when the kids entertainment is over our wee one wanted to play in the park, but she had her good night time holiday clothes on and the park was also a sand pit. Which meant that any clothes worn that night would go straight in the case. No chance of getting them clean with a squirt of travel wash.
The hotel and bar staff are pretty good no grumpy faces or bad attitudes. But they were not particularly friendly, more efficient than friendly. The bar and pool area is always kept clean by the bar staff. We never had to wait too long at the bar. No longer than normal than in a bar back home. There is a two drinks limit at the bar, soft drinks are self service. Soft drinks and beer and wine are self serve in the restaurant.

The two pools are kept clean as are the surounding areas. The large pool is deep 1.3 meters at the shallow end and 2.5 meters at the deep end. The deep end is great for diving in, the shallow end not shallow enough. There is no sloping entry to the pool where younger kids can play and 1.3 meters is a bit too deep for younger kids. Neither pool was over crowded while we were there.
The noise levels in our room were ok. We could hear the entertainment once we went home, but it was not excessive. We could also hear other bars / clubs once our entertainment had finished, perhaps it was Camelot the late opening bar on site where you pay for your drinks once the AI has finished.
Ants, there were a few in our apartment, mainly in the bathroom, we skooshed them down the drain with the shower.
Mozzies, there are mozzies here, we seemed to get bitten watching the entertainment in the evening. The aftetbite cream from the chemist works pretty well. From what I have heard if you come to Corfu you are going to be bitten.
The food does get pretty repetitive. The choice is limited, probably more limited than most others AI we have been on. The food is generally good, the roasted lamb and chicken on the bone looked pretty roughly chopped with a meat cleaver exposing the bone. Not that appetizing to look at.
A lot of people we spoke to had problems getting food for their kids something to eat. The chicken nuggets and fish fingers they provide every few nights didn’t look to appetizing once they were cut open.

The mix of nationalities was about half German / Polish and half UK. We never had any problems with sun loungers at the small pool.
The walk to the strip takes 5 min, Canal de Amur less than 15, the nearest shop is just outside the reception, a larger mini market is 5 min away near the strip.
The A.I. drinks. The drinks are ok but a little weak, we never felt like we had had a lot to drink.
Snacks are available at the pool bar, they are cheese / spinach pies, or simple cake. More variety would have been good, fruit, pizza perhaps.
Would we go again? Possibly the kids entertainment was better than we have had before. Having your apartment so far away up a steep hill is not ideal. The food was ok, we have had better though. We will look for something else first but we could be back.

Have just got back from the Corfu Panorama (14 nights), we booked through Thomas Cook. It was myself, my husband and our two children age 6 and 3.

The hotel itself was fine, the swimming pools were great and not too overcrowded considering school holidays and not even too hard to get sunbeds during the day.

There is a steep hill, which we were awareof from reviews on here and our room was right at the top, but it's really not that bad, as there is a minibus that constantly runs up and down, and there is an easier route with steps... hard work with a buggy tho!

We were in block 9 which is right at the top. The room was ok, lots of room our bathroom was quite dated and basic. We had to get them in to fix air con, which they did very quickly. we had a tv but could only get ITV in b&w but not really a prob as we weren't on holiday to watch tv! We had one of the family maisonettes with two beds up on the mezzaine and two downstairs, but there is no air con upstairs and the one downstairs didn't reach up there, so it was incredibly hot up there and too hot for anyone to sleep so we had ourselves and our two children sharing the beds downstairs which doesn't make for a great nights sleep! Other familes carried the mattresess downstairs or slept on lilos! Also if you have young children there is also a window up bythe beds upstairs, with no lock that they could very easily get out of.

The food
This for me is totally where the hotel let itself down, the food was awful. we have done all inclusive before and the standard of food here was dreadful. I really can't believe peple give the food good reviews the actual quality is appaulling.

The dining room itself is too small, inadequate air conditioning and no room to walk between the tables. The staff were however very good at clearing tables quickly.

The food itself was bland and repetitive, unlike other AI's all the food was on hot plates, there was no way of getting anything cooked fresh in front of you.

Breakfast identical every day, no fresh fruit, pastries, fresh fruit juice or individual yoghurts. Same cereals, bread/toast and not very nice Englsih and Continental selection.

Lunch- the worst meal by far, very little choice and not good.

Dinners - varied, when they actually did Greek food (rare) it was actually quite nice, but they served up a lot of bland pastas/fish fingers/nuggets, chips, and random veg and meats. I don't eat that at home, and certainly don't want to on holiday. Same salads day in, day out. Desserts - ice cream always available, usually some flavoured angel delight/whip stuff, a cake made out of said whip and jelly.... occasionally very nice greek baklava.

The drinks weren't branded the coke is like cheap panda pop, lemonade like soda water and the juice all squash type stuff.

Entertainment

All done by an outside team, my children absolutely adored them and they truely made our childrens holiday special. I cannot fault the effort they put in especially Kirsty.

The actual programme is basically the same. A kids hour 8-9 followed by cash bingo and a caberet show/games show. A couple of nights a week a german duo do the entertainment instead still the kids hour and then a quiz..

Daytime wise they do waterpolo, darts, pool i think didn't really join in with . There would be very little for teenagers here.

Kids Clubs
2 hours a day, divided into 3-4yrs, 5-7yrs, 8-11yrs truely un inspiring, in a tiny room, my kids enjoyed it which is the most important thing really, but nothing like the standard of previous holidays we have done. A few times a week they do evening things which you can pay extra for.

Sidari itself is fine. Beach is an easy walk from the hotel, lots of the bars have sunbeds you can use for free as long as you buy drinks, sand isn't golden but certainly ok for sand castles. Nice shallow watgers quite far out. We hired a pedalo with a slide one day for 10 euros. Had a few nice meals out too, and had a great night at the "greek night" at Seabreeze, the kids loved the dancing, plate smashing and fire and the food was good too. The restaurant prices are really reasonable, so luckily we were able to eat out quite a bit, and i would recommend anyone going to go SC and just eat out. There were loads of lovely well priced places.

We went to the sidari waterpark twice, had a nice emptypool and three big slides and three small ones aimed at under sixes. It is 5 euros per person if you want to use the slides oryou can pay 10 euros per person and use it as much asyou want during your holiday. Once the 4 of us went and the second time, although we were all there we just paid for the kids to go on the slides whilst we watched, they were still happy for us to use the pool etc. Def worthit if you have younger children whowouldn't get enough out of the bigger water parks.

We hired a car for a couple of days from Vlaseros travel, we went to Corfu Town one day, had a wander round and went on the little land train, which is over priced really but the kids liked it.

The other day we drove to Paleo and went on the yellow submarine, glass bottom boat tour which was good. Nice little beach but very busy. Had a lovely fresh meal of seafood in one of the little restaurants.

Overall we did have a good holiday but i certainly wouldn't recommend the hotel to anyone (mainly based on the food). I tried from day 1 to change/upgrade to similar AI hotels for families but the other TC hotels were all apparently fully booked.

to be fair and honest i found the hotel a big let down after reading the reviews . i do not know who gives these hotels there star rating but i would only give this one a 2 star at the very most .to start with the breakfast the cerals were like card board bland and tasteless the toater did not brown your toast eggs were always over cooked and swimming in oil the ommletts were tasteless as was scrambledeggs the best part off breakfast was the coffee from a machine . dinners were better but not by much chips every day but there was a lack off sauces to go with the foods we were told that you had pizzas and burgers for snacks but we never saw any in 11 days while we were there.the snacks they put on esp the so called sandwiches were like eating a bag of flour so dry you could not eat them they had spinnach and cheese minuture pasties on odd days think they were left overs from main meal . the evening meal was the best but once again you were getting chips not much choice there was only 1bar to get adrink at from 930am to 11pm and u had to queue for 5 to 10 mins to get a drink at times i would not have called it a resteraunt but more a canteen we payed £800 a head for this holiday would have been better going selfcatering as it was more value for money eating out as we were out eating twice a mixid grill costing under 6 euros and a pint bottle of amstel 2euros the entertain ment was poor with the same scenario each night ie kids from 8threw to9 then agame off bingo then ther own cabarat act all pretty boring then they try to get u up to the pay bar after 11 pm all in all we were very dissapointed with the holiday and we have been to plenty off all inclusive hols PS thebest thing on the hols was the flights by tui on time and did not have much queing to do both in manchester and corf

Found it very hard to find fault with the Panorama. The apartments are basic, but if you're only using tham as a 'base', then they're perfect. Apartments around the Camelot bar are not recommened if you want a quiet night. Staff were friendly and excellent at what they do. The Food was good - although a bit repetitive. Whole resort was clean and tidy. There is a bit of a 'climb' upto the top of the resort, but there is a bus running 24/7 and you can't really complain about it when you see the view that you get from the rooms at the top - you can see Albania on a clear day!!. The location is the best thing, as it's just 5 mins from the town where there are plenty of pubs/clubs offering excellent deals for food & drink. If you're looking to explore Corfu/Sidari then you'll also find many places in the town to book various excursions for a reasonable pirce. My top tip: Hire a quad bike from Jim's and go exploring!!

Room Tip: Get a room far away from the Camelot Bar......
