we went in october & I found the hotel cold when the weatehr was rotten as they never closed the doors of the hotel. The bar at night was up on the roof & only had thick plastic blinds covering the sides, bitterely cold, sat most nights with a jacket on. Food as expected, although the snacks available were not good, dry cheese & ham sandwiches, mini sausage rolls, when they were finished usuall by mid day they were finished, mini feta & cheese pastry, mini cheese pastry. Cake at 4pm ish.........................
The entertainment team left a lot to be desired in my opinion............
A nice resort although a few shops/restaurants had closed for the season.
The beds were as hard as a board & hubby had a few bites & when we asked for a different matteress the bites stopped.........

Review of stay june 2011 - I had read mixed reviews on this hotel before travelling so was a bit unsure of what to expect, however I was pleasantly surprised at what I found. I have detailed below an unbiased review of what I thoought.

Hotel - Rows of apartments built into hillside, great views of the sea! Large reception area with friendly staff to welcome us in the middle of the night. Most apartments are up a hill but there is a courtesy bus that runs every 10 mins from about 8am to 12pm.!! Driver is always happy and eager to get you on the bus!!Onyl rule is that no inflatables allowed in the bus,wet people or children on their own!!
We had a family masionette as we were a family of 3,Bathroom downstairs.room with 2 twin beds pushed together, good sized balcony and a small staircase up to another sleeping area with a bed for the child. Room was basic but very clean and air-conditioning was great!! Small fidge in the room that you could put few bottles of water in.
I would recommend you take some mosquito spray though as we did get a few bites.!!
Food was good and better than some other 3 star hotels I have been to. There was always 2 or 3 different choices every evening and breakfast was of the same standard. You can also help yourself to beer , wine and soft drinks!!
Pool bar offers snacks between meal times but these are pretty poor unless you are a fan of cheese rolls!! What I did think was good though is that ice-cream is available all day from the pool bar and is included in the all-inclusive package.
Entertainment I would say was average, the entertainment team try their best with cabaret shows!! Bingo 2 or 3 times a week, I won 190 euros!! So well worth playing for couple of euros. What I also thought was good was in the evening drinks served from the pool bar were in glasses as apposed to other 3 star all inclusives were drinks are served in poor plastic cups that you get one mounthful out of and then have to go back to the bar.
Again take your mosquito spray to the entertainment area, that is where I got most of my bites!! After the entertainment around the pool bar finishes you can move up to the rooftop bar for a few more drinks , although not much else happens here other than some music playing and the reps hanging around, but ok if you fancy a few more !!
We hired a car for 20 euros for the day which i thought was reasonable and drove to corfu town, I would recommend this as it gives you the chance to see a bit of the island and the roads are well sign posted.
I would return to the Corfu Panorama as it met our needs, the location was good, food was good ,drinks were good and great for kids as there were plenty around and easy to make friends..

Location - Both the beach and resort centre are a 10 minute walk from the hotel, so need to pay for taxis. Resort centre has plenty of bars with entertainment, tribute acts suitable for both singles, couples and families. Drink prices are reasonable, pint of local beer approx 1.5 euros and plenty of cocktails available in happy hour , which lasts nost of the night approx 3 euros.

We decided on a late break and found the Corfu Panorama through Direct Holidays.

We were in block 14 and our room was huge with extra beds upstairs if you had a family this would be great. The balcony was a good size but could do with a canopy rather than open to the elements. It was good to have a fridge in the room and there was plenty of storage space.

The restaurant is not too big but at this time of year it was not too busy and we always got a good table. The staff were friendly and responded happily if you used a few Greek phrases.

Breakfast had something for everyone but I would have liked to see more fresh fruit. Maybe it was due to it being the end of the end of the season.

The pool was a good size and, despite other reviews, I as the depth markers around the edge. The water was too cool at this one of year for us o swim but there were plenty of folk enjoying the pool.

The pool bar was open during the day and or safety reasons they supply the drinks in plastic cups. This was fine for us and it showed a concern for people using the pool.

The entertainment team tied ard but there was obviously some in-fighting going on and this showed n heir performance, again this may have been to it being the end of the season but talking to them I think they just did not get on that well.

We only had lunch three times in the week and I must say I was impressed with the choices that were available. Dinners in the evening always had a pasta dish available plus several other dishes including a fish option which was very tasty.

The hotel is not as close to the beach as I thought but the situation on the hill and the views more than make up for it. Yes, the climb up the hill from the reception area is initially steep but it levels out at the first turn or you can take the minibus and he drops off at all the blocks.

Overall this was a great break and I would certainly recommend this for an off season holiday.

We booked as a last minute holiday - two parents and 12 year old for £1,000 all inclusive - we had absolutely fantastic value: school holiday week (24-31 Oct). Yes its a 3 star hotel, so basic but spacious accommodation, but nice touches such as kettle, fridge, hairdryer, safe, air-con (which also had warm setting for evening). Sparkingly clean considering last week of season the standards had not slipped anywhere throughout the hotel! Enough towels and rooms cleaned and beds made every day (except Sunday when maid has a day off - sure thats allowed and we managed to make our own bed)! The beds were very firm but we got extra covers and pillows as soon as requested. The food was fine - plenty of salad and a couple of hot choices at meal times, including always nice chips and scrummy desserts. Breakfast was typically continental - don't expect english sausages and bacon (because you are in Greece)! Agree with criticism of snack bar - very dry ham & cheese sandwiches and limited choice - although ice-cream everyday was lovely for daugther. Most of resort was closed as end of season but still cheap for food and shopping. Sidari beach not my favourite, but canal d-amour beach was lovely for swimming (even this time of year)! Kids pool and large pool extremely cold (but thats the time of year). Large pool is very deep. The staff were fantastic throughout and couldn't have done enough for us (especially Michel Med). We can now speak about 40-50 words of greek and had such a laugh learning. The entertainment team had a struggle on their hands - there were only 60 of us in hotel and weather was not hot enough for traditional 'pool games' but they were always trying to get something up and running. The shows and outfits were really great and they put every effort into each performance! Mini-bus for transport up to higher rooms but we were near pool on ground floor. Plenty of visible fire equipment (important as an ex Fire Safety Officer). On top of all this fantastic other holidaymakers made it a brilliant holiday.

Right just to start off for all you people out there thinking about going to this hotel DO NOT listen to all these moaning minnies.
FOOD- The food at the corfu panorama was absolutly brilliant nothing got repetitive and there was plenty of choice for everyone!
ROOMS- The rooms were basic but good all the basic things kettle, beds,tv,safe box etc.
STAFF- The staff at the hotel were brilliant with kids and the entertainment crew always had things to do for everyone.I got stung by a wasp while in corfu so we went to the reception desk and they were happy and gave us a pain relif gel.
TRANSPORT- there was a mini bus going all around the resort every 10 mins to bring people up and down the hill.

i very much reccomend this hotel to anyone!

Room Tip: we had rooms 307 and 308 very nice rooms

Stayed at the Corfu Panorama from 24th-31st Oct 2011, with my hubby, 2 children, aged 12 and 14 and also my parents.
We have tried long and hard to think of any negative comments, but just can not think of any. Firstly we had tried to book a family and a double room but couldnt so booked 2 triple. We also requested low floor rooms. When we arrived we had been allocated 2 family maisonettes on the ground level, right next to the pool. Nothing wrong with the rooms at all, yes they were basic, but at the end of the day you only sleep in them and at least they were clean.
The meals: We have read reports that the food was not up to much, well all i can say is they must have been extremely fussy eaters, as we had no issues with it. For breakfast there was at least 4 cereal, dried fruit, toast with honey, jam etc, fresh bread, meats, greek yoghurt, a variety of fruit to have with it, then a full cooked breakfast!!! Who could say they couldnt find anything they liked!!. Lunch was usually 2-3 cooked choices along with veg etc and a large variety of greek salads, with everything you could ask for. In the evening again there was soup, crusty bread, 3-4 hot dishes and greek salads. Also 3-4 desserts along with ice-cream. Not once did we have a problem with the food. The staff couldnt have been more helpfull, always full of smiles and happy to have a chat. Med the waiter was fantastic with everybody and nothing was too much trouble. In fact as soon as he saw us walk in for our meal, the drinks would be brought to us before we had even sat down.
It was the end of the season and the hotel was quiet, but that didnt stop the fun, in fact everybody interacted with everybody else and the children and adults alike had a great time around the pool. The water was rather cold mind!! as most people found out as they were pushed in!!
The main Sidari beach was empty and did have a lot of seaweed on, due to the weather not being good the week before, but if you walk up to canal de more the beaches, sea and views are stunning.
We had a fantastic holiday, met some great people, had great weather and were looked after by great staff in a great hotel. What more can i say!!

Room Tip: Higher rooms have fantastic views but ground floor are better if mobility is an issue although the m...

came here in june for 10 nights. Weather fantastic, pool area great.. entertainment not bad! The room well, my door wouldnt shut properly, several attempts on getting somebody out to fix it and it still wasnt done so my belongings werent safe when i went out. The cleaning lady was rude, my tap fell off.. i had no kettle in my room however my friend next door did. The food got boring and breakfast was just horrendous, fried ham and chipolata sausages! no thanks. Got fed up of having scrambled egg on toast. we went on a day trip and asked for a packed lunch, the bread had mould on it so i wouldnt recommend asking it seems like leftovers from the snack bar fridge and bruised fruit. Got sold a nice family boat trip from the rep to find it was full of drunken people, took us to an island and had a bbq on the beach with several other boats of loud people, just wasnt safe on the boat with 2 kids as a single parent so was mislead here a bit. The area on a whole isnt bad however not a lot going on apart from the strip of bars and shops near the sea. I personally would not come here again but thats my opinion on a bad experience and poor service recieved. I think the staff could have been more friendly but they just werent even the cleaner kicked us out our room on our departure day before we was due to leave. Shame really as the holiday cost be around 1300+ and ive had cheaper holidays with a much better experience. Each to their own.
