“Spot on!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 August 2010

This hotel, is in a perfect location for all amenities and the main strip and the beautiful canal d'armour, the sellas hotel is clean, tidy and staff are very friendly and helpful. Mimosa who manages the hotel works extra hard to ensure everyone has a pleasent and enjoyable stay. I would not hesitate in returning to this hotel in the future.

Sidari is full of nice bars and restaurants and there is something for all ages, friends, familys and couples. All meals eaten in Sidari were excellent and reasonably priced. Fagins and the Seabreeze restaurants are definately worth a visit, they do specials for 7 or 8 euros including pudding. For one of the best desserts try jennys cakes.

There is also a lovely beach in Sidari and sunbeds are only 2.50 euros each, which is cheaper than a lot of places.

All in all a fantastic holiday!

Cath and Steve Clark

we arrived 3am early hours and were greated with a warm welcome by mario the owner who is very pleasent ,he took us to our rooms ,we were well pleased with the views and the cleansiness of our apartment and the whole complex.in the morning we were greated be marios wife she was also very pleasent .and the breakfast was exellent.they have live entertainment on every week and play nice background music in the bar area where you can sit outside and enjoy a drink ,and an evening meal if you wished to do so.for people going b&b this consists of a continental breakfast which is coffee ,tea .milk orange ceareal ,eggs, cheese, ham.,toast or soft fresh rolls with butter ,jam, or marmalade and fruit of the day ,so just to point out that it is a continental breakfast which is ample. you can also pay for a full beakfast @ 3 euros for 2 eggs 2 bacon 2 sausages tomatoe ,beans.mushrooms 2 slices of toast with butter and jam or marmalade, they also have a full menu for food and drinks well recommended.the road is less than to mins from the sellas and brings you out straight onto the siesta pub and the 3 little pigs.turn right and you are only 5 mins stroll to the start of the strip ,with tavernas like the target ect and chineese restaunt on the way.we are looking to go back there next year
love to mimosa and mario if you read this

My partner and I have just returned from a 2 week break here and had a fab time.

The hotel is basic and clean which as a couple we needed nothing more. Mimoza and Mario were both lovely and as first time visitors to both the hotal and Island looked after us well. The pool area to clean as Mario spends time every evening cleaning up. As there is only one main pool (there is a tiny baby pool) you do have to share with children but it is a family hotel and should be expected.

The hotel is perfectly situated, close enough for everything but far enough away from all of the noise from the bars and their entertainment. The main beach is across the road and the smaller pretty ones are only 5 minutes walk away and well worth a visit.

There are plently of places to eat and we would suggest trying the local greek tavernas of which there are plently.

We also hired a car while in Sidari and would suggest to anyone who has never driven around the island before to buy a proper map and forget the free one the hire companies give out as its pretty useless.

All in all we would certainly go back for another stay.

If you're looking for luxury then look elsewhere!
The location of the hotel cannot be faulted- five minutes walk from the beach, located down a gravel road that leads to the main street in Sidari where you can find pretty much every thing you need.
On arrival we were 'greeted' by the owner, who only seemed to care about another couple in the arrival party who had been there before, completely ignoring the rest of us. We were led to our room, which was up a flight of stairs 'round the back of the hotel, not suitcase friendly at all! We weren't offered air conditioning (though we wouldn't have taken up the offer anyway as it wasn't overly hot whilst we were there) or given any information regarding what time breakfast was, how often the maid came in etc.
The rooms are very basic, two single beds, wardrobe and a bedside table each, along with a fridge that wasn't cold. The pool area was also pretty basic, I'm not sure however that the water was clorinated, as I saw the owner re-filling the pool using a hose pipe one morning! Alot of noisy kids splashing and jumping about were stopping there whilst we were so the pool area was far from tranquil!
I would have to agree with another reviewer who advises to take ear plugs if you are a light sleeper as the walls and doors are ridiculously thin and you can hear everything...and I mean everything!!! Also the balconies are NOT private, as it's simply a long one separated into four, so you could step over the wall and go into your neighbours room, not good security wise!!
The bathrooms aren't too good either, the shower is ridiculously small and each time I had one I ended up flooding the bathroom because the shower curtain wasn't long enough!
Throughtout our stay the owners didn't make any effort to speak to us and have a chat, were only bothered with talking to people who had previously stopped there- seems you need to be a regualr customer to get the best service!
Breakfast- I personally wouldn't bother and we didn't for 5 days of our week stay. Very basic food, slices of stale bread for toast, rank cereal, slices of ham and cheese and lukewarm coffee aren't my ideal way to start the day!

With regards location, turn right out of the driveway and you go into the busier sidari where the bars are, turn left then right and you get to the quieter end where all the nice retaurants are. Would recommend the italian that is directly oppoiste the entrance to the hotel and also three little pigs restaurant. Head straight across and you get to the beach.
The only thing that saves this hotel is it's location!

Better hotels in the area to stay I'm sure though!

(Would recommed hiring a car from one of the local hire agencies and driving down to Corfu town then following the coastal road back to Sidari, gorgeous GORGEOUS views! and corfu town is lovely!)
(Would not recommend Sidari if your after a clubbing holiday at all, only bars there really, so even if you're after one night out out of 7, it's not going to cater for your needs)

went there with my husband in august. the hotel is very clean and has its own pool and bar wihich serves a vast choice of food. the bed and breakfast option is ok the usual eggs, bread, juice. The rooms are basic and quite often flooded the bathroom but this is greece and you dont live in your room, but dont be put off because it was clean and regular amid service. Some write ups on here dont make the hotel sound very good, but its fine for a two week holiday. Its in a perfect location for the quiter end which is left to the hotel or the livelier end to right. Theres plenty of nice bars an restaurants, a recommendation is the family reastaurant which is left of hotel. You will have a good holiday here!

You have to be a bit careful walking down the drive to the hotel especially in heels but the location is perfect, 5 minutes from the bars and restaurants but very quiet in the evening and close to the beach. The staff were very friendly and we had no problems. Rooms cleaned very well and nothing ever went missing. We stayed during a heatwave so aircon was a must, I thought the price was reasonable. Rooms were clean and spacious enough for the amount of time we ever spend in there and we had a fridge.
Unfortunately there is not enough nightlife for us in Sidari and we won't be returning, however if we did we would return to Hotel Sellas.
