I went expecting one thing & got another. I thought the £7.50 entrance fee was rather steep however, when you see the work they've put into the paths & signage etc and see the preservation / conservation work they are doing - and see how huge the grounds are, the price seems a lot more reasonable. The trip to the falls is lengthy but very interesting and pretty. It had been dry so the falls weren't that impressive on the day but could imagine they're amazing.

a lovely afternoon spent at Englands highest waterfalls. Really nicely laid out grounds with different play areas for the children. The waterfalls themselves and the walk up there was beautiful, really reminded us of the forests of New Zealand! The original steps up to the top of the waterfall are steep and uneven so should be aware if have very small children! Afternoon ended with a lovely slice of cake at the café, so something for everyone!
Would highly recommend!

Me and my boyfriend went to the falls this morning in the drizzle and it was absolutely beautiful! Such a must for anyone visiting or living in Devon. Stunning views from the top, I can't wait to visit again!

Just got home from a full half day visit to the Falls and Lakes. We last went as a family several years ago but the place has lost noble of its charm and beauty. The walk to the head of the falls is just as steep as it ever was but certainly not enough to daunt anyone who is only basically fit. The climb/walk is shown as one hour in duration but we managed it easily in 40 minutes or so. However, it is essential to wear good walking shoes/trainers, we passes several people who had turned up in flip fops and even high heels!
Having read some of the recent reviews we were expecting a very pricey visit.....as it was this couldn't have further from the truth. We spent 4 hours there, did all the various walks, had ice creams and bottled water for less than £20. Compared to other Devon locations around Torbay we felt this to be very good value for money, better still if you took a picnic to one of them any beautiful picnic spots along the walks. Will certainly recommend it for a visit with or without children or dogs.

My wife always like waterfall, so this was on the must visit list on our holiday.
It is well laid out and easily completed although we were out of breath and the falls beautiful and the view from the top spectacular.
