“Couldn't have picked a better hotel!”
Reviewed 9 September 2013

Stayed for two weeks end of August to mid September and couldn't have picked a better hotel if I had tried.

Some people moan about the planes that pass over quite regularly but as long as you're not a light sleeper, I can't see how they bother anyone that much. They didn't disturb my sleep and our room was under the flight path. They are actually quite interesting to watch. As long as your prepared for them, and it's not a shock to you, it's no biggie.

Don't bother getting a transfer - our taxi from the airport was 10 euros - pretty good to be honest. And it's 10 minutes from the airport if that which is great after an early morning flight.

Our room wasn't ready when we arrived, but half an hour later it was and Xanthe took us to our room and carried my bag. The family here can't do enough for you. It's nice to stay at a hotel that isn't a massive brand or part of a chain - there's a big difference and a different atmosphere I think. A lot more relaxed.

Our room was just what we needed - two single beds pushed together which was fine, a tv, fridge with a little freezer inside, and a dresser with loads do other storage space in the room. We were on the ground floor but still had a nice little balcony. I had read previous reviews that said if you're near the service road then you hear the maids in the morning - after a two week stay I can honestly say I've never heard them once. And when I've met them, they're very polite. The room also has a door that leads onto the patio that is thin netting so no midges can get in! Really handy.

Air con is five euros a night and I'd say it was worth every penny. When you've spent a day outside in thirty degree heat, a cold room is just what you want to go back to!

The food is lovely - mix of Greek food with all the other bits and bobs you want - pasta etc. I'm sometimes a bit of a fussy eater and there hasn't been one meal I haven't enjoyed or struggled to find something I like.

The pool and gardens are all very well looked after. Pool is extremely clean. And a tip - yellow sunbeds are better than the blue ones. And there's none of this get up at 4am to put a towel on a sunbed malarkey. We were early birds but took our towels to breakfast at like half seven as there were plenty left. Free wifi is great. You can get this by the pool too which is a plus.

Beach is okay but not sandy. Two Rottweilers on the way to the beach are absolutely adorable. They come up to the gate when you walk past and say hello.

Rhodes town is lovely, especially the old town. But be careful of the con artists! Spoke to a family on the bus and they were conned out of twenty euros! So have your wits about you! Lots to see in the old town so definitely take your camera! Bus is easy to catch and very cheap. Bus timetables are at the hotel.

I work at a hotel back in the uk, so does my boyfriend, so we know what we're talking About when we both say that it is an absolutely lovely hotel and would recommend anyone to come and visit if you want a nice relaxing holiday.

Thank you to the family for making our stay so enjoyable! Hope to return in the future!

The hotel is extremely clean. The food was all home cooked and a good selection. Sweets were limited. Towels and bedding were changed every day. Nice Hotel.
Very tasty cocktail Vallian special. Maybe someone knows how to prepare it at home?

We have just returned from a very relaxing holiday staying at Vallian Village. We did read all the reviews beforehand and we booked our holiday because of them.
We were not disappointed. From the moment we stepped through the door the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful.
We arrived quite late and missed the restaurant but we were offered a pizza at the pool bar and it was fab! Our room was very clean and towels and bed sheets were changed every day.
We were all inclusive, something the hotel has been doing for about 2 years, and although there was not a huge choice what there was was home-made good cooking. We never left the table disappointed. Sitting on the restaurant balcony was a pleasure as the view is beautiful. Yes the planes fly over very low but if you research your holiday you would have know about them and maybe not go there! We did not find them a problem, it was actually quite interesting.
The pool was a great size for swimming and also very clean. The weather was very warm and we did pay 5euros a day for the air conditioning...it was very effective. There was a netted door onto the room balcony which was really good as the door was open but no nasty insects could get in. There was not a lot to do I the evening other than sit at the bar but we walked down to a bar 5 minutes down the road and had a few drinks before going back to hotel for late night drinks. The bus stop is at the top of the road, a few minutes from hotel. The buses did not run too much to time but there was always one that came along. 2.30 euros to get to Rhodes town and it took about 40 minutes. The beach was a 10 minute walk. It has a bar and a few sun beds but it is quite a pebble beach and quite difficult to walk on without shoes on. On our last day, because the hotel was fully booked, we could not stay in our room. They let us use the shower room which had a hairdryer......very handy after a full day in the sun. After we ate our evening meal we were driven to the airport by one of the family......another delightful thing they did for us during our stay. I would say to anyone thinking about going.....please do! To sum it up it was a relaxing holiday in a great wee Greek hotel, food and facilities fab! Who cares about the planes.....without them you could not get there!

After reading all the fab reviews was very disappointed as no where near what I expected. Just an average hotel in a crap location.

Hotel at the end of the runway and yes planes are endless and noisey. Food and accommodation very basic but I have to praise the hotel for its cleanliness.

I found some staff friendly and welcoming but not so much at the bar a smile wouldn't go a miss and don't find kicking a dog off the premises very welcoming.

P.s don't forget mosquito goodies failing that a chemist is a 10 minute walk away !

Absolutely loved this hotel. Went with 3 girl friends all 20-30 years old. A mere 8 euros in the taxi from the airport (airport is very close and you can hear/see the planes taking off through the day but it does not in any way ruin the hotel and is quite interesting) Never had a problem sleeping or was woken by them.

Rooms were spacious and spotless with a fridge, tv, balcony bathroom and hair dryer!.
Pool was lovely and they even had complimentary lilo's and pool play things for the kids (and we enjoyed them too) and plenty of sun loungers around the pool. A very family orientated hotel, great for relaxing but not great for clubbing or crazy nights.

The staff are so friendly and welcoming, doing anything to make you feel comfortable. On our last day check out was at 12pm but our flight was at 10pm! they were more than happy to store our luggage for free and let us stay by the pool with food and drinks all day.

The food was really nice, not entirely authentic Greek but good for kids and vegetarians too. Views were great and the location was great. 10 mins walk from the nearest beach, 5 mins from a bus stop taking you into Rhodes town for 2.30 euros or 22 euros in a taxi.

Amazing holiday, will definitely be back again :) Thanks Vallian.

Room Tip: All the rooms were great with nice views all around. Id suggest air con at 5 euro per night for comf...

Never thought that a hotel can be located right at the end of the runway of an international airport and still get a a licence to operate!!! 300 yards away from the runway tarmac, we watched them taking off and could read the letters at the bottom of the planes, not to mention the noise during the night! Couldn't sleep at the thought that it is right on top of us... Nice place but right in in the middle of nowhere but the airport. We used the hotel for overnight stay between flights till the next morning to Karpathos (we go there twice a year) but I think I would prefer to saty at the airport awake all night without having to pay an overrated extension of the airport. Price has nothing to do with it but... Never ever again...

Room Tip: only for plane spotting...

Having stayed in many all inclusive hotels in Rhodes, I can honestly say this is in my top two.
The family run hotel was very good, from the hospitality and friendliness to the very clean rooms with towels and sheets being changed every day.The food was also very good and varied.
We never had a problem getting a sunbed, which was a bonus.
The free wi fi was a definite plus.
We will definitely be returning next year.
