Very warm welcome, nice, new, spacy rooms.
good shower with good water pressure. very good breakfast. One of the very best B&B we stayed in Ireland. Nice landscape. Good for bicycles. The Greenway starts nearby.

Fantastic stay! Cycled with 2 friends from Westport along the Great Western Greenway and was treated to a generous full-irish the next morning. A triple room at 35euro pp was definitely good value given the quality of service. Incredible scenery around the surrounding countryside. Great for a real West of Ireland getaway!

I advise a note of caution for this B&B. Having read a review from a traveler that this B&B did not change their duvet cover between guests I queried this directly with the proprietor. His response was to inform me that there had been some confusion with the booking and advised me he was cancelling the confirmed booking for my wife, my 7 year old child and myself . At a cost of €110 per night I did not consider this an unreasonable request. This is my first time to write a review for a place I did not even get the opportunity to stay in!

best sleep we had on our trip. Really nice room. More than we would usually pay for a night, but worth it to recharge the batteries in a very comfortable space and wake up ready to explore the amazing surroundings.
Cheers, to the ladies at breakfast for big smiling faces to put you in good form to start the day too.

stayed here for three nights.....would say it was too expensive for what it is ...in particular room we had ...dark..dull....basement like ....at almost 100euro a night(b&b) for us both .....(couldnt open a window at night as ground floor/side of house)...bathroom window wouldnt open !!...and could really do without radio gaga 'playing' while having b fast(which was v good!)..like all other aspects of w end ...too dear ....as a nation we just cant seem to shake it off ...charge whatever you can ...not what its worth !!!!!

Room Tip: avoid room three

Stayed here for 3 nights last week during a lovely spell of weather. Used it as a base to cycle around the island and do some hiking. I'll keep this review short, because it was great all round. Wonderful and personal service. Lovely family that owns it. Very relaxing with an awesome breakfast in the morning. Lovely location that is a bit away from the usual spots on Achill.

Will return here on my next visit.

Stayed here with my fiancé for 2 nights in July. The b&b is situated in the village of Bunacurry and is very easy to find from the main road. The place itself enjoyed lovely views and was very well kept and clean. The staff were also very welcoming and friendly. The bed was very comfortable and the room fairly big. Because of the size of Achill all the major attractions and things to do are only within a 10/15 minute drive.

The only minus point I'd have with the Achill Lodge is that on the morning we were to check out we wanted to pay for the room with our credit card, but were informed that they didn't take cards, only cash. This wasn't mentioned on the website or on Booking.com who we booked with. It might seem like a small thing but the only ATM on the island was back at Achill Sound a 15 minute drive away. We had to drive there, drive back to pay and check out and then drive back through Achill Sound on the way home. Even if the staff had informed us when we checked in we could have taken money out during our stay! Just be warned! Aside from that I would still recommend this b&b
