“20 year old couple, cheap week away.”
Reviewed 20 August 2013

Just arrived back at home after a week at the Oula Apartments in Kavos. We arrived at the resort at 4am and we were greeted with our room keys and everything was done smoothly. We stayed in room 203 which was in the block of apartments which was across the small road so we had no noise from the pool bar late at night and due to the location of the apartments nobody passed through at the early hours of the morning. The rooms were very clean, basic self catering rooms with a kettle, microwave, fridge and air conditioning which was €60 for the week or €10 for the night. The shower wasn't very good but that is the only thing we would change. The pool area was very nice with lots of free sun loungers everyday and good music. The chlorine content in the pool was quite high as some of my shorts turned green and a few others thirst turned green also. It was cleaned regularly though. One of the main problems is the number or wasps that were around. Whilst lying round the pool or eating food the wasps were around all the time and spoilt the mood of the holiday. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and would cater to our every need. It was a 15 minute walk to the centre of Kavos however this walk was made extremely difficult due to the very annoying PRs in the bars and restaurants who couldn't take no for an answer. We ate out a number of times but the food at Oula was good enough if we wanted a night in. Overall for the price we paid for the holiday we did have a very nice time due to the hotel and the weather being great. It would be a perfect cheap hotel if it was in a different location. Just be prepared to argue with the PRs on a everyday basis.

Room Tip: Either rooms 201/202/203 or rooms at the very back at the hotel.

just got back from a week at the oula and overall disappointed. first of all the pool bar and reception was good. the pool was maintained and very clean. we had room 109 which was right on top of the pool and where everybody walked past to get their keys at all times of the night, major drawback if you have a family, being woken at 5 and 6 in the morning is not nice. I understand it is a young persons resort and this hotel has a 24 hour bar but perhaps a little respect could be asked for by the management. onto the rooms which were basic to say the least. my daughters were on ground floor room 105 so had to keep the windows shut at night so needed air con, 60 euros for the week, there was 1 power point so had to boil a kettle by our beds. the tv was a waste of time, only 1 channel and the shower was not worth talking about. I don't think I would return however as the hotel is a 10 minute walk from kavos strip it is in the best position although it is dimly lit walking back at night. I have to repeat other views and say that you get what you pay for but for a family no, but young people a big yes.

Room Tip: avoid rooms 101 to 111 overlooking pool because of the noise

Absolutely loved staying here, went with a group of 4 of us originally meant to be staying in the maisonettes but ended up getting switched to two separate rooms. At first we were quite annoyed but the staff done everthing they could to get us next to each other. Everyone was so friendly, we were able to have a good laugh with all of them. The food and drinks were reasonably priced and it was such a nice atmosphere around the bar and pool area. The reception was 24 hours with someone always there incase we needed anything, also making us feel safe knowing that there was always someone awake! The walk to the strip and the beach was an easy 10 minutes but we knew this before going there and didnt have a problem as it meant that we were not around all the noise when we wanted to sleep.Overall, me and everyone in my group would definitely return to Oula Gardens, Completely made our holiday! :-)

When we arrived the in Kavos the hotel we were supposed to be staying at was fully booked and so we got moved to the Oula hotel. Initially we were dissapoonted however it turned out to be a blessing in disguise as the Oula hotel was perfect for us. A great apartment for a small group people with kitchen facilities! All the staff, both on reception and housekeeping, were very friendly and accommodating! The hotel was a slightly longer walk from the Kavos main strip than we were hoping but that wasn't the end of the world. Staff were on reception 24 hours which was great as the clubs in Kavos are open very late! Overall it was a very good hotel and great value for money!

Myself and 6 friends have just returned from a week at Oula. The staff were lovely and really friendly when we requested extra pillows, towels and loo roll they were brought to us. The rooms were cleaned and bedding changed regularly also despite what you may read on here nothing was stolen from us and the cleaners were as lovely as the rest of the staff.

The food at the pool bar is nice and good value too paticularly the 2 euro breakfast! The apartments are a 5-10min walk from the main strip the walk is not well lit on way back so best to never do it alone but the advantage is that you're close to the action but not too close so it's in much nicer surrondings than the apartments right on the strip!

The reps from Olympic are great they made sure that you had all the info you needed to have a great holiday.

All in all me and my friends had a great time and would happily stay there again!

Room Tip: The rooms for 6 people the actual maisonettes are perfect 2 bedrooms upstairs and a lounge downstair...
