Thank for your review..
I hope I ll see you again soon mate.
All the best mate.
I went for a girly party holiday. Kavos really lived up to that! Oula is more of a family hotel to be honest, its about a 15 minute walk from the strip so perfect if you want to be set back from the craziness! Beach was about the same distance, however its not a pleasant beach! Hotel was nice enough, basic but nice :) clean and perfect for what we wanted, poolbar is 24 hours which was great! Food was so cheap and good too, they had safes for a charge and aircon was available for 60 euros for the week i think! (Ideal as it was reaching 40 degrees) pool was cleaned daily, usual pool area, free loungers and decent music played all day, theres a massive problem with hugeee wasps! They were everywhere but thats greece in general ive heard, our rep was lovely and made sure we had a good time! Love kavos and would go back tomorrow, recommend epic thursday! (Booze cruise and paint party) awesome day, great place for partying!! X
I hope everything is ok back in the UK and you aint missing us too much :) .
Please keep in contact as it would be great to see you 2 soon.
All the best.
went peak season last summer with 3 other girls, and the hotel was perfect!!
We had two separate rooms which were great, huge full length mirrors (v important !) big enough for me and my friend to get ready in front of without having to take turns, really clean and tidy and everything worked great.
The best thing about Oula though is how friendly the staff are, no one cared when we returned home at 7/8/9 in the morning, nor when we played music on our balcony. food was wicked and cheap. seriously can't go wrong with this hotel.
there are hotels closer to the strip (eg morfeas) and nicer (kavos plaza) but its not exactly a long walk (6 mins). and the strip isn't exactly an area of outstanding natural beauty in they day when you're vaguely sober so really not being bang on it is quite a good thing.
Stayed there 2nd -9th Sept 2013.Arrived there at 6am and was made welcome and taken to our room.Having read the reviews on here beforehand,we knew to stay away from room 105.So how unlucky to be given room 105,Arghhhhhh.Before unpacking I went straight back and asked to be changed.Room. 105 is nearest the bar/reception and the bar has drinker til 5/6am even 08.30 one morning.Plus music is played 24 hour in the bar area.Luckily we managed to get moved to a room at the back of the complex which was much bigger the the ones near the bar.The ones near the bar have to seating or table in the room and 105 felt a jail cell with the fridge door all kicked in.
Besides that issue everything was fine.Oula Maisonettes is situated far enough from the main strip but close enough to walk.It took 8 minutes to walk to the biggest supermarket,Chandris which at the start of the town so no hardship there. You have to be carefull walking into town down the 8 minute bendy roads cos the you uns come flying round on their quads/mopeds.
The staff at Oula were friendly and helpful.Food was ok,the pool is cleaned regular.
And............the best thing was a large beer was 1.5 euro at the bar, cheaper than anywhere in Kavos itself. The age range at Oula when we were there were generally over 30.Some dare I say would have been in their 60's.The young uns who were there were nice and friendly so overall a good atmosphere.
Towels and bedding could have been changed more regular.
You get what you pay for,so paying £177 you can't expect the Ritz.
Would I recommend it....Yes.
Very close to the strip for the amazing nightlife of kavos but not too close so it's not noisy and messy! Lovely food and the pool is amazing! Was very very clean and the workers regularly cleaned the flys out of it! Rooms were cleaned everyday and had everything needed. I accidentally broke the shelf in the fridge and because I was honest and told them about it they said there was no charge. Overall the staff were very friendly and the hotel was more than we expected!
Just arrived back at home after a week at the Oula Apartments in Kavos. We arrived at the resort at 4am and we were greeted with our room keys and everything was done smoothly. We stayed in room 203 which was in the block of apartments which was across the small road so we had no noise from the pool bar late at night and due to the location of the apartments nobody passed through at the early hours of the morning. The rooms were very clean, basic self catering rooms with a kettle, microwave, fridge and air conditioning which was €60 for the week or €10 for the night. The shower wasn't very good but that is the only thing we would change. The pool area was very nice with lots of free sun loungers everyday and good music. The chlorine content in the pool was quite high as some of my shorts turned green and a few others thirst turned green also. It was cleaned regularly though. One of the main problems is the number or wasps that were around. Whilst lying round the pool or eating food the wasps were around all the time and spoilt the mood of the holiday. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and would cater to our every need. It was a 15 minute walk to the centre of Kavos however this walk was made extremely difficult due to the very annoying PRs in the bars and restaurants who couldn't take no for an answer. We ate out a number of times but the food at Oula was good enough if we wanted a night in. Overall for the price we paid for the holiday we did have a very nice time due to the hotel and the weather being great. It would be a perfect cheap hotel if it was in a different location. Just be prepared to argue with the PRs on a everyday basis.
