This is a very nice hotel , next to all the bars and the clubs and the beach of course . Party never ends in kavos in the bars , in the discos in the streets in the beach . The rooms are nice and clean but do not expect something outstanding . The prices of the hotel and of Kavos generally are cheap . There is a very nice wild beach Arkoudilas but either you have to walk a lot or rent a scouter . The becah of Kavos is OK . If you want to find a place to party just go there if you want a place only to sleep and rest from 11.00 the it's not the right choise

This was our 2nd year goin to kavos and we was soooo excited as the 1st year had been immense and we was staying at island beach the clubbing experience and the host of sandstorm.. i will say dont let the photos of it fool you when we went to sandstorm there was about 8 people and yet it looks so busy so dont pay the extra money just for that. When the coach stopped on the strip we thought yesss perfect location and as we walked to the hotel it got better. once at reception the 1st thing we was greeeted to was 2 girls complaining becos reception had lost their key. greeeaaaaaattt! then half hour later we was shown to our rooms, we was taken back onto the strip and had to turn off to find loads of blocks of appts, so they was nowhere near the actual hotel. once inside we found we had no kitchenette we was living in the same block as a woman who lived there we had 2 beds thrown in a room with a wardrobe. our shower was freezing and only dripped so we had to go and use the lads room for a shower whose was like a 5min walk from ours aswell. not ideal. the safes were down at reception again which was a walk from our room so every night u had to go and get money out. we was sooo hot gettin ready and realised we had no air con unit to buy air con which was a joke , by this time it was the 3rd day and we had been eaten alive. so we complained and in all fairness to the main man he was lovely and sorted us out straight away and even made the booze cruise boat wait for us whilst doin so. we then got moved to a diff block of rooms with its own private pool which was lovely. the rooms were nice and clean everything worked we even had a microwave this time. and we had like blacked out doors on our balcony so it kept the light out so we had tonnes of sleep..security guard about which was needed as where our mates were staying some rooms had been broken into. i can honestly say kavos is the best place ive been on holiday and i will go back again. the bars are amazing.. rockys, 42nd street buzz bar and atlantis! every single place ive eaten out has been lush ,pennys do amazing food .. spesh brekkie :) if u go u have to go to tkd rodneys and either have a meal and melon or just a melon. there mental they just keeep pourin and pourin the alcohol until u say stop! and the booze cruise was the BEST day ever!!! what i will recommend is either to stay at lemongrove apartments or agnes next door. its so chilled out , right on the beach, gorgeous cheap food, no problems what so ever, best end of the strip to start at aswell. Overall i would tell anybody to go kavos and weve made loads of our friends go and theyve all loved it but it does matter where u stay as it will affect ur whole holiday.. its not the worst place to stay but for the money there is deffo better places so shop around ;)

Room Tip: my reviews go off the new rooms we got moved into. if u do stay here ask to stay anywhere but marghe...

We stayed at Island Beach Resort from the 1st to the 8th August in the Party Hard Rooms.
We knew the rooms weren’t at all similar to the 4* accommodation offered in the main hotel and there was a huge price jump, however we really liked the look of Island Beach Resort and the fact you got free entry to their Sandstorm beach party! We arrived at about 2:30pm at Kavos itself as were greeted by the Receptionist and the hotel rep. She gave us a quick tour of the bar and pool area, showed us where we could get a safety deposit box for 20€ for the week and then showed us to our room. You can also book most things through her like the booze cruise or Aqualand. The hotel is right on the strip and in the middle of everything!
Some of the other reviews said that the Party Hard Rooms were “up a dark alley” – they aren’t. They are across the strip surrounded by other little apartments either owned by Island Beach or being stayed in by people working out there for the summer. We were a bit disappointed they weren’t closer to the main hotel but it wasn’t an issue.
The rooms are a lot smaller and a lot more worn than they look on the photos on the website – but to sympathise with the hotel, they have hundreds of people a season and who cares?! We were literally in our room to sleep; we didn’t even eat there because food was so cheap in the restaurants. It had a little kitchen area, two beds, plenty of wardrobe space and a bathroom. The bathroom was a bit strange – it was more like a wet room, with no shower curtain and you had to hold the shower head but because it was tiny everything got wet. No big deal though when your only there for a week. The rooms were cleaned everyday and the sheets were changed regularly. No one stole ANYTHING from us, if your stupid enough to leave money in your room when theres a safe in the hotel reception then what do you expect? You can also get air con for 40€ for the week – we didn’t bother but the rooms are really, really hot and sticky so it depends if that bothers you. GET MOSQUITOE REPELLENT!
The pool area in the daytime is amazing though, they don’t charge you any money to use the sun beds, it is scorching hot and has such a good atmosphere. It doesn’t get busy until lunchtime and we got the same beds every day. They charge you 2€ per sunbed on the beach and 1€ for an umbrella but you do get a free soft drink each included. The beach isn’t that nice but it’s quieter if you have a massive hangover and the sea is really clear. The bar area where they hold the Sandstorm party leads onto the beach so you can always walk straight down if you are by the pool.
There are hundreds of bars in Kavos that did the same offer with watered down alcohol but there were loads of nice bars and restaurants that do amazing cocktails. Go to TKDS, depending on which side of the strip you stay, if you’re in the party hard rooms turn left at the top of the street and head down the strip) – it’s above a bar about a minute walk away (it’s on the street where Club Sex is) but if you ask someone they can point you in the right direction. The food is amazing, a bit pricier than some places but the meals are huge. The cocktails are incredible and they have shisha lounge. I think the shisha was 7€ for a pipe and we tried mixed fruits and cherry. Pulse bar is great for breakfast and there are loads of nice restaurants if you turn right down the strip. Terry’s Taverna was amazing, you got free garlic bread and free dessert with any meal and the staff were so nice!
The Sandstorm Beach Party held at the hotel on the Thursday was good, we were disappointed that we got Devlin and not DJ Fresh but it was free so it didn’t matter. The foam party at Club Sex was 20€ and amazing. Be careful though cos there’s a few weirdo’s lurking in the foam! We missed Trinity because it was on the night we flew in and flew out!
Definitely go to Kavos if you’re wanting to chill in the day and party at night! It is cheap, tacky and you get what you pay for! Island Beach is perfect for a girls/lads holiday. In total the flights and hotel cost £360 and we spent £300 all week. Don’t go if you’re looking for a romantic break or somewhere for a family! Head further up the island!

Room Tip: The party hard rooms are fine if you just want somewhere to sleep and shower - if you're used to...

DO NO STAY HERE- Me and a few mates recently stayed here I have to say extremely disappointed with the accommodation and the hotel staff. Right from day 1 they didn’t care about us or our concerns. The whole place seemed to be full of angry customers. I would recommend Kavos for a holiday but not the Island Beach Resort. We stayed an extra week but in a different hotel and I have to say you can get 10 times better for your money!

Room Tip: Just don't

all the staff are really friendly the rooms were really nice in size and quality also very clean.

the location was perfectly located in the centre of the strip, the pool was very clean and the access to the beach was perfect......

i recommend this hotel to any body who wants to have a good time in kavos because it is a guarentee.

Stayed there in July with a group of friends and definitely enjoyed it. It's a resort just by the sea and very spacious. The rooms are nicely decorated and clean. We spent most of our time in resort as the main street was too busy and we preferred to relax by the sea or by the pool. Restaurant of the hotel was fine and we enjoyed having breakfast with panoramic view of the sea. Some others guests around the pool area complained about the rooms but as they said they actually got what they paid for. It was a nice experience and would recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Kavos.

Myself and 4 other girls booked to stay in the 'party hard rooms' On the website the rooms looked quite nice, basic & clean which is what we wanted. We arrived at 2am and were waiting around for over an hour before we shown to our room. We was taken through the strip, up a dark alley way to another set of apartments (a 5minute walk from the hotel pool) We booked 2 rooms, although it turned out that all 5 of us was in an small apartment with 2 bedrooms! One of the beds wasn’t even a proper bed, but a spring pull out bed what was in the KITCHEN! The room was terrible. Beds were so hard and lumpy. I had to turn my mattress over because it was so bad. The bed didn’t have a proper bottom sheet on but a blanket. One of the wooden planks fell out after lying on the bed! The lights in the room would overheat and turn off after being on for 2 minutes. The mosquito net on the door wouldn’t pull down and also had a hole in it. The shower would either be boiling hot or freezing cold and didn’t have a shower curtain so the floor in the bathroom would overflow. Luckily we were staying for 2weeks as we got our sheets changed once and clean towels. Although my friend got some make up on the sheets and towel and had to pay 27euros! We paid extra for air con that would make a constant noise, spit ice, water and black things out all over the floor and table. The light on our balcony didn’t work so we couldn’t ever sit out of an evening. The apartments are so close to the strip where all the bars and clubs were, that it was so noisy until around 5-6am. With the doors and windows closed you can still hear the music! The maid wouldn’t even knock on the door when she came in to clean the room. Well I wouldn’t even say she cleaned, she would rinse the cups and shower, empty the bins and mop the floor without sweeping so there was wet clumps of dirt everywhere & the air con would only work when we was in the room as the key for the electric also powered the air con. Our beds wasn’t made once whilst staying here for 2 weeks, just half folded up and left at the bottom of our beds. In one of the draws there was written 'Watch out for the maid, she’s been stealing from us' The maid would just come into our rooms when we was asleep and wake us up by opening the balcony doors so the sun was shining in our faces. The hotel didn’t supply toilet paper so we had to buy these ourselves. The next morning we complained to reception, we asked if we could upgrade our room or even move apartment and they said no. One night we locked ourselves out of our room so we went to reception to ask for a spare key (around 6am) the person behind the desk said that there wasn’t a spare key, and we had to wait to 8am to speak to the next person that works the day shift! Myself and my friend was hanging around Kavos till 8am before we eventually got a spare key from the owner of the room! (All he had to do was call the owner but he didn’t want too, so waited for someone else to come on the morning shift to ring!) The reception staff are awful and rude. They couldn’t care less that we weren’t happy with our room, or couldn’t even get into our room. He said "There’s nothing I can do. Do you hate me?" And carried on watching T.V as we walked away. I don’t usually write reviews but I would like everyone to know what they’re paying for. The party hard rooms are not what they say on the website but the complete opposite! When I booked this room there was no review‘s about these rooms but I’ve noticed that since I’ve returned home there are lots of bad reviews. On the other hand Kavos nightlife is amazing and the hotel pool and bar is nice. (Although the pool will turn you green from the chlorine) DON’T BOOK THE PARTY HARD ROOMS!!!!! For those of you that have read till the end of my essay thank you!
