I've written a fuller review for Langass Lodge incorporating the restaurant in the hotel section - where we felt the room was a let down ............. but not the food. However, the food was so good I felt I had to add a further brief review here on its own covering the restaurant.
We ate here on each of the 3 nights of our stay and the food was 1st class on each occasion. Highlights included the starter dish of scallops with black pudding; lobster, turbot and sea bass for mains; finally the puddings were also excellent and provided a great finish to the meal.
Staff were informal and friendly and added to the relaxed atmosphere.
Meals can be taken in the bar area or restaurant - the menu is the same for both. The view from the windows is beautiful.
There is a good wine list and reasonably priced.
Finally, although there is no dress code, most tend to make a little effort to tidy up for dinner. The reason I mention this is that you may see a man walking about in scruffy trousers and holes in his jumper - don't worry as I believe he is the owner! Hmm. It did seem a bit strange.

We had 2 dinners at Langass, one in the Restaurant and one in the bar. The menu was the same, but it might be because its early season. Anyhow, the menu was so tempting it made no difference. Everything we had was delicately presented and was fresh and local produce. Was especially fond of the platter with tastes of smoked fish and seafood.

I could have stayed there longer just for the food! Good selection of malts in the bar, and friendly staff.

We had a good stay here, excellent room sizes an accommodation and a good restaurant. There was a small mix up on our dining time, but this was sorted very quickly. The owners were very helpful and the property has good views

We had pre booked a table in their restaurant having seen their menu inline. On arrival we were given the bar menu and told that we could not have the restaurant menu as we were not special. The food that we did order was not of the best quality. Beer battered haddock and chips consisted of once fried commercially purchased frozen chips and a tasteless fish with a stodgy and undercooked batter. We will not be returning.
