Arrived at 1pm and of course we were told that we could have our rooms at 2pm so luckily we didn't mind because we planned to have lunch first. Will be writing a separate review of their restaurant later. Now about the hotel, for the price we paid, I don't think the hotel was up to par with the rates they charged. The rooms were beautifully designed in the inside maybe because we booked the most expensive rooms they had, the ones with terraces, but we were appalled by the lack of little things they should have prepared in the rooms.

First they made us sign a paper confirming receipt of remote control, towels and sheets?! Don't know what that was for maybe they feared people would still them!! My gosh our towels were much better than theirs, their towels were thin and small more of shawls actually...and their sheets..who would steal sheets?? Anyway we inspected the rooms and found that there were no towels provided in the other room, insufficient blankets for both rooms, pillows not covered with a pillow case in one room so imagine seeing the pillows with marks of dried yellowish and brownish saliva from previous guests, as a hotel they should make sure that the rooms including everything inside were ready for the next occupying guests. To add to that, the light bulb in the toilet was broken, there was leaking in the other room's toilet..but was later told that it was just water..no leaking..so why didn't they even mop it before giving us the rooms right? After listing everything missing and needed for the rooms (yes I listed everything on a piece of paper so they wouldn't forget),we had to wait for several hours to get it all delivered to our rooms so we were stuck in the rooms and were not able to even go out, I had to personally follow up with them at the reception area 3 floors down, the hotel didn't even have a manager present. We didn't want to leave our belongings just like that especially after seeing the faces of the staff after telling them all our complaints so we waited for everything to get delivered. I really told them off, sorry to say that I have had better rooms and services from other hotels and resorts that are much cheaper than theirs and actually the room rates didn't matter if the service and rooms provided were really worth the price.

Did I mention the hotel staff was really slow...and there was a lack of staff as well. We even joked and said that we could apply for a job since it seemed they were really short handed. We only saw about 3-4 people and they were the same people working for the restaurant and rooms, I mean they should have certain people working separately for both not the same people,so in case the staff was needed for the rooms, they weren't immediately available because they were all busy waiting tables at the restaurant. The hotel is not managed well, disappointingly we did not thoroughly enjoy our stay at their hotel after all the fiasco of the rooms and awful customer service.

To top that they had this small pool, which we didn't mind but shockingly it was too dirty, looked like it hadn't been cleaned for weeks! A friend took the risk of swimming for just 15 minutes and came out of the water with red spots all over him, after rinsing in clean water the spots went away, so imagine the bacteria and dirt in the pool water.

What a waste this hotel is, it's on a good spot on the beach, with nice interiors and colors actually but the customer service and the cleanliness of the pool is downright terrible!

OK, so we arrived late at night and the 'only' room they had was the expensive suite for Php 5400. The curtains in the room did not offer privacy, the bathroom was very small and not up to par for the price. The staff is kind and helpful, but thats normal for the Philippines. The dining room looked over the beach, which was pretty, but unless you plan on spending lots of time near or in the water, you should pass on this property.

Went to Pagudpud with a large group of friends. We went with no reservations, or much info on Saud Beach hotels for that matter. We got there after dark and found this hotel with 6 available rooms. They were very accomodating with the limited staff unexpecting of a surprise group of 11 people. The staff at this hotel is great although there should be more of them. There were some restaraunt issues, but they seemed to be more due to the number of staff as apposed to problem staff. Althought food tended to be slow, it was very good. The rooms were great. For the price we paid I couldn't have expected more. We enjoyed our stay enough to extend a day.

For anyone going there I would say be patient with the staff. There aren't enough of them, but they are working hard to provide the best service they can.

We made sure we stayed at a beach front hotel. It had its own pool and a roof deck overlooking the beach. The place had a native Filipino theme.

The rooms were simple, yet clean and comfortable. We stayed in a family room with 3 double beds, equipped with cable TV. Most of their rooms can house 4 or more people.

The staff was friendly, but their service isn’t that quick. When we were having breakfast the following day, it took some time for them to serve us. It is also possible that they were under manned. The food was average but serving sizes were reasonable.

Value for money-wise, I can say it’s a teensy bit expensive. Their room rate was over PhP 5,000 and there was no complimentary breakfast offered.

We stayed here for three nights mon-thur last april. We checked some hotels around saud beach upon arrival and their rooms were the most attractive that we can find( I believe the most expensive too) .The rooms actually are their saving grace, nothing grand but has a homey touch in it.There were no beachfront rooms so we stayed on the second floor of the hotel.

The lobby, restaurant, rooftop were quite ordinary. The pool, imo was built for children in mind (very small beside the lobby). It was kind of non inviting every time we passed by it,too many sands and the color of the water is shady at best, so we did not use the pool at all during our stay.Saud beach is very quiet during the night,no nightlife whatsoever and most of the restaurants were closed after 10pm .

During our first night we were kind of stuck with this hotel's restaurant,as there are no other choices left. When we sat on our table around 9:30, there were many diners already seated (guests from other hotels as well). We sat there for like 30 minutes and no one came to us at all! . There were two or three servers and there were like 7 or 8 groups being attended. So okay, we kept our cool because we were the last to arrive and maybe their work load was too much for that night. But as time passes by it started to get irritating because the servers were really like playing and not working(most of them were young). Their style of work was very inefficient, two or three of them will stand beside a group and wait there while people choose their foods. I don't know if they were tired because the hotel was undermanned, but they were moving real slowly with no sense of urgency seeing other people were patiently waiting to be served.

One can feel that other people were getting irritated too because of the slow service, it's like a volcano ready to erupt at any moment and it's imminent that somebody will make a scene sooner or later. After thirty minutes of waiting there for nothing, I approached the counter to ask for a menu then went back to our table, guess what ?still no one came! I came back again after ten minutes and then there they are chatting, so I demanded to talk to their manager. Alas, there was no manager so I get the menu myself and demanded firmly that someone take our order immediately and came back to our table very irritated.

Then all hell broke loose, some body from another table started shouting claiming that the chicken were not cooked properly and there was still blood inside of it. The group was very angry with it and let it all out, from the slow service to the slow food preparation to almost everything under the moon :) . In the end, they did not finished the food and went away very angry. To my amusement after the group left, the staff started bad mouthing the group, talking behind their back making a kick out of it with some one making a threatening remark while other diners including ourselves were hearing their conversation !Talk about rudeness and tackiness!

We ordered our food afterward but most of the food on their menu were not available (really amazing!) So we asked what are available and ordered that out of frustration. We asked how many cooks were there and they told there was only one.We did not eat again in their restaurant for the remainder of our stay.

The service in this hotel was really bad, they're destroying the reputation of this hotel. It's like the owner has no concern at all and let a bunch of misfits ran the show. Most of the time they're smiling but they're really inefficient.

we stayed here for one night last May 2013 and i must say, the hotel is superb compared to other highly commercialised hotels which are expensive.. the staff were warm and accommodating and service was good. the location was perfect, just a few meters away from the beach..really nice view of the beach. the room we had was on the 2nd floor and it had a veranda where we ate and secured at night time. it had an indoor swimming pool too. it was one of the very few hotels which had lighting so you can have a swim at night time. highly recommended and would definitely come back! thanks for a very nice place!

This hotel is ideally located on the Pagudpud beach front and has the comforts and amenities of a decent vacation hotel. Nicely appointed with antique furniture, it gives the warmth of a home away from home. Food is decent although nothing spectacular. A good choice for a night or two in Ilocos!
