We visited this pub again very recently, everyone deserves a second chance. Very glad we did, the beer was good and well kept, the food was good, I had minor problem but was sorted out in a very straightforward and nice way. No problem with getting good resolution. we will certainly go again.

Visited for evening meal. Made very welcome. The menu wasn't extensive but enough to cover all tastes. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Food was hot, well presented and there wasn't a long wait. There was a lovely atmosphere, a folk group were playing, not loudly or overbearing.
It appears that there is a regular turn over of different brews, mostly local and some micro breweries.
If we lived locally I would like to think this would become our local. The bar lady said it was a pub that served food and not a restaurant that serves drinks and that is exactly what it is.

A group of 6 went for Sunday lunch. The food was very good. They serve very good beef. The deserts also were good quality. The landlady and staff gave excellent and friendly service. I will certainly go again

Have a camper and have the Brit Stops book. Whilst touring Suffolk and Norfolk decided to visit Lowestoft so looked for somewhere nearby to stay. We always do the courtesy of going into the pub for a meal (after all they don't charge for you to stay in their car park). We had a very pleasant meal and the landlady was very welcoming and friendly. Would definitely recommend.
