This was the last stop on a 6 day trip through Italy for my mother and I. The room was clean, spacious and well furnished. I was able to access the Internet, with no significant issues (but I wasn't Skyping or uploading photos). We checked in after touring Pompeii/Florence during the day, and spent our evening off site (pre-arranged dinner with transport, so no challenges with driving/walking from the hotel). When we returned from our dinner the staff had left the pool lights on for us and we enjoyed sitting outside for an hour before heading to bed. Breakfast was very good, and the rooms in which it was served were beautiful.

Noting the comments of other reviewers I would stay there again if I were driving, and expecting to stay on the premises as it is a) not close to public transport, b) in an agro-industrial area, c) not close enough to off site amenities to walk.

Nice architecture and nicely designed rooms and halls, however very weak (or non-existant) wifi! I tried two different rooms and in both internet was so slow that Skype would not even work! Having a decent internet connection is an absolute requirement nowadays, and this is supposedly a 4 **** hotel, so very irritated by this. A friend of mine also had her reading glasses stolen whilst staying here, and reception were non-cooperative and dismissive about it.

I stayed two nights for business which is located 600m away from hotel. But walking there isn't an option because there are no sidewalks on the nearby roads, which isn't the hotel's fault, but is worth noting since: access to hotel is with taxi or car, even for short trips. Large modern room. Very comfortable bed with average pillows. For me, visiting in June, the outdoor pool was a plus for morning wake-up exercise, since running isn't really possible nearby. Breakfast was typical Italian continental and espresso and cappuccino was average. Dinner in the restaurant was nice; competitive with average restaurants in town, perhaps not as a destination in itself, but definitely a good reason to 'stay in' and relax at the hotel: the chick pea soup was very tasty and the Florentine steak paired well with the nice open and bottled wines on offer. My room was quiet, and cool enough. Colleagues staying with me in rooms on west side were disturbed one night by a large party being hosted at the hotel. Colleagues also chased mosquitoes in their rooms but I did not.

Just stayed over the weekend for one night and that was too much. Nice big room comfy bed and spacious bathroom BUT NO HEAT! I understand it is end of May and it is to be Spring/Summer however it was maybe 40 degrees at night and they could not turn the heat back on for any of us! Very long cold stay. We stayed at two other hotels over the weekend and they all had heat, so Hotel 500 you need to get with the times and be able to provide heat and air at any given time of the year.

Additionally for breakfeast, the coffe they served that was just made was served luke warm at best. Possibly due to how cold the rooms were.

Room Tip: Make sure you call and ask if they have heat/air for the time you travel to make sure you will be co...

Pretty room, large bathroom, nice breakfast... clean.

But hate the stony pathway from the hotel entrance to the lobby & to rooms... the hotel gotta invest on concrete road & path.. really.

Overall, happy stay :)

Spent 10 days on a business trip to a facility outside Florence, client booked us into the 500. It is a conversion made up of the main building and some 'out' buildings. My room in the main building; 110 was excellent, some of the out building rooms were not so good but certainly not bad. The hotel has a bar and restaurant but it lacks atmosphere. On the whole I would say an excellent business hotel if you are in the area but too far to use to visit Florence. Also excellent value at Euro 100/night.

Room Tip: Stay in the main building, first floor overlooking the gardens is best

Set about 20 min from down town Florence with good but slightly complicated motorway access. According to the brochure was an old villa. Beautiful buildings - max 2 story, with beautiful indoor decoration. Friendly reception staff. Very well decorated restaurant - breakfast room, though breakfast buffet was too basic - verging on poor and this is for continental breakfast. Breakfast is only catered by one waitress - inadequate for the number of tables. We had to go find her to ask for coffee. This issue needs improvement. Large open car park, outdoors swimming pool.
