Description: THE RESTAURANT PIU 'ANCIENT MANCIANO We are in Maremma in the province of Grosseto and precisely in the historical center of Manciano but despite this we are within easy reach and we have no parking problems. Our trattoria in the tradition, maintains the characteristic appearance and atmosphere of the old inn: two rooms well-kept, rustic and cozy, the tables are made of wood and summer are put in the open; from the window of one of the rooms you can admire a beautiful landscape and in clear nights you can see, on the horizon, the coast and the sea. Our motto (we sent to those who work with us) is: friendliness and helpfulness but also attention to the customer who should feel at home. Our kitchen is typically Maremma, simple, tasty and attentive to local products

“Our Favorite Restaurant in Manciano!”
Reviewed 4 June 2013

Where to begin? The owner is a lovely woman (who does have English) who welcomes you at the door. This is a charming restaurant where you can really feel at home. The menu is delicious, the service is perfect, our waitress was charming and fun (also has english) and the wines were wonderful. Two of our favorites were the pasta with wild boar bolognese sauce and the roast wild boar with fennel. We also loved the roast baby pig. I know, I know, but it was really delicious and should be tried. You must travel with an open mind. Then there was the dessert!! A wonderful ricotta with chocolate and caramel drizzled on top (or you could have berries). This was such a wonderful place we went back several times and loved it each time. By the time our journey was over we felt we were leaving dear friends.

“Authentic cuisine with style!”
Reviewed 17 February 2013 via mobile

Recommended by our host we visited this place for dinner...twice!

"Da Paolino" feels like a warm bath. A nice and very pleasant atmosphere, wonderful service and awesome food: it offers the very best out of the region, rustic with style! Great wines too! And just take that ricotta with warm chocolate..

Definitely worth a visit...or two!

We ended up here during our journey cross country and we had a delightful meal, with very good food from the traditional Tuscan larder. Minimalistic menu, good cellar, very friendly waitress. A wee find we happened upon by sheer coincidence. Their tortelli are masterful. Steak, starters and cakes memorable. Shame for the racket made by the other diners. The restaurant is not formal and the waitresses seemed not to mind in the least the exchange of personal information taking place between one table and the others at the top of the patrons' lungs. It was like family dining Italian style. Certainly characterful yet annoying after a bit as we were forced unwillingly into jimmying. Toilets are clean and neat. Bill on a par with food and wine. Recommended.
