“cosy and nice”

We really enjoyed our 6-night-stay at Villa Isa. The amazing view of the terrace (the pictures tell the truth), as well as the friendly and helpful owners of the very clean Villa Isa, our nice big room with also a fantastic view have been convincing. Manciano itself is worse staying there also because there are only a few tourists and you can plan daily trips für example to the coast as well as to Mount Amiata, where you also can hike during august.

Room Tip: "Imperial" has a fantastic view

It was supposed to be a pit stop along the drive from Sorrento to Siena. Turn out that this is the most enchanting place on our whole Italian itinerary.

We were very pleasantly surprised by the great hospitality shown by the owners, although we only managed to communicate mostly in 'sign language'. The owners were very friendly and helpful, and we were made to feel very welcome though we stayed for only one night.

The whole place was very clean and very well maintained. The breakfast was homemade by the charming old lady owner. We would have stayed longer if not for the onward hotel booking we had . . .

The nearby town provides ample eating places. We had a great dinner in one of the family run restaurant there, can't remember the name of the place - great pasta, wonderful dessert.

I have stayed at Villa Isa on many occasions since my first visit in October 2000. I enjoy first class private accommodation with spectacular views to the sea and the islands beyond where the sun sets. I do my own shopping and pass two bars on my way to and from the shops. I cook for myself in the kitchen - a separate outhouse down a steep staircase from the main terrace where I eat al fresco either on my own or with friends. I am a paying guest but the accent is on guest. It is a priviledge to be welcome in this home and to be made welcome by the delightful family who look after this beautiful house. [---]

Room Tip: the higher you go the better the view
