Hotel Eden Park did not steel its name: this is the garden of Eden. A true paradise! There are some minor downsides, but they are completely irrelevant since the staff ( hotel and kitchen ) are just wonderful. Amandine, Celine, François,... you are the best. Really. We enjoyed our week stay that much, we will never forget our trip to Corsica. The word 'hotel' is not really correct, in a normal hotel you are treated as a number. In Eden Park you are treated like a king! Waaw. We hope to come back. Thanks to all the staff and the fantastic kitchen. That on a fabulous island like Corsica. Worth every of its 4 stars!!

Room Tip: The suites are nice, not very big, but sufficiant for a family of 4.

This was the first hotel we stayed in when we visited Corsica and we have still good memories of it.
We were there in June and there were only a few guests. There is a WiFi at the hotel but no way to connect to the net: there are only two towers for the region and with the mountains there is no possibility to connect.
We do speak French fluently and have no problems communicating and in two days we knew all the staff and their lives. If you travel in Corsica you will realize that the staff from any hotel or restaurant comes from France. They come for the season and get room and board. So wherever you go, you will be served by young people with decent training which is always refreshing.
Our room was in one of the bungalows. It was very small and hard to reach because of the many high steps and I do not recommend it for people with mobility problems. The bathroom was adequate but the shower was very small and closed with a curtain.
Dinner at the restaurant was excellent. We knew that the fish in Corsica was excellent and we ordered it as often as we could. The first meal was a real success. As for the wine....it is not really excellent but the rose is adequate if served cold. The staff at the restaurant was friendly and kept asking what we thought of the dishes they served us and loved our critics and would agree with us. There are many restaurants in Porto and the staff made us try the ones they loved. We should have stayed at the hotel, it was better.
We were warned to not come back at night from Porto as the road is very dangerous and they would not do it either. The hotel is situated in the Scandola UNESCO World Reserve, the most beautiful part of Corsica but the road to the hotel is very winding and narrow and we were told that it was very difficult to circulate in July and August.
Breakfast at the hotel was very good and again, the morning staff would stay around our table and tell us where to go for the day.
When we left, the suitcases were in the car and we got big hugs.
Although we have been in more fancy hotels for the same price, we left this hotel with a warm feeling.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms close to the main building or in the main building. The bungalows are hard to reach w...

Stay here - this is a lovely, elegant hotel. Of particular note was the friendly and polite staff, which was very nice for Corsica where we found some of the hotel staff not nice at all. The property is beautiful with individual bungalows on terraced hills around the pool and main building area. The rooms were small, but nicely decorated, with good air conditioning and comfortable furnishings. Of particular note was the restaurant, where we had an amazing dinner. The service was great and the food was amazing. If you are in the Porto area, you should definitely stay here.

We have visited this hotel many times in recent years, but after a gap of two years we came back in August 2013.
It seemed to us like it has changed hands since the last visit and had much more of a “corporate/chain” feel to it this time. There was an arrival “briefing” on the terrace with a cocktail which was nice.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and they couldn’t do enough for you but it has become and bit sterile and formal rather than the homely feel of previous stays. The rooms are small as others have mentioned but to my mind this is not the kind of place your come to stay in your room very much, although granted you might expect better of 4 star accommodation. The bathroom in ours had recently been refurbished and was wonderful, the shower worked particularly well. The room was kept spotlessly clean and tidy, in fact all the public areas we visited were the same.
Our room smelt musty on arrival but once aired it was fine so I think it had just been unused for some time. There were also a lot of flies in it which we complained about but within minutes it had been sprayed and all evidence removed. The flies never came back so again I think this was just lack of occupancy.
When we left we had to vacate our room in the morning but were offered somewhere to shower and change before leaving in the late afternoon, which you don’t often get, at least not without paying for it.
The pool didn’t look as inviting as it should have done, whether that was due to lack of maintenance I don’t know, and the Jacuzzi tub had green water in it which looked very unappealing so we didn’t use it this time.
The main thing that warrants staying here is the fabulous restaurant. If anything this has got even better. Something that did catch us out was they insisted on men wearing long trousers. This seemed a bit of a joke really considering a lot of the dinners were wearing jeans and football shirts and yet my tailored shorts and buttoned shirt were considered inappropriate??? After assuring the manger I had not packed any long ones I was allowed to eat there every night without being made to feel uncomfortable and at the end of our stay the manager came to us and apologise for the “misunderstanding”. He couldn’t have been nicer about it. One word of warning, check the price of the wine recommended to accompany your meal. Sounds obvious but I just ordered it every night thinking local wine would be cheap. BIG mistake (but mine not theirs)!!!!!
Breakfast was a magnificent affair, loads of choices and really good quality food.
Corsica is expensive so you don’t get much for your buck here. I feel this hotel warrants its price for the excellent meals and standard of service, despite the small rooms.
I will be back soon without any doubt.

It was our second time in this hotel. It is the best one around Porto. These are little bungalows in a garden. Rooms are very basic but they have little balconies which is brilliant. Breakfasts are superb. We loved them very much. Staff is helpful and polite. Hotel is situated not far from a lovely beach Bussaglia with wonderful waters. The place is also a good base if you like mountain trekking or cold mountain rivers. A couple of kilometers from the hotel there is a lovely town of Ota with Gorges de Spelunca (have a look in Goolge).

Room Tip: rooms 303,304,305, 306 are in a quiet part of the park (attention stairs!)

We are a family of 5 people and spent a week in July 2013 in the Eden Park of Serriera. My first comment will relate to the quality of the service. It was outstanding. Morgane and the rest of the team are just fantastic, always smiling and ready to help. We were very well received on the pool side with a welcome drink. The hotel was presented to us then we were brought to our room.
The room (101) was spacious, very clean, with efficient and silent air-conditioning (there is a silent mode on the remote control which works great). The bathroom was also big and clean.
We had breakfast every day in the hotel: fantastic buffet with quality food and lots of choice. We had twice dinner in the hotel (you need to book) and the food was incredible. the presentation was just marvelous. Again a special thank you to the Chef and the whole team.
Very nice swimming pool plus a massage offering while we were there.
As a summary, my family loved the hotel (as well as this marvelous part of Corsica). From my side, being a heavy worldwide traveler, I tend to be very critical with hotels. The Eden Park, really please me and reconciled me French hotels.
We might consider returning there.

We stayed here for one night in July as we were touring around Corsica following the Tour de France.

The first impressions of the hotel were great as it is in a beautiful location on the edge of National Park. The member of staff who checked us in was extremely welcoming and professional, she offered to have our bags collected from our car and we were seated on the terrace, given a delicious rum cocktail and taken through the check in process, where we are asked about allergies, any special requirements and general personal details such as dates of birth and email addresses etc.

The pool area and terrace is fantastic, clean and spacious with loads of sun loungers and a little separate area with a jacuzzi. Also in the pool area is a little grill where a chef prepares lunch. The staff were very attentive and several times we are asked if we needed anything, drinks or something to eat. I think the staff appreciated the effort we made in speaking French to them, I agree with previous reviewers who mentioned it might perhaps be a good idea to at least try to converse in the language in which you are staying and not expecting everyone to speak English. The staff were nothing but accommodating and professional with us.

We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food and wine were superb. Whilst it is true that everything is expensive, I think people should think about the value of things, rather than the price. We were more than happy to pay for a beautiful meal, in idyllic surroundings, with excellent staff. The chef came out and introduced himself and made sure that we were enjoying our meal, which we thought was a lovely touch.

The following day, when we should have checked out by midday, we were allowed to use the pool and the shower in the room until whenever we wanted. Granted, the hotel was very quiet but it was still a much appreciated gesture, something that they didn't have to do. We lounged by the pool, had a lovely light lunch (again with first class service and attention to detail) and sadly made our way from the hotel at around 4:30pm.

So, all in all, we were very, very impressed with everything. With one exception. The room. The room we were given was tiny by any standards, let alone if we had paid the full price of €350, which was the standard price. We actually booked at the last minute and our room and breakfast rate was €175. Even at this price, we were surprised at how small the room was. The room is done to a lovely spec, everything was clean and modern but there was no space for us to walk around. We wouldn't have been able to spend a week in the room, it was just too small and cramped. A few other issues that would've grated if we'd been staying for longer. There were no power points by the bed or anywhere with the exception of behind the TV, so trying to charge our phones or the battery for our camera was made awkward. I've never stayed anywhere where there are no power points in the room! Also, the TV only had 4 digital channels working and 4 analogue channels (which were plagued by interference and unwatchable ). Again, you don't go away to a place like this to watch TV but if you're paying €350 a night, these little details have to be improved on. The bathroom again was small but nicely done but it did feel very wet and not airy. One last thing, the were no nets on the window, which was right by the walkway, so anyone could look in and see you in your room if you had the curtain open and seeing as it was the only window, we needed to open the window for light.

These may seem like silly things but, as I've said, if they want to charge the amount they do, the need to look after the little things as well as the big things, which they get right without a doubt. I think the best hotels I've stayed in get the little details spot on, which really enhance the overall experience.

So, to conclude. An amazing hotel in a fantastic location with first class facilities and top-notch staff. I recommend you stay here but ring beforehand and get a big room. And to the managers of the hotel, just concentrate a little more on the details and you will have a 4* hotel to match your 4* prices.
