“Honeymoon Heaven”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 October 2012

My husband and I went here for our honeymoon last week (Sept 23rd-30th). Like most couples, I found out about Ti Kaye on Trip Advisor. I was considering Sandals in St. Lucia, but then I happened to see all the incredible reviews for Ti Kaye. The pictures do not do Ti Kaye justice. The property is spectacular. If you are looking to have some quality romantic time as a couple, please please come to Ti Kaye. The ambiance is PERFECT for a couples getaway. The staff is beyond great. They literally waited on us hand and foot and ensured we were comfortable and well taken care of. The housekeeping was impeccable, our room was alway so so so clean. The food was five star. The chef is amazing. I am a vegetarian and they accommodated me every night with something wonderful and fresh. The drinks are so fun and they have so many. Try the Estale and the super strong Rum Punch! We also did the Wine Tasting with Cleus, and it was the best wine experience of both of our lives (we are from California too!) He literally knows everything about wine, and can tell you the year, vineyard, and wine type just from smelling it! and had wonderfully generously sized pours. The wine selection at Ti Kaye is one of the best in the world. In addition, we loved having the plunge pool in our room. Made for a great activity day and night, right in the privacy of our room. We stayed in Lanmou, and this was one of the best rooms and worth the price for us because we stayed on the resort 99% of the time. The outdoor shower was beautiful too. We did not get the all inclusive package because the prices are very reasonable, and we feel like we got our money's worth for sure. Ti Kaye is what I call 5 star rustic-chique. You're in the forest, and the crickets and frogs will sing you to sleep each night, as you see the ocean from your bed. It has that perfect kicked back island vibe without the pretentiousness of a place that has 5 stars. If you come to St. Lucia, stay at Ti Kaye. If you want to avoid the cattle herd, don't stay at Sandals, people were joking and calling it a "Luxurious Prison!" We felt like royalty at Ti Kaye!!

Room Tip: Lanmou. The room with the plunge pool. Sooooo worth the little bit extra money. We were calling it o...

We spent 6 days/5 nights here for our honeymoon and we wish had booked a longer trip. The service we received from every individual employee- from the airport driver to the bartender to the spa workers- was outstanding. The resort is positively beautiful and we could have spent days just relaxing in the rocking chairs and hammock on our private deck looking out at the ocean. Our room felt so private, even though we were just a short walk to the main building and restaurant. I had a small concern before we went that we would get bored with only have 2 options for meals (the main restaurant and then the smaller lunch-only one down at the beach), but the menu was so interesting and changed daily that I didn't mind at all not going to more places. The food was really fantastic. Another highlight of the trip was the wine tasting with Cleus. If you have any interest in wine, this is a must! (We had it included as part of the Ti Kaye package, but it can also be done separately, not as part of a package.) The snorkeling was awesome, and I hear the same thing about the scuba diving, but we don't scuba. In fact, the beach where Ti Kaye is located is so great for scuba/snorkeling that the Sandals resorts boat their guests down to go there, too. The beach is just lovely with plenty of chairs and umbrellas set up (at least for the time of year that we visited). The front desk people will help set up any trips/excursions you want like it's a piece of cake. We honestly didn't want for anything while we were there and really cannot wait to go there again.

Room Tip: The Le Cottage with Pool was totally worth it. Having the plunge pool right there was a great way to...

First there is not enough space to write a complete review of this place. If you want a vacation spot away from everything and the daily aggravation of life in general - then is the place for you. Not only are the cottages comfortable, the outdoor shower makes you feel real close to nature. The food is to die for and being from New Orleans we know food!! Make sure you try the Seafood Chowder! The staff treats you as if you're a guest in their personal homes and no matter your request - they try to meet your every need. Upon your arrival Tanika meets you with a huge smile and Micha handles your luggage. The dining staff Verna, Natalie, Nadine, Gus, Ansulma and Florina make sure your dining experience goes smoothly. Stein, Mangus and Simeon make sure you get to and from your excursions safely. Don't miss the Friday Night Fish Fry in Anse Le Raye. Trust me Stein will make sure you not harrassed and you eat from the right booths!! Last but not least Mary Magdalene made sure our cottage was in tip top shape everyday and always had a big smile to start our day. Even though this is a real remote location you'll enjoy your stay!

My wife stayed in August 2012. We booked late, requested a kind bed but found 2 queens when we arrived. A small detail but my wife really wanted a king bed. No problem, the staff accommodated us the very next day. The property is beautiful, quiet, relaxing, no TV...perfect place to really unplug. EVERY room has a great view of the Caribbean Sea. The spa is wonderful. I highly recommend. The GMs, Chris and Sarah, are great! We will be going back.

If you choose to stay here you won't be disappointed, the cottage accommodation offers great seclusion and stunning views.
Whilst some of the cottages would benefit from an update, the overall experience is great.
As the resort is on the side of a hill, be prepared for steep inclines and stairway to the beach where there is a great beach bar.
The bay is the best for snorkelling in St.Lucia and therefore is frequented by innumerate boats and lively visitors.

Overall highly recommended (plunge pools are with some cottages.. These are a great way to cool off!)

Stayed here Late August. Much to my relief, despite the weather forecast having rain clouds over almost everyday, the rains were only brief rainshowers, and the occasional cloudiness were good relief during the walking excursions.

The second I landed on Ti Kaye, I gave a sigh of relief that my weeks of internet searching for a beautiful restful place (that is clean and has air conditioning!) was not in vain. The place is beautiful, calm, and has awesome snorkeling. During the week there,I saw 2 spotted morey, golden eel, flounders, scorpion fish, a turtle, 2 families of squid (one let out a puff of ink when he saw my husband!), and amazing corals.

Tips:
1) stop by the supermarket on the way to the resort, there is no rooms service if you get the late nite munchies... all the rooms have a refridgerator and hot water boiler.

2) just incase you're running out of room in your luggage, they have a little shop there that has some bare essentials- razors, insect repellant, sunscreen, caps, t shirts, flip flops

3) if you want to sit on the row of tables closest to the beach for dinner, you have let them know during the reservation.

4) tipping is already including in all charges, so no need to "think" when signing that bill... love it!

5) the St Lucians have a drink concoction that they call "the viagra." It's quite fun to try... though alcohol content was so high a wiff if it was enough for me!

Located in the middle of western coast of the island, couple of steep miles off the western highway. Simple wooden colonial style bungalows with outdoor showers - could do with a little bit more cleaning (dirty mosquito net, could do with more cleaning behind the beds. Restaurant service is excellent, however, food creativity could be reconsidered. Keep in mind a lot of food is imported to St Lucia. Resort operates a diving centre - excellent quality instructors, both local and foreigners. Located on one of the best beaches of the island (all beaches are public by law in St Lucia, so they get boats from Castries or other towns brining day tourists for a day...), provides both great snorkelling as well as privacy away from the daily visitors. Hotel staff is super friendly and hotel organises a number of packaged half day/day trips. But if you rented a car and have ideas on your own of what you would like to do, you will be asked to find your own way to arrange. Will make a disclaimer we did not investigate into the reasons why, so making an assumption can be hotel staff genuinely do not know about places guides like Lonely Planet are publishing or have not been to them as well as have not had guests previously enquiring about those. For example, for some standard forest trails published on the forest ministry's website we have been asked to contact the ministry directly, etc. If you are planning to chill by the beach with occasional organised trips - this is your perfect getaway.

Room Tip: stay away from bungalows on the road as can get noisy in the morning and during the day.
