We stayed for a long weekend from the 16th to the 19th of February to celebrate my birthday.
The hut is set on a working farm however in its own gated area looking out over the farmland. The hut has everything you could possibly need and is especially cosy in the winter months with its own wood burner which kept us toasty warm when we returned from our walks around the area. The bed is also extremely comfy and we slept like babies whilst we were there (all the fresh air may have helped too!). Catriona and Alec were wonderful hosts and couldn’t do enough for us. Catriona looked after us from the moment we arrived. What made its extra special for us were all the little extra touches they supplied. We were welcomed to the hut with fresh bread, eggs and jam and butter as well as coffee and tea being available and plenty of other condiments.
The hut also has an oven and hob which meant we were able to cook for ourselves (including fresh farm produce) in the evening as we made the most of having the hut to ourselves. There is also a fire pit available outside which we lit and sat around one evening with a bottle of wine as the sky was so clear.
We were lucky enough to see a newborn calf (only minutes old) on the farm as well as being able to take their lovely dog Evie out for a walk.
We visited the Malverns for a lovely walk as recommended by Catriona followed by a lovely Sunday lunch (with the best sticky toffee pudding ever!) at the Wellington Inn which we would really recommend for food.
All in all we could easily have stayed there for a week or even longer and returned feeling relaxed and refreshed. We will definitely be visiting in the future and recommend to family and friends.
What a fab place , the shepherds hut is set in a very pretty and private part of the farm. The hut has been lovingly built inside and out . All the homely little touches made our 2 night stay a very special one .It was lovely and toasty from the log burner . And the heating kept the comfort ticking over . Catriona , what can I say what a lovely lady couldn’t do enough for us . A lovely worm welcome also from Alec. A beautiful place to visit all year round . We will definitely be going back .
Exceeded our expectations!Relaxing retreat, furnished beautifully. Well equipped- we didn't want for anything.
Tasty farm sausages and fresh eggs from the hens. We completely loved it! Definitely 5️⃣Star!!! Catriona is knowledgeable about the surrounding areas of interest and most friendly and warming.
Only downside..... we had to go home.
But....we shall most definitely return!
Lovely hosts..Alec & Catriona really made us feel at home.
The hut was exceptional...stunning, high standard of finish we loved it.

A wonderful last minute weekend away in this lovely Shepherds Hut. The host Catriona is extremely welcoming and does everything she can to make your stay perfect. Despite being January it was cozy and warm in the Shepherds Hut with the log burner. A real all year round glamping experience. I will return again.
We had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Shepherds hut over New Years, 31st December 2017 to 3rd January 2018.
It was very clean, had all the essentials you could need, including bread, butter, milk, eggs. Sausages from the farm were very nice. It was so nice to have the facilities to cook in the shepherds hut, and have bathroom facilities within the hut. Hut was always cosy and nice and warm, and there was plenty of wood provided for the wood burner.
Catriona and Alec were great hosts, always happy to help and replenish anything we had ran out of.
As part of the New Years package, Catriona made us a lovely home made meal, it was delicious. We were also provided with a bottle of champagne and lifts to and from a local pub of our choice.
Hut was in a great location; nice and peaceful and close enough to visit nearby places of interest such as Ledbury, Evesham, the Malvern Hills and the Cotswolds.
We would definitely like to return for another stay. We stayed for 3 nights, but it is somewhere we could stay for a week. Even when the weather wasn't brilliant we were quite happy just to relax inside the hut, it is that well done.
We left with great memories of our stay, as we also got engaged here!
This place is truly magical! Situated on a gorgeous plot - which is so tranquil and peaceful, surrounded by beautiful fields and countryside with views for miles - the hut is just perfection.
It has everything you need in the kitchen - fresh eggs, local butter (even local gin!) and the best ever sausages - quality linen bedding, the comfiest mattress, super-fluffy towels and the cutest little wood-burning stove that makes the hut so warm and cosy, you won't want to go out.
The comfort and appeal of this place is hard to describe - we think this will be a regular escape for us and can't wait to book again.
Thank you to Catriona who is a wonderful host and obviously really cares about giving you a wonderful experience. Collecting eggs from the hens with her was a particular highlight!
