Siete Balcones y un patio
Reviewed 23 July 2013

This is such a magical place to stay: beautiful 20th century modern style, yet still retaining the character of this delightful Andalucian property. Bryony and Wanda have created something very special here: the house feels completely calm and comfortable and everything has been well considered to ensure you have a wonderful stay. The breakfasts are delicious – everything is of really good quality and you can have it wherever you please: in your room, on the roof terrace, in the courtyard until 12midday. The lovely Maria Jose is also on hand to cook some eggs, top up the coffee pot etc. She also keeps the rooms spotlessly clean.
Bryony and Wanda were really lovely hosts and gave us lots of tips on where best to eat etc. They are completely warm and friendly but without being intrusive and are as relaxed as the house!
This is our third time visiting Vejer and this is by far the nicest place we've stayed in. In fact this is the most perfect place we've ever stayed in and we'll definitely return.

This lovely hotel run by Bryony & Wanda is an absolute delight. From the moment we stepped inside we loved it! The downstairs courtyard is very pretty and you can have breakfast there if you wish although we opted for the roof terrace. The hotel has just four rooms and although I can only write about ours I'm sure they are equally well designed. Our room was spacious with a mixture of contemporary and retro style pieces with a very comfortable large double bed. We particularly liked the shower which was a wonderful walk-in experience and all those luxurious white towels which were replaced each day. I have a thing about tiny wardrobes with hangers that remain firmly fixed to the rail. At Siete Balcones the hanging space for the clothes is an open structure and very practical and contemporary, however I've left the best until last. At the hotel you help yourself to breakfast and what a fantastic assortement of food is on offer! Home made bread, muffins, hams, cheeses, fruit, home made yougurt, I could go on. It was so hard to chooose from all the goodies on offer! Of all the hotels in which we stayed in Andalucia this delightful and intimate hotel was our favourite. A warm welcome, a superb room together with a peaceful atmosphere made this hotel the perfect choice for us. We cannot recommend it highly enough.

It's not often that you find a place with the perfect confluence of (1) a reflection of your personal taste, (2) a stunning location and (3) detailed yet relaxed hospitality. But Siete Balcones, Vejer and the owners are exactly all that!

The location is in an ideal part of Vejer, 2 min from the main square and in the beautiful old town, yet tucked quietly away. Bryony was lovely and felt like an old friend and we loved their cats, especially naughty Marvin! The terrace is classic Andalucia and done very well and our room (the smallest and cheapest) was stylish, understated and comfortable. The entire property is stunning and has been restored sensitively.

Vejer is magical, can easily spend a month there every year. Thank you for our time there and we can't wait to come back. (Please pat Marvin!)

Room Tip: It's a quiet street, our room was upstairs facing the street and we were never disturbed.

This guest house is just perfect. Located in the beautiful village Vejer de la Frontera this guest house it just what we wanted. We stayed in room number 4. This is the smallest room, but we experienced it being just fine for us two. The room was very cosy and had beautiful elements such as ceramic floor tiles, the shower made of green stone, the balcony and the original wooden doors. The high ceiling gives the room a spacious feeling. Besides this the room had a good bed and was always very clean.

The shared areas of the place are very atmospheric and contain subtle decoration, which fits perfectly with the old characteristics of the building. The roof terrace, with its panoramic view is just amazing. It is a very good place to have breakfast or just to relax. In general the whole bed and breakfast is a fantastic place.

The kitchenette is well provided and the breakfasts (and homemade muffins) are very fresh and tasteful (and always a nice surprise).

The hosts are very friendly and helpful and provide you with tailored advice about the area (place to eat or to go to), without being officious at all.

The village Vejer de Frontera is a great starting point for a variety of day trips.

Any negative points? hmm that we had to leave the place at the end of our holiday ;) .

We found every aspect of our stay here faultless from start to finish. The apartment itself had a perfect balance of cosy and cool with stylish furniture and lovely spacious bathroom. Breakfast being waiting in the fridge in advance was a nice touch and we found everyone connected with the place extremely friendly and helpful. Loved Vejer so much and this place made the stay even better. Highly recommend.

Many thanks

Tom

What a lovely place to stay. The rooms are spacious and delightful. The roof terrace is soooo relaxing when you've been out all day. The breakfast trays are just right, and the host is very helpful (despite ours being a stand-in).
