We have had 3 meals from this wonderful place in the last 2 weeks of our stay in Tuscany. It has been wonderful each time. The food is fresh and carefully prepared. The staff are friendly and have recognized us for our multiple visits. This charming restaurant is a pleasure to dine in.

“A Pretty Fancy "Local"”
Reviewed 7 October 2013

Dinner for ten is not usually an intimate experience. And four of us are ten years old and less. The Borgo il Poggiaccio is an upscale hotel in a valley. Down the hill from our upscale villa. Dinner is at 8:30…my normal bedtime! On the other hand, the kids can’t wait to capture the flying bugs and incinerate them in the candles on the table…keeps me awake. The terrace is full. The menu is in Italian, English, French and German. Not a good sign. I go for rabbit which turns off the kids. Braised in a light sauce, and served with roast potatoes, it’s pretty good, if a little bony. I also share potato ravioli and a very large T-bone steak with some of the rest of the adults. The wine is expensive. We all have a very nice time.

“Just average - disappointing !”
Reviewed 30 July 2013

We visted the restaurant and in brief we were disappointed because we expected a little more. The wines we would like to drink were not avaliable (neither the first nor the second choice)

“Good village food”
Reviewed 11 July 2013

Traditional Tuscan fare from a friendly family run business. Varied range of starters, including anchovies with parsley, and the crustini is enough for two. Followed by lemon chicken and veal with wild mushrooms, both very good accompanied by some excellant baked vegetables, the roasted potatoes with garlic and rosemary must not be missed. Good selection of home made deserts. Excellent value at €55 including wine. A piece of advice leave your car at the bottom of the hill.......3 point turns are not possible !

“Worth a visit!”
Reviewed 26 June 2013

We stayed in the Hapimag resort in Pentolina and drove by a couple of times. We thought it looked good and made a reservation. When we told them we called from Hapimag they said we would have a discount of 10% which was a nice extra. The place looks beautifull and the food was very good, as well as the service. You can drink something outside on the terrace before you have diner.
