-Standard comfort (little cottages) // NO internet connexion
-If you plan to go there with your family, be careful,..lots of robbers, and a feeling of insecurity. Lots of music till late from neighboors who came here to party.
- If you don't pay to choose your location, you have to walk about 2km to go to the pool or the center...(!)
Really disappointed by these holidays. First & last stay at this place!

After readying mixed reviews we were a little aprehensive about our holiday at Les Bois Center Parcs. We travelled with two children (13 Months & 7 years). We were part of a bigger family froup of 15 children ranged in age from 9 months to 9 years.

The park was brilliant for a family holiday. The water park was fantastic for all age ranges. The children would have stayed there all day if hunger hadn't got the better of them! The water was warm and the baby bit was lovely. Several slides to keep the older ones entertained. Cafe in pool area although we chose to go back to our lodge for lunch.

For those of you worrying about the cost of extra activities to keep your little ones entertained, don't worry! Between the water park and the adventure play parks you needn't spend anything else. There is also a small animal park which the younger ones in the group liked. Enough to spend an hour or so there.

With our booking we got free passes which were fantastic. A family bowling trip would have cost 30 euros but we redeemmed 2 of our 4 vouchers for that. The other two were used to play squash twice. We did the pony trek (just a saunter on shetland ponies around the park paths for half an hour). My daughter, nephew and niece did this and enjoyed it. Bigger horses and more challenging rides were available near the park entrance.

Accomodation is basic but clean and all you need. Cot and high chair are included in every lodge at no extra cost.

The supermarket on site is good and as expected dearer than usual but not ridiculous. We took a lot of our own food just buying fresh items from here and it worked fine.

Ice creams and fruit smoothies available in centre which were good.

Be warned there is NO WASHER or LAUNDERETTE!! Take plenty of clothes or hand wash stuff.

We ate out once in the main plaza and it was reasonable and the food was nice enough.

Don't upgrade to the Premium lodge. We had the Comfort and my sister paid the extra 100 euros for a Premium, The only difference was her beds were made up, garden furniture was better quality and a TV in the main bedroom. So unless those things are important to you save the euros!!

Ask for lodges in the 316 region as they were perfect position for everything. Some lodges were miles away from main activities,

Good points
Great family fun
Fantastic water park and play parks
Felt safe
Massage bath even in comfort lodges

Bad Points
Hardly any English speaking staff
Gardens could do with a good strim!
Some lodges miles from main pool area

We did the DIeppe-Newhaven crossing both ways and the park is only 2 hours from DIeppe so would recommend this crossing with small children.

We had a fab holiday and would recommend it.

Room Tip: Pick any lodges in the 316 region. Some miles from main activities and noisy from cars.

bike hire not great. not enough choice of restaurants that were open when we wanted to use them. but still nice. pool area needs a bit of a refurb but still prbabaly the best thing about the park. the bungalows are ok but dated even though they are refurbed. no proper oven only a microwave to cook in is a pain, which is probabaly to enoucarge eating out more.

We have visited CP in Belgium but this was our first trip to France. We had a VIP villa (746), which was very well equipped, with sauna, 1 double bed (upstairs) and 2 single rooms downstairs. Parking was about 1 minute away, so we didn't have to keep walking miles to get to the car, but this was only as we were in areas 6-9, which had its own parking facilities. Kitchen was small but adequate with full sized dishwasher/fridge with freezer box. Pool was exactly the same as CP UK, so kids had a blast and were in there most days. We do speak a little French so were able to get by, as most staff only spoke French (you are in France!) so be prepared. On site supermarket, was ok, about the same as UK prices, but there was a larger supermarket about 5 miles away, if you wanted to journey out. We used Tesco vouchers and went to Disneyland Paris, about 3 hour journey each way, so it is manageable if you are up for it! On site horse riding, which our daughter loved 26 euro for an hours riding, so comparable to UK rates. We didn't pay for paintballing as part of our free toppings (you get 3 activities free, from a selected list, as part of the booking), kids also tried Segway and paintballing, which they loved. I would recommend CP France, if you have a basic grasp of French and want to soak up some European culture, there were a few English people there but majority were French. Much cheaper than an equivalent week in the UK, standard wise not as up to scratch as UK, pool area was a little unkempt vs. UK and our villa was perfectly acceptable, but we did have the VIP one, which was probably about the same standard as a comfort plus in the UK. Travel time from Calais was about 4 hours (allowing for a break).

Room Tip: Villas 6-9 have their own parking area, otherwise you have to park quite a way away from the lodges...

Please save yourselves the money and go elsewhere; everything overpriced, no washing machine or on site laundrette, dirty, mouldy, ant infested chalets that desperately need refurbishing. Service is poor or shut we were constantly given incorrect information on location of activities either that or spent most of our time queuing for a 20minute activity. The only good bit was the FREE pool which was probably why it was heaving everyday of the week!!!

This particular Parcs lets down the reputation. Quite a few children activities were not opened and when they were things were broken, ill supervised and not maintained. After 8 visits to different Center Parcs, we felt this one should be pulled down and rebuilt! The staff do not care. The equipment is old and broken
