My wife and I recently stayed at this hotel and had a wonderful holiday. The hotel interior is very impressive and very clean. Our room was a good size with 2 queen size beds and plenty of storage space. One negative was the very small balcony, only suitable for 1 person. The maid service was excellent. The hotel gardens are extremely beautiful and well laid out leading to the pebble beach. There is one large main pool and 1 small adult only quiet pool but plenty of sunbeds scattered throughout the grounds etc. We found the staff on the whole to be generally friendly and some really excellent. Food and drinks were very good although you had to ask to get international brands. One annoying point was the beer is served in half-pint glasses, very frustrating. The a la carte restuarants are very good but serve excessive amounts of food which goes to waste. The only downside for us was the entertainment which was ok at best. Not enough effort put in by the hotel management. Overall an excellent hotel.

In the main this was an excellent resort that was recommended to us by a friend who has stayed there more than once.
Cleanliness was obviously a high priority & all public areas, beach areas & our room were kept very tidy. Massive selection of beachside sunbeds & sunshades, so no problem finding a couple at any time during our stay.
The staff, in general, were very efficient & mostly friendly though a lack of English was occasionally a small problem.
A huge selection of food was always available in the main buffet restaurant during breakfast, lunch & dinner. For hot dishes it is worth waiting until a fresh batch is placed in the serving dishes as they tend to go cold quite quickly. Also, in the main restaurant, it is better to select your table first & protect it before going to get your food. I would stay at the table & order our drinks whilst my wife went for her food. We saw lots of guests wandering around with plates full of food trying to find a vacant table.
The "Paloma Hotels 2011" brochure eludes to staff bringing round refreshments to your sunbed; well, we were only offered fresh fruits on three of our days at the beach. There was no offer of cocktails, lemonade, popsicles etc.
There are several other restaurants available with differing themes, (eg: Asian, Continental, Mexican, seafood, etc), some are free whilst others require payment. The downside is you must try & book the day before between 10am & 3pm. I say "try" since even at 10:10 I could not get a booking for the seafood restaurant & turned to the customer relations lady who was able to accommodate us. I should add that what appears to be plain grilled fish on the menu in the Sunset restaurant, (trout or seabass), it comes covered with a creamy sauce...this is not described on the menu & was not to our tastes. Also a very limited seafood selection available there, basically the same as you'll find in the main buffet retaurant on most days.
All-in-all, a decent all-inclusive resort & we were not disappointed with our choice.

Great restaurants, amazing entertainment at night, kids enjoyed the slides in the pool, free kayaking, brilliant random Coca Cola fun day near beach, great tennis courts (worth bringing your own rackets & balls, or you can hire them for 6€) great tennis coach called Frank. Spacious clean gardenroom bedrooms with private relaxing pools. Definitely recommend this hotel. Nothing much to do near hotel apart from rows of shops.

We met family from on other country here for 3 days before going to Kas. It is a great all inclusive hotel. Two pools, bars, places to eat. It was very hot and humid when we went mid July. It would be great in May. Wonderful for kids. Mine are 9 and 11. They thought it was cool to go to the bar to get a drink (coke or juice). In the pool area someone came around about 11:30 or 12 with fresh cold fruit. Nice treat mid morning. On Friday night they had Turkish food and someone making their special bread we call Lavash. (Not sure what it is called in Turkish?) All kinds of Turish food on the buffet. Nice that you could just take a little and then go back for more of what you really liked. The ice cream is to die for. Very creamy carmel is my favoite. They had shows every night around 9:45pm. The beach was nice and the water warm. Not too rough. Very clear and clean. Sitting out at the sunset bar was fun. You have to make reservation the day before to eat there in the evening. We didn't realize that so didn't do it but I'm sure it would be great. Lots of fun, clean, mostly friendly, many speaking English.

We have been to many resorts (Hawaii, Cuba, Greece, and Spain) and the Renaissance would have much to learn from all of them...
PROS:
- Marjorie who greated us and is fluent in French and English was very helpful
- Excellent evening entertainments particularly the daily shows done by true professionals
- Fitness staff is great a and great variety of workout programs available
- Lots of lawn chairs so you don't have to get up early in order to find one
- Waterfront decks are awesome for those who prefer to jump into the ocean vs using the beach. Excellent usage of access to the water (both from beach or docks).
- Waiters are very efficient; quick to bring you drinks and pick up dirty dishes
- Great slides at the pool.
CONS:
- Villas definitely need to be renovated. Bathroom tiles were mouldy and lots of dents on floor tiles. Couch in living room had a big stain on it and was not inviting from a cleanliness perspective (we expressed our dissatisfaction and were switched to the Presidential suite in the main building - my husband uses a lot of Marriott hotels and this one is affiliated to Marriott resorts).
- Our first day in the Presidential suite we had no hot water during peak shower time (it only happened that day but was fine after that) and the AC did not work on our first night and my daughter and I had our worst night in a hotel ever (this was fixed the next day).
- Unusual charging system: apparently you pay for room service in the Presidential Suite but not in a Villa, although it is an all-inclusive resort you pay for reservations at many on-site restaurants (and even pay full charge on the romantic dinner so make sure you read the fine print on the fees handout), only one water sport is free which is the canoeing. Now I understand why so many Europeans go to Cuba where an all-inclusive has no such charges and you get unlimited catamaran rides included too!
- To reserve a restaurant you need to do so between 9 and 12 the day before you plan to eat there. So if you check-in in the afternoon, you first available time to eat at one of those restaurants is 2 days later. No such thing in other all-inclusives we stayed at.
- If you want the maid to change the glasses you use in your room, put them on the floor near the door otherwise this will not be done. They also don't systematically provide you with new bath gel bottles after you used one.
- They provide lots of bottles of alcoholic beverages in the room but no cork-screw. You need to call front desk and they will send you someone to open your bottle.
- The staff has very limited knowledge of English with the exception of Marjorie, front desk staff, and fitness staff.

Room Tip: Don't stay in a villa.

Having booked this holiday after many months of choosing we finally picked this one. just for the pictures alone which i NEVER NORMAL DO. We arrived to find rain and thunder storms and then introduced to a mini bus driver that could not speak English and drove very fast, we were told that if it was an emergency then shout STOP this was his only English word but this was good as we arrived to the hotel in good time.

When we were checking in there were a number of guests also there and the wait was a little long, but on getting to the room it was well worth the wait!! the photo is just how the standard room is they are massive, we had a view over the mountains at the back of the hotel. there were two huge single beds two small but very comfy chairs a large TV and d a mini bar that was well stocked.

We went to the welcome meeting the next morning and the Thomas Cook rep Stephanie was excellent. she told us off all the trips to the local resorts and how best to get there, even when we said that we were not going to be leaving the hotel she was still very polite and happy. she asked how our room was and we said of course it was amazing but we had made the request for a double bed but got twin but we were happy. She left us for a moment and come back from talking to the hotel manager and they had one room left that had a double bed in and if we wanted we could swap, which was excellent!!

We packed and arrived in our new room to find that it was a suite (and having been wowed by the standard room this was excellent) a handy tip if booking this hotel the standard rooms is beautiful however if there is one small treat then upgrade before arrival to the suite it is well worth the Hugh bed you can roll over 6times in!!! Plus a well stocked mini bar that is re filled every day and this is included. the only thing you don't get is milk for tea and coffee but the bar will give you a small glass to take up.

The food at the hotel is some of the best I have tasted for a long time, it is one of the only places where when we were eating one meal we were wondering what the next one would be! ( and we are the worlds most fussy eaters!) the lemon ice cream is lovely and could have eaten a whole tub! and the fresh soup was to die for!!! We went to the patisserie every night on the way to getting ready for tea LOL. we did not use the a la carte as the food was also available in the normal restaurant, but there is plenty if you fancy a change in scenery.

Drink wise almost everything is included, (except the things in the middle of the bar) we only found out that the cocktails were included two days before we left as there are in the menu but have prices next to them, my tip try them ALL but mind the ice tea it WILL blow your head off we managed about a cm from the top and could see double.

Did not use the kids stuff but from what I could see there was plenty to do and there we well entertained. and had a play ground that as a parent looked safe and clean!

Entertainment we went out off season so there was not a lot going on but we managed to entertain ourselves. during the day for the active person there was tennis, aerobics and jogging plus others but we just spent the day by the adult pool ( TOP TIP go and collect towels and put them there before breakfast with a book or you will not get beds and this is strictly NO KIDS very relaxing!

overall this hotel is both well worth the money and also the wait if booked a year in advance!!!!!! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED

Room Tip: Pre book the suite well worth the money
