The most amazing part of the resort is its view from Pool towards lake. We select the lake view room and it was totally upto the expectations. You have a great view of Asia's second largest lake in front of you. We strongly recommend for the said resort. Nice place to stay from the busy life of city.

Room Tip: Pick lake view rooms. These give best view.

I have visited Abad in Sept with my wife for our honeymoon. We stayed in the bamboo villa with pool. The cottage was maintained well, spacious and felt romantic. Loved the front garden area and the private swimming pool. But we couldn't use the private swimming pool at night because a frog was in the water (sigh!). The open bathroom plan was awesome. The food in the restaurant was amazing and we loved the general features in the resort.

One issue we faced during our stay was most of the nearby cottages was not booked and we felt very secluded and alone.

Visited with family, bamboo pool villa was looking a bit odd at first, but it had the best experience kept just for us, nice location, nicely made cottage, with bamboo fences and roof, clearly an innovation to provide things in such a way, open air bathroom was super cool, private pool had full privacy, but they should be a bit more careful about cleanliness and the Mosquitos, superb non veg food,

Abad whispering palms is located on the bank of Vembanad Lake. The experience of staying in a cottage next to the lake was a little different. I have enjoyed staying on the beach and on the hills but never had an experience next to the lake. This experience was nice and we stayed there for 2 night/3 days. There are 4 types of rooms offered at this resort which are lagoon facing, bamboo pool villa, lake facing and garden facing.
The welcome at the resort was warm and registration process was smooth. The reception area is open and airy. One can see lagoon facing rooms from the reception and lake on the other side overlooking the pool. The pool is well maintained and clean. It operates from 7am – 7pm. There are a lot of palm trees, plants, flower beds and well and beautifully maintained gardens in the entire resort.
We wanted to experience the pleasure of staying in a cottage next to the lake and the experience was excellent. These cottages are nice and spacious and well set up with central AC and temperature control system. There is a mini refrigerator as well provided in the cottage. Bathrooms are spacious with bathtub and other facilities. There is an extended space in the bathroom which can be called as open air bathroom. If lucky, rains can be enjoyed at its best. The open air bathroom has a very different feel, unlike what is normally experienced in enclosed ones.
The furnishing is old and needs maintenance. Same applies to few things in the bathrooms as well, specially the shower. It would have been amazing if they would have placed shower in the open air area.
The room has another opening which opens towards the lake overlooking the garden. There are benches placed close to the fence where one can sit and enjoy the view of the lake and fresh air. To rest and relax, hammocks are placed between tress that can be enjoyed during the stay.
Food is tasty and they have good options of Indian, Chinese and South Indian preparations in breakfast and dinner. During scanty staffing, there has a menu from which required quantity can be ordered.
House boat and ferry cruse is available as facilities and can be availed at a price offered by the resort. The same can be booked as per convenience. The experience of house boat stay is different as normally they are stationed. The house boat can be best enjoyed while it cruises in Vembanad Lake (Asia’s largest lake).

Room Tip: Choose from the rooms lake facing. Enjoy the evening at its best sitting next to the lake. These rooms are close to restaurant, reception, pool and lake. Bamboo cottage and a feel of its own. little raw, little elite, and little natural. a mix of all but at a cost. check the room availability ar the resort before booking.

Visited Whispering Palms by June end and stayed for a day. Though it was non season, the hosts were courteous enough to take a booking in minimal time to offer a good service till we stayed.
We stayed in bamboo villa with private pool. This was one of the best stay I had in the recent past. Safety was assured in the villa though it felt lonely. The pool villa is ideal for intimacy lovers and honeymooners but the ultimate backwater experience is from the lakewiew cottages. Food menu is limited but the preparation is good and authentic. I loved the swimming pool more than our private pool. No liquor is served, but an evening without liquor is compensated by the musicians offering light music. Overall a pleasant experience.
