“Excellent Service at this Resort”
Reviewed 17 June 2013

The staff at this resort was very nice and very friendly, Christi at the check-in, Mariah at the restaurant, Kevin at the waterfront, everyone is wonderful and amazing! In the evening of Jun 1st, I asked for the direction to the indoor swimming pool, a very nice lady at the front desk went outside and showed me the direction; unfortunately I forgot to ask her name. Another nice lady at the check-out asked me if I would come back, for sure I will, not even mention others but just for one good reason - the excellent service at this resort, thanks everyone!

The food was excellent for dinner and buffet breakfast. Viewing the lake from the restaurant was wonderful.

We could see the lake from our window/balcony, nice view. Not enough time to try everything activity, we will be back and try...

Hi Ilovetravel18,

I am so glad that you enjoyed the staff at the resort. Thank you for mentioning their names in your review - it means a lot to them!

When you live and work at a resort you sometimes forget to look out the window and see what is around you. Your comments about the beautiful view of the lake from the dining room and your room balcony reminds me to take time to "enjoy the view".

Thanks for taking the time to post your review. Come back and visit - stay longer next time!

All the best and enjoy your summer,

Dianne.

Went there with family for a couple of nights. Beautiful resort, tucked in a nice corner on sparrow lake. Old, but well-maintained property with good amenities, clean indoor and outdoor pools, well-kept lawns. Good amenities like free kayaks. canoes and bikes. Had dinner on Sunday evening, but found the menu very limited - just 2 chicken items and 1 beef item on menu. There were some starters and good desert options. However, the menus could use more items...simple ones like sandwiches which the kitchen can easily put together. Overall a great place to go.

Hello Andy c,

Thank you for visiting our resort with your family this past June 2013.

Our resort is definitely old - we have been here since 1898! I am pleased that you found our facilities clean and well-maintained.

I hope you enjoyed the kayaks, canoes and bikes while you were here. We just added paddle boards this summer - they seem to be a "hit" with the guests.

Have a great summer and please come and visit us again.

Best regards,

Dianne.

While this property is showing some age, the rooms are very clean, and the beds are comfortable. I had a nice lakeview room with a nice balcony. I was here on a conference, and the conference facilities were okay but the chairs were very uncomfortable. The service here was great and the food was excellent! Very nice choices on the menu. I would like to take my kids here sometime!

Room Tip: ask for the suite rooms

Hi mjhoc,

Thank you for taking the time to comment on your recent conference trip to our resort.

We are happy that you enjoyed the food, service and resort cleanliness. I have passed along your comment about the conference chairs to my management team for discussion.

We have lots of programs, entertainment and activities for children (and adults), especially during summer and school breaks year round. We would love to host you and your kids at the resort when you don't have meetings to attend.

Have a great summer,

Dianne.

The staff were amazingly friendly - I received excellent customer service on the phone, at the front desk, at the restaurant, and even at the waterfront office run by two young gents who were helpful, knowledgeable, polite and friendly. Everyone is easy-going, yet helpful. Went as a couple for our anniversary and stayed in an upgraded room with separate bedroom and sitting area with fireplace. Almost everything was included and there were so many different things to do, whether it be organized classes or recreational freedom. Our bed was heavenly, the suite was clean and updated (no musty smell whatsoever), had a fridge and our building sat close to the water with all balconies facing the lake. Much to explore and so many recreational options (i.e. 3 different swimming choices - indoor/outdoor/beach, bikes, canoes/kayaks, gym, ping pong, squash courts, tennis, etc.)... even nightly entertainment! Buildings are well-kept and spread out enough for breathing room, yet close enough to feel part of a "community". Super safe for the kids to run wild. Don't forget to rent a boat to go for fish and chips on the other side of the small, safe lake. Boyfriend caught his biggest fish yet!

Clean and relaxing accomodation on a picturesque lake in the Muskokas surrounded by woodlands. The dining facility is spacious overlooking the water and rivaling the view of the lake as you dine, is the quality of the food, however be prepared for high end menu pricing. The staff go all out to make your stay rewarding and their hospitality and friendliness is over the top. If you are a light sleeper you may want to consider the closeness of train tracks,....we enjoyed the sound.of passing trains. Location is within easy travel of highway quick journey to nearby towns. Old televisions in rooms with basic satellite. All in all this resort at the southern tip of Muskokas is easy to recommend.

Room Tip: Basic rooms provide lots of room all with good view of lake.

Hi all,

Overall the place is nice and they are trying to do their best to have different programs for guests.
Rooms are nice and clean. Wireless internet included, a bit slow in evening.
It was amazing to seat at the lake and fish but it's just for fun, you will not catch anything :)
Some bugs here and there outside, will be hard to have the family dinner out.
Also, if you are planning to watch some TV there are about 10 chanells alltogether, 1 for kids.
Water is yellow, so don't be surprised to see your bath tub full of yellow water :) have some drinking water with you otherwise your coffee in the room will taste yuk!

Heat/AC a bit noisy at night but if you are used to it it won't be a problem.

Hope it helps!

Room Tip: If you are with the kids you need to choose the west side, it has two sides, one goes to the playgro...

Hello Anna H,

Thank you for taking the time to review your May visit at our resort.

I see you met some of our local spring residents - bugs... They definitely are part of the whole "Muskoka experience"! I hope that the fish in the lake make an appearance if you visit us again.

We are glad that you had a quality family getaway to our lakeside resort and hope that you will return soon.

Best regards,

Dianne.

Stayed at Bayview Wildwood for our scrapbooking retreat this past weekend, We were there for three nights. We have been coming to Bayview for several years with our group which has grown from a group of 8 to a group of 45! We come twice a year in the fall and in the Spring and this year nothing short of awesome. The food is FANTASTIC...I wish it has zero cal, cuz I letterally could eat it all! The people are amazing, the scrapbooking room, (Cedar Room) has great views of the lake...ahhhh so inspiring for creativity! Our attendees seem to always have such a great time! Based on our comments from our group they love it as much as we do!!!
We work really hard to make it a great memorable and fun weekend for our group. Bayview's wonderful smiling Staff and the nice clean and well maintained Accommodations are always so great to help that all happen! We stay in a cozy cabin on the water that has seriously one of the best views of a Ontario lake I have ever seen, its my favourite and we always pick that cabin when we go! Not that we spend much time in it seeing how we scrapbook till 3am! eek!!!We cannot wait to return again in the fall! Great place for girl groups but I would soooo bring my family there too, lots for the kids to do and enjoy!!!
