Do not know why we were not offered a lake front room. There were not many people there at the time of our stay. This would have given us some sound insulation from the tracks. Would certainly tell anyone about the tracks and the noise of late night and early morning trains. A nice location with plenty to keep one occupied.

Our family has been going to Bayview for 10+ summers.
Adults - love to catch up with friends that come back the same week year and year.
We play bocce ball, golf, kayak, water aroebics, and shuffleboard. The entertainment
has gotten a little lame, but we find our own fun.
Teens - hang out with each other and some of the staff. They also join in with the
adults for some of the tournaments like bocce, volleyball and horseshoes.
Kids- love to go to their own groups.
So it is fun for the whole family, and you do not have to cook or clean.

If you want a geat weekend with staff courtesy and food fit for a palace, come to
Bayfview Wildwood. We had seven couples, all with British Cars, and used the Resort
as home base while we toured the area.
The Resort provided us with a furnished meeting room for our group and we had the
pleasure of enjoying two breakfast buffets and an evening meal that would rival any gourmet restaurant. We will be back.

My family has been staying on Sparrow Lake for the past 40 years. We did stay at another resort on the lake, however it went to full time housekeeping cottages only, so we decided to give Bayview a try. This was our 4th summer here and we are completely thrilled with the resort. The accomodations are fine--we have stayed in 3 different types of rooms/cottages. All have been clean and comfortable. And you really don't spend alot of time in your room--there is too much to do. Yes, the train is nearby, but we ran our air conditioner all the time and didn't really hear a thing. Not even at night. The staff is amazing--Christi is beyond helpful at the front desk, along with Stuart and I believe her name was Susan. Rob the lifeguard was a blast--great with the kids and with the adults, too! He went out of his way to get to know the kids, gave them special treats for winning pool games. Food is incredible. We really love the buffet breakfast and lunch. And dinner is wonderful--lots of good choices and things we wouldn't prepare at home. Melissa and Kourtney were excellent wait-staff--they did an awesome job with all our requests. Lots of entertainment and activities which you can go to if you choose, or you can sit by the lake and read. This lake is beyond beautiful so be sure to bring a boat. Overall, we highly recommend Bayview for families or couples. We hope to keep coming back here every summer for the next 40 years!

We have been coming here for about 6 years with my husband's family. There are 16 of us altogether. Each year we look around for alternatives, but we keep coming back. At this pricepoint, I think that Bayview Wildwood is a top choice. Love the kids' programs and the chance for some adult time as well as time with our kids/nieces/nephew. The kids love the shows, the beach, the new water trampoline, waterskiing/tubing and the many other activities. We will probably look at a few other options again this year - we are a bit tired of the trains passing by and waiting for room renovations/new beds - but I would not be surprised if we ended up back here in 2010. And our kids would be very happy to come back again.

just stayed five nights at this place. it was recommended by a friend. Room was centrally located to restaurant, beach etc. Room was air conditioned, had balcony, little fridge to put my wine in. I had two kids under 12 that loved the beach, and especially the floating trampoline that they just installed! (Max of 6 people and make sure you have a ife jacket if you're not an adult.) They have a pool which we hardly used as my daughter's skin reacts quite badly to chlorine. Would've been nice to actually get a sun lounger but they were always taken!!! Always found a seat on the beach thou... but they are muskoka chairs not loungers... but hey... still good! You can water ski at a cost, or tube which was expensive in comparison to skiing (insurance put cost up apparently). Kids got a free banana ride at the kids camp which they loved! The lake is really nice... not too many boaters or noise. The meals are FANTASTIC! Well.. at least the meals at dinner time! My daughter and i said we were going to grab the chef and bring him home with us! Entertainment all the way if you want or you can choose to sit in a seat and read your book on the dock! Kids shows were very good! My son loved the animal show. He got to put a python around his neck!! Sadly, i missed this as i was at the "adult" dinner! while the children were entertained. Only thing i would say is that the rooms are a little tired and need some TLC... but staff tell me that is a project underway... but im sure the cost will then go up... All in all one great time! Oh.. the staff in the restaurant... Courtney and Emma... really nice! ANd.. if you want a bottle of wine for the week instead of single glasses... thats ok too! just ask!

Bayview Wildwood Resort

Bayview Wildwood Resort in Canada is the best place in the ‎world. No other place can beat it. It has just about everything you ‎want. Great food, bike/canoe/kayak rental, great games and ‎activities. Great shows, and I could go on and on and on, but I ‎won’t. You can stay in many places. Like Elm, Birch, Poplar, ‎Balsam, Maple, or Pinedell. What about Walton House, Hillcrest, ‎Oaks, or Blue Jay. Or Sparrowview, Lakeview (which is actually ‎facing the pool), Lakeshore House, or Chipmunk. Why not ‎Chicadee, Rocky Point, Wildwood Inn, or even Neals. Wherever, ‎or whenever because it’s open year round, you stay, it’s awesome ‎and has its own special fundamentals. There is one pool with hot ‎tub. If you don’t want to swim in the pool, swim in Sparrow Lake ‎and jump off the dock. If you don’t want to swim at all, you can ‎canoe or kayak in Sparrow Lake. Or even go to the Stanton ‎Brother’s General Store. There is a neat playground where kids of ‎all ages can play on. There are a couple of tennis courts, a ‎volleyball court, a baseball diamond, a basketball court, and plenty ‎of grass to play soccer, though the best place to play soccer is on ‎the lawn in front of Albert Manor. There are even two shuffleboard ‎courts. In the waterfront building, where the youth section of the ‎day group is located, you rent your canoes, kayaks, bikes, and ‎sports equipment. For kids, after you’re done eating and you’re ‎waiting for you parents to come and take you back to wherever ‎you’re staying, you can rent games at the front desk, go on the ‎computer (if no one else is on it), or watch some TV in Crusaders ‎Lounge (where every night, they serve a snack). Every few hours, ‎you hear the trains of the CNR Railway go whizzing by. The ‎dining room is luxurious and has buffets for kids every meal and ‎for adults too, except dinner. Adults, you order food from a menu. ‎If you get it from a buffet, or order it from a menu, it’s delicious. ‎So when you and your family are arguing about where to go for a ‎spring, summer, autumn, or winter vacation, choose Bayview ‎Wildwood Resort. You’ll be glad you did. Believe me, you will. ‎
