“beautiful beach”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 April 2014

this is a beautiful beach with brand new bathrooms. It's a great place to bike, walk and spend time by the water. You can even take your dog for a stroll here

Nice walk along the beach or on the gravel trails around the park. Has a nice food area that is very reasonable pricing.

“The beach and facility are great. Fish and chips are disgusting”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 March 2014

This is a new facility. The resturant area inside is small but in season there are tables outside to sit at, and enjoy the beach.

The old concession had a reputation for the best fresh fish and chips around the area. I used to rave about it. I was expecting the same quality from the new concession. The battered fish came over cooked and black as coal, the batter was as hard as a crab shell. After prying open the batter I realized the thin piece of fish was previously frozen and had separated and stuck to the over cooked batter. There was no fish to eat. I sent it back and was given a refund and a coupon for another meal. The fries were edible. What a let down for this beautiful new facility.

“A small treasure”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 November 2013

For adults - a lovelt place to walk and view many shorebirds.
For kids - a great playground and a sandy beach with warm shallow water depending on the tide.
