We stayed in a hut designed to look like a manyatta from the outside, but it was very much a spacious villa on the inside complete with western-style toilets, full-size shower and a back veranda leading out to a small part of Lake Victoria. The water rolling up onshore makes for a very soothing sound to go to doze off and wake up to. The sunsets there are equally beautiful.
The food was very good with everybody getting their own main while the sides were served family-style in big bowls for sharing. Breakfast was made-to-order in the morning and delicious.
Their souvenirs in the reception/gift shop hut are very reasonably-priced as well.
