“Just what we needed.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 February 2014

Beautiful location. Good food. Waiter service. Clean, warm sea.
It's busy but we didn't care. It's perfect for relaxing/swimming/people-watching/eating/drinking/sleeping.
Bring beach shoes for the pebbles and a snorkel for the fish.

“Stunning”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 February 2014

Okay, so it's just a beach but it is absolutely gorgeous.
White pebbles, and quiet. We walked from Sami which was a long way but the views on the way were incredible. The sea is clear but there is a sudden drop not far out which is quite daunting. Worth a visit just for the view.

“Lovely beach near Sami”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 December 2013

Pretty white pebble beach at the end of a short and scenic drive from Sami. There are 2 tavernas to serve you although it is very quiet the first week of Oct. The water was still warm although the temperature was cooling. It was good to visit for a refreshing swim after exploring the Sami acropolis on the nearby hills which were quite warm. We really enjoyed the acropolis and church with the beautiful old olive trees, goats and spectacular views.

“It's a beach”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 November 2013

A very quiet beach when I visited in October, with only one of the bars open. But unlike a lot of beaches there was easy parking at sea level.

A nice place to spend an hour dangling my feet in the water.

“lovely pebbly beach”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 October 2013

This was a very quiet/peaceful beach in October, but still very nice. Also very easy to reach as it is a few minutes from Sami, and you can park at the level fo the beach, meaning it is better for families/the less mobile tourist than many other beaches on the island that are a bit of a mission to reach (Paradisi is an extreme example that comes to mind).

I'd recommend sea-shoes to make it easier/more dignified getting in to the sea, but this is not unique to Antisamos; definitely a recommendation for most Cephalonia beaches! The first taverna on the beach was run by a really friendly guy who was enjoying having the time end of season to enjoy the beach and his customers. He also has a dog that dives under water to retrieve rocks!

If you like a more solo beach experience, the far end of the beach past the rocks is a good choice, but you will leave behind the comfort of the loungers.

Bear in mind this is not sunset-facing, otherwise a great location with very clear/still water that you cna look over for hours, and lots of curious fishes that come see you when you are in the water so bring the snorkels
