we were looking for a place nearby to gurgaon/delhi as we wanted to go on a saturday and come back on a sunday. based on other traveller reviews we selected dadhikar fort - aro 120km from gurgaon. we took the nh8 - and it was not a nice trip-- it had just rained heavily the night before and the roads+ traffic was bad.
we were guided quite ably by the hotel mgr mr yitesh.. and made in about the 3hrs. the resort i understand is more than 1200 years old.. looks very nice and amazing and is a bit secluded. the rooms were neat and clean and the mgt friendly. The lower level staff could be friendlier....in a resort u always feel better if all staff are eager to greet!. They only serve vegetarian food- which was a change. there was a lot of choice and food was nice. There was a lovely cultural show at night... which was well received and enjoyable.
One area which the hotel can improve- the water geyser in each room is small capacity and the water pressure is low. i dont know why resorts dont use at least 50-75litre capacity geysers with adequate water pressure for each room. After a long day.. nothing like a long hot shower to perk ones spirit!
