book your Aarthi's well planned in advance and Go well in advance to the time of reporting and check by which gate they let you in.
go to the gates , have a great darshan of Baba with aarthi that gives you divine peace of heart and mind.
Kakad aarthi and last aarthi at night are the notable ones.

Sai Baba Mandir in Shirdi is a very holy place and people across India & Globe come to Shirdi for the darshan. In this review I wanted to give some suggestion to make your trip to Shirdi - A memorable one. Mandir has 4-5 main gates and base on your hotel you may select a Gate to start the queue. Normally it takes 1-2 hours in queue to get Baba's darshan - However on weekends, local holiday, New Year and on Thursday - You may need to be in queue for 4-5 hours to get darshan. Mandir has got lot of facilities for devotees like Fans, Cooler, LCD Tvs with live video of Sai Baba Mandir, Bathrooms and Food available while you are in queue.

Queues are very well managed and remains well maintained till you reached to the main temple area, however may have some rush in main temple.

I would suggest you to avoid agents - that promise you some kind of special pass or a faster entry. Also to keep your footwear - Mandir team has arranged for lockers near all the gates. They are also having lockers to keep your valuable nearby to Mandir.

Satya Sai Maharaj ki Jai !!!!!!

It was my dream to visit this temple and was waiting for so many years. At last two months back i got a chance to book air tickets at very low price that i took my entire family for the trip. It is about 4-5 hours journey from pune to shirdi. I had pre planned my bookings. Through the website of sai sansthana i had booked shej arti for 18/6/14. We went to the temple back gate around 9pm and were made to sit in a place for half hour. Later they allowed us to the main temple hall around 10 pm. The arati started around 10.30 pm and went on upto 11pm. We were allowed to stand in front of the idol for the entire period. This was one of the greatest moment of my life. Although it was crowded but were allowed to go almost nearer to the idol. I am really thankfull to the sai baba for providing such wonderful time in my life.
