This is one great place to relax and a great bonus for those who love to walk. The studio apartments are cosy and enjoy a good view of the valley. We could do some very exciting bird watching from the sit out .True there are no "activities", and those going there with small kids would be at a loss to keep them occupied. For them, the main Mahindra resort downhill is a much better option. Up here you can laze and unwind for hours. The walk uphill to the villa from the main resort below is an added bonus for walking enthusiasts, as it goes up through a scenic valley, and takes no more than 15 minutes or so.We enjoyed doing this at least twice a day.
Food quality is really good and the staff goes the extra mile to please you. The Chef Mr Shanti deserves a special mention for his outstanding efforts and helpful attitude.
The only jarring note is that if they run out of anything, it takes tool long as they have to fetch it from the main resort below ( even ,to our annoyance, duplicate keys)
Also the treks they arrange are not really value for money. We had a poorly informed guide, whose communication skills were suspect.
But overall, a great place to unwind, and for those without small kids accompanying, and for those who love to walk, this resort is a great relaxing experience.

Room Tip: Try and get a log cabin away from the entry gate, for a better view.

Lovely place. Our studio just overlooked the valley. We shifted to. Better placed studio although we had a one BR. Quaint, relaxed, mountain fresh air. Not much to do so come here to haloo - a book, movies, TT quiet breakfast. This is a better placed resort compared to valley but smaller area so nothing to do. You can't move out without the transport ( they have a free shuttle). So w get boring after two nights max. Best option is to do a combo trip - 1/2 nights below if u want to go activities w kids.

I visited Binsar manipur villa in March 2014.We were taken from valley resort to Manipur villa by resort vehicle. This drive is very scary. In Villa there are very less activities.Studio appartment log huts was good, but Hotel units were in very very bad condition. We were bored in villa and we requested managment to shift us in main valley resort and they accepted our request and for 2 days we stayed at main resort. And we enjoyed there.

Stayed here in April 2014. The good things about the resort: great views although not from all the rooms. Small resort so more peaceful, a different experience to stay in the log cabins. Food is good although not outstanding. Chef shanti and the service staff did a great job putting together a birthday party for my daughter. For improvement : mobile and internet connectivity is must for all rooms and the technology is availed to do so at little cost. Mahindra must realise that these are necessities even during holidays. The walk up and down from the villa is good if you can and sometimes better than waiting half hour for a jeep ride. Rooms were small in comparison to other resorts. Staffing on busy days falls short and leads to slow service. Fun zone is tiny and not much else to do around. Basic activities are available thru an outside vendor. The early morning bird watching walk is a must do. Do check how many others are going as the guide cannot handle more than 5-6 people. Visit to zero point is nice to see the Himalayan ranges on a clear day preferably early morning. The sanctuary entry fees are steep. A guide is unnecessary. Improvements on food quality and variety is needed especially breakfast and desserts.

We went to Binsar Manipur Villa in 1st week of December 2013. It was perfect weather for people like us from Mumbai. We planned to stay at the Manipur Villa. It was empty at that time of year. Hardly any residents and we had taken a 1 bedroom apartment on the hill facing the valley. The stay was very comfortable with nice big rooms. The food was very good especially at the Binsar Villa Resort down below. The chef had specially made fresh food for us when we ordered for it.
Would recommend to anyone to go there. Hope to go back again one day.

Great job Club Mahindra

the rooms were made of Australian pines & views from the resorts are so enchanting.but for the local sight seeing it will burn a hole in your pocket if you take a cab.so be ready with extra cash. buying local products such as apricot oil, & others can be useful for gifting.try for pahadi oil massage ^ local cuisines.you can try a vacation like 3N/4D breaks

Room Tip: ask for a sun facing room as sometimes it use to be cold

Nagging staff.. At least half the menu not available on order... Activity plans cancelled and rescheduled at last moment.. 5 calls for a Dinner (though denied the first time).. Gap in window panes allowing cold winter wind a thoroughfare.. Pigeon poop all over balcony..Awful service for a lot of price... On the other hand, Manipur Villa is good property atop a hill...
