“Great Place, competitive rates, excellent view and location”
Reviewed 8 March 2017 for a stay in March 2017

Stayed at Bisht Guest House for 3 days and interacted with Mr. Diwan Singh and his wife (Munni). It is located approximately 3 to 5 Kms away from Almora city, away from the crowd and right next to Eco Park, given this location it is easy to also travel to nearby places like Jageshwar (35 Kms) and Binsar Zero point (25 Kms). This is a peaceful place with a great view (especially for sunrise lovers) and you are also treated with great home cooked simple pahadi local food freshly cooked by Munni. The rates are competitive and overall loved the experience with my Family.

“A Hidden Jewel in the hills of Almora”
Reviewed 2 May 2016 for a stay in November 2015

I writing this review after 6 months but it’s never too late I guess. Sorry Diwan Singh ji. Bisht Guest House is that little, relatively unknown jewel in the hills that one always dreams about. I stayed here for 3 nights with my wife+two kids and mother in Nov-15. Like many before us, it was hard to find until Mr. Bisht gave us directions and came to pick us up half a km away. I promised him that I will put this on Google maps and I have done it.

We reached in the night so next morning seeing the snow-capped mountains and the whole valley in front of the guest house was just mesmerizing. Mr. Bisht and his loveable and super-human wife Munni ji (who also works during the day) are simply the best possible hosts we have met!

Whilst a range of accommodation is available, we chose to be modest and took one downstairs without hot showers and wooden floor. Yet Munni ji’s home-cooked food (she even fed our daughter and let us cook the baby food in her kitchen), cats playing in the bonfire every evening and the breath-taking views made up for it. Except for the hot water (on cloudy days as it is solar heated) and lack of toilet with flush, it is 5 star accommodation. The nearby Lalli’s Inn provides great breakfast. The place is close to the town and other excursions in Almora and Mr Bisht is very knowledgeable to guide. Great human beings, I am grateful for him and Munni ji for the service they provided. It can never have a monetary value. I will never forget Mr. Bisht bringing a steaming pot of tea at 6am in the morning as a small temple bell tolled on the hill side waking up with rising sun. Fully recommended. Will go again if there is a chance.

“One the most peaceful places you can find”
Reviewed 5 January 2016 for a stay in January 2016

Bisht Guest House is really one the most peaceful places you can find in Papersalli ridge. It has a very accessible location and at the same time, it offers the beautiful feeling of being immerse in the hills. The rooms are comfortable and of different types for diverse preferences. From many of the terraces, rooms and roof tops you will have a lovely view to the valley and the North Easts hills and peaks. If you get up early you will see the first rays of sun coming from the back of the hills while listening the birds sounds, and night views are as beautiful. You can enjoy many walks around or access the road in just few minutes. The warm and welcoming attention of Divan and Muni have made of Bisht Guest House, the ideal home for me to come back for peaceful time in Almora.

“Nice Place to Relax.”
Reviewed 6 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Guest House is situated at a very right place- from where you can see Sun Rise in the early morning from your balcony and the valley view is very charming. The Guest House is very neat & clean and surrounding area is pollution free. The owner Mr. Diwan Singh Bisht & his wife are very decent & they gave us a feeling of familt atmousphere within a short stay of three days. We liked the taste of dinner, served by them, specially mutton curry.
