On a French Club field trip, we stopped at Plou et Fils. Mathieu served as our host and was very engaging and charming while explaining the winery's history and wine making process. Tasting room was very generous and the pricing was great. The only negative was that they do not ship to the States. We would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.

We visited Plous et Fils as part of our tour to Chenonceau and Clos de Lucé. We started with the storage cellars which are really giant caves, excavated far into the hill. They really are like giant cool stores. We had an interesting explanation of the different wines and how they were made before going into the wine tasting rooms. They were very generous with the range of wines they provided for tasting and all of them were very drinkable. The winery was also different from most of the other vineyards as it had a bigger range of grape varieties than Chenin Blanc.

I would strongly recommend the Sauvignon Blanc. It was incredibly fragrant and delicious. I should have bought more to bring home. But unfortunately my husband and I drank all of the wine before leaving France. We loved the dog, it was a very family friendly place.

We visited this producer in March 2013. Good quality wine, fair prices, a nice visit, with a very good tasting event. The owner was prepared to deal with teenagers and had them taste sparkling grape juice. Great explanation on wine production, too.

On a été très impressioné par le professionalisme et la sympathie de M. Plou. Merci beaucoup!
