One of the worst hotels that I have ever stayed in. The room was dark and dirty. The bed was as hard as the floor - we would have preferred the floor but it was filthy! The sink in the bathroom drained onto the floor.

This hotel does not understand the hospitality industry at all.

We checked in after traveling all day, and were shown to a room that was absolutely unsuitable. The upholstered chairs were stained. The ceiling had water damage. There were cracks in the wall. There was mold all over the decade old caulk around the shower and the sink.

We complained, and the desk staff had little sympathy and were not interested in pleasing us. We were shown to a room that was arguably in worse shape than that as a replacement. The second night we were given yet another room, that had similar problems. The tub drain wouldn't stay open, the shower curtain was covered in mold, and the grout and caulk needed a gallon of bleach to be white again.

To top it all off, you have to pay to use the pool. 80 RMB per person. In no country have I ever seen a hotel that charged to use the pool.

For one of the most expensive hotels in Sichuan, you'd think it would at least be clean. At the very least, the staff could have been apologetic or helpful that our rooms were a dump. I think I will stick to foreigner oriented hostels in the future, as these places understand the cleanliness and service standards that I would expect. I payed $70 dollars per night, and I'm sure the local super 8 in America would have been more worth the value.

Room Tip: Try and stay in building 2 - it looks newer than building 1

We arrived here desperate for coffee, so the sign for Coffee Shop was heaven........ Found it with not too much trouble, but the staff, who were playing cards round a table, looked surprised to see us, and when we asked for coffee, they replied "No coffee" and carried on playing cards. The lobby of the hotel is very glitsy, much more so than the rooms, which can be quite a hike from the main reception. Breakfast was fine, but as always, too many people smoking. I went to the Business Centre to use the internet (no problems), but it also appears to be used as a staff canteen. The rooms are perfectly acceptable (the ensuite needs some attention), but all-in-all, perfectly ok place to stay.

We were impressed on arrival but that soon faded. Very few of the staff speak English and were not trying to be helpful. The room was pleasant but the beds were as hard as the floor. There was no english speaking channels on the TV. The bar had an extensive list of mixed drinks and cocktails but the bar staff (who did not speak english) indicated that they only had wine & beer.
We did not stay - checked out and returned to Chengdu

When we arrived at the hotel, we were impressed by the grand look of the hotel lobby. When we check into the room in other building, we were so disappointed. The hotel building have many rooms in one single floor just like hostel, and you can hear people talking outside the room. The room is equiped with minimum amenities, an old TV, small and easily get flooded bathroom. Telephone cannot call outside, hard bed, old looking wooden furniture. Good points are breakfast have lots of varieties (located at another building) and location is very good. Hotel is just beside the entrance of Emeishan, have lots of restaurants and shops surrounding it. Famous waterfall is also nearby.

Stayed here as part of a tour. Got shuffled into one of the "business" wings, not the 4-star main building. Room was ok, except we had a noisy wooden staircase outside.
Shower was the worst we had in China. All of group reported that shower did not drain fast enough. Bathroom floor filled-up.
Therefore mould grew. Not pleasant.

Otherwise OK.
We went to Emeishan for the scenery, not the hotel
