I spent about 4 hours in this park escorted by a local driver and a student in the area who walks there every day. It is not an easy place to reach and you are unlikely to find any foreign tourists here. Given the history as capital of the Qi dynasty and its great wall built 1000's of years before the wall in Beijing, this park and its sites are very significant. (Hence the government AAAA tourist rating) At some stage the government has spent a lot of money building tourist facilities but the lack of visitors appears to have left some of them looking a bit neglected. The key historical sites such as the wall, rock formations and buildings are in good condition. There is a recent multi-story pagoda style building on the peak that is now locked up and vacated. The grass skiing fields are still operating but I may have been the only person to use them on the day. The dinosaur park is great and contains life size active robots, some of which looked new and others that looked a bit worn. There is a great adventure playground for adults from the era when they were still fun. There are a myriad of statues throughout the park but it is not clear which ones are historical and which ones are recent additions. You probably need the help of locals or need to be a very confident traveller to see this park.
