The resort is just outside of the town of Bitung, It has lovely wooden rooms that look over the sea, the diving is from another world.
If you love diving and relaxing this is the place to be.

Room Tip: the delux rooms are the best to book

Thanks for your review :)

It is lovely to be here, the rooms are wonderful as you say, wooden, comfortable and right on our private bay. And we think, and many say it, that Lembeh has the best diving in the world!!

We recently spent 6 days at KBR and were blown away by our experience! Everything about the resort was very thoughtfully taken care of. The resort staff were able to remember us by our names from the first day we arrived, and everywhere we were greeted by warm smiles and friendly hospitality. Kaj and the dive team are very professional, and your equipment is taken care of before and after each dive - very pampered and completely hassle free! The diving is great and the dive guides are amazing in spotting out the many little critters. There's a great variety in the restaurant menu - Indonesian, American, Japanese, Mexican, so we never ran out of ideas. The tuna sashimi was wonderful!

When we left KBR for the airport they serenaded us with folk songs - almost moved us to tears! And this just sums up what a fantastic experience we had at KBR! Well done, and we will definitely be back for more muck diving!

Thank you for you review :)

it was great having you both here and a pleasure for all of us help make your hard earned vacation as relaxing as possible.

We work really hard to make sure that we have the widest and tastiest menu in North Sulawesi, and that diving should be as easy as possible. Helps keep you in shape for our lovely long dives to see all the amazing critters in Lembeh.

We look forward to seeing you again.

We had a really good week in KBR: the place is run very well, the staff is exceptionally nice, the rooms good and the diving fantastic. We had new flowers everyday in our room which was spacious. The diving operation is run very well and one feels safe all the time. The dive guides are very good and helpful. The food is good thoguh the portions are enourmous. The spa treatments were really nice and relaxing. The only drawback is the amount of plastic @ the dive sites towards the port.

Thank you for your kind review :)

It was great meeting you both and we're glad you had such a good time. We work hard to ensure your have a wonderful time.

We continuously work with the local government to try to get the trash cleaned up and they are doing a great job. Our biggest problem is that sometimes the tide/current running through the Strait brings trash from all over South East Asia. The local government has recently supplied 17 trash boats to visit all the local villages to make sure that 'local' trash is minimised.

We hope to see you again :)

KBR was a fantastic experience!!! The location is just perfect – all the dive sites are 5 to 10 minutes away and you come back to the resort between dives. We stayed in the ocean view – just beautiful. The room is very large and the bathroom is huge with a tub. The service was the best we have ever had – and the dive team is excellent. They are very safety conscience and will adjust the dives to how you would like to do them – you just need to let them know. Kaj, the dive center manager, met us each day to see how it was going and dove with us almost every day. Kaj and his wife Barb have a cat that “swims in the ocean” but you’ll have to go there in person to see that! The “muck” diving was amazing and there is so much to see - we only stayed here one week but would have loved to make it longer since there is so much to see and photograph. The food was great and there was a large selection. The downstairs restaurant is open and the upstairs has a bar and tables and is air-conditioned. (One tip- in the front lobby where you check in there is a small glass cabinet with fabric and t-shirts in it –the fabric is a sample if you would like to get some clothing made – you just need to let them know and a Taylor will come over and measure you and you will have you items with in two days or less – I found out about this on our last day so I wasn’t able to take advantage of this – I let another guest know about it and she had a dress made and said it was fantastic and very inexpensive) Thank you to Kaj and staff for a wonderful experience!

Room Tip: We stayed in T-5 - it was perfect!

Thank you for your lovely review.

It was great to met you all and we had a wonderful time with you at the resort.

I have to dive!!! There is just so much to see here!! It is the only place I've worked in 15 years where I do not get bored of the diving. After 2.5 years here I still see new things on many dives!! And all the sites are so close, 60 sites within 15 minutes. a special place and easy to spend more than one week. You'll have to come back!!

KBR is a lovely resort in its own private bay; the majority of the bungalows are situated on the waterfront with one hillside villa.

My wife and I arrived around lunchtime so were shown to the restaurant which sits out over the water behind reception and were asked to fill in the registration documents whilst we had lunch before being shown to our room. The room (T7) was extremely spacious with a nice big bed with mosquito netting, satellite TV, minibar, aircon and a ceiling fan, there was also the usual tea and coffee making facilities along with free 2 litre bottles of mineral water that were refreshed each day. The bathroom was also large with a good size bath and separate shower.

The resort grounds are very well maintained and look lovely with all the different flowers, all the staff we met were very friendly and professional. The food at the resort is a la carte and there’s a real variety of different types available, you certainly won’t go hungry as the portions are very generous although personally I felt that the local dishes had been westernised a little too much for my liking spice wise, however the staff were happy to provided extra chillies for me when asked. Also the majority of meals were not overly healthy but heh, we were on holiday :-)

We came to the resort to dive and what fantastic diving it was, really different from the majority of diving we’ve done elsewhere in the world and I can completely understand why Lembah is a world class diving destination. All the dive staff were friendly and professional and their ability to spot the smallest of critters is amazing to say the least. The dive sites are all really close, I think the longest we spent getting to a site was 10 minutes, and the maximum number of divers per guide is four so they were all nice and uncrowded. The dive managers Kaj & Barb are both excellent and their passion for diving and Lembah is very apparent. My wife took an underwater photography course with Barb which she thoroughly enjoyed and now I think she has an expensive new hobby!

We’ll certainly be back as one week was not enough to do it justice.

It was lovely to meet you both. Barb had a great time with your wife. It's such an amazing location for photography and Barb loves sharing her knowledge on macro photography.

We do have some nice healthy salads on the menu, as well as all the other dishes. Everything tastes so good, it's hard to stick to the 100% healthy option!!

We all look forward to seeing you again.

I cannot tell you how impressed everyone in our group was with the service from the resort. From the accommodations to the dining to the diving, everything was beyond our expectations. You showing up at the airport on our return from Manado to deliver a left behind hat to one of our fellow travelers shows that you truly care about your guests. The only regret we have is that we are not closer and cannot visit you as often as we would like to.

KBR is a fantastic resort that made my holiday special on very many levels. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The beachfront chalets are a real dream with very elegant interior design, a huge and luxurious bathroom and a very comfy bed. I loved the fact that I could hear the waves at all times. The choice of food as well as the quality of the feed is amazing. I'd recommend anyone to go for the specials but everything on the menu is lovely. Of course, the real reason to come to KBR is the diving. I was not sure what to expect because I had not done any muck-diving before this holiday. But the diving is very special and the guides at KBR are brilliant in seeking out the unique and often shy sealife. It is not comparable at all to anything I have ever experienced before. I would say that it is of advantage to have have a good camera and some photographic skill because this destination is all about macro-photography.
