“Always very busy! ”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 August 2014 via mobile

Having eaten lunch here twice in a week I can honestly say that the lunch menu while being limited is of great quality, local ham, generously sliced, the freshest crab, and finely smoked salmon, all served with the freshest salad, new potatoes and best of all not a soggy French Fry in site!

My only regret is that the actual farm shop does not seem to be of the same quality, more akin to a local store rather than a pure farm shop, given the location maybe this is to be expected?

“Packed on Sunday lunchtime - make a reservation”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 August 2014

Packed and we were lucky to get a table without booking. Owned by the same people who own the Farmers Market, the fresh fish shop and the cottages we stayed in - looks like all local produce and very popular. Very nice lamb and veg but the roast potatoes we're over-cooked and a litltle hard. People being turned away as we ate so make a reservation.

“Finally - a farm shop with things you want!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 August 2014

I'm so fed up with so called farm shops not actually selling any ingredients or produce. The first thing you encounter when walking in to Friday Street farm shop is a display of the most amazing fruit and veg - the savoy cabbages are the largest i've ever seen. the meat is good quality local produce which is reasonably priced, and you can get everything you need for a good quality meal. And if you can't be bothered to cook or are just passing to get some lunch, they have a good selection of ready-meals, sandwiches and pies which is always convenient when I forget my lunch for work.

“Good to bad”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 July 2014

Visited here for breakfast a couple of months ago and it was very good. But today's was very poor we order the small breakfast with added sautéed potatoes, looked at the plate and the sausage was missing the bacon was almost like leather the sautéed potatoes and tomato was cold and the egg was over cooked. Not sure if there has been a change in ownership or staff but I will think twice before I go back. Try the farm cafe at Marlesford a bit more expensive but always good.

“Great selection, good quality”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 July 2014

Been here several times, the latest with the soft fruit season so there was pick you own, which was great fun and fantastic strawberries. A very good selection of produce, bread, meat and other items. It's well worth a visit and somewhere we will continue to go to when we are in the area.
