“spotless, brilliant parking, great location”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 May 2014

We were booked in by friends. Last time they booked us into a rival chain nearby and it was an awful experience. This time we could not fault Premier Inn (which we always use for preference anyway) - the parking was covered, secure and attached to the building - the reception staff were lovely, and the room was spotless as was the bathroom. The pillows and the bed were so comfortable we had the best night's sleep in ages - and the wifi was fast and cheaper than ever before. The location is very easy too - just off a roundabout with access to major roads, M25 etc.

Check in and check out was easy, the water pressure for baths and showers was excellent and extra tea and coffee items were provided at no cost and with ease. This is one of the nicest Premier Inns we have ever stayed in - our room only cost £50 (on a bank holiday weekend!) and we know that friends had to stay at a rival dump up the road at more than twice the price.

Room Tip: This is a tall building - a higher floor could be quieter but we had no noise issues.

This is one of the older Premier Inns. Booked a 4 night stay for myself, husband and two kids as we were visiting parks in the area. Room was standard premier inn although both kids beds were 'put me ups' and a little uncomfortable. The worst thing was I found the room uncomfortably hot and the air conditioning would not go below 19 degrees. I did complain about this as it did not make for a good (4) nights sleep but there was nothing to be done and no offer of compensation despite their 'good nights sleep' promise. I paid extra for 4 days Wi-Fi but this only covered 2 devices (which is not made clear when paying), so obviously that wasn't good enough either. The car park next door was £5 daily and was a very tight squeeze if you have a larger car - the marks on the wall betrayed a number of incidents where cars had obviously not been able to navigate the tight corners. It was hair-raising trying to turn the car round to exit this car-park. The onsite restaurant was ok but the food was quite expensive for what it was - we paid almost £14.00 for 3 pathetic portions of cheap and nasty ice-cream! I did complain but was met with a shrug of the shoulders from Chris, the restaurant manager. I also saw a few people complaining about the food quality and that it was often cold. Its convenient for Thorpe Park, Lego land and Chessington but I wouldn't stay at this Premier Inn again as it was not up to scratch in either service or quality.

tipical hotel with clean and tidy rooms, good breakfasts and mannerly service. If you staying here more than 8 days you need re-check in. There's a bit strange for me but it's as easy as falling off a log.

Friendly, clean and efficient hotel. Whilst the family room wasn't big it was sufficient for the needs of our family. The kids well catered for .
visiting Thorpe Park , took about 15 minutes to get there from hotel, ideal.

Oooops, thought we were going to "SuDbury" not "SuNbury"; wondered why we passed Thorpe park. Bit of a bobo on my part, only 15 miles out!!!!!

We wanted to visit London for New Year but wanted to stay on the outskirts with the car so we could see the surrounding areas. Sunbury has it's own railway station just 5 minutes walk form the hotel, it has a direct link to London, however our travel passes zones 1-4 were not valid here. Instead we drove the short journey to Hounslow (about 5.5 miles), parked in the car park & travelled into London from there. Be aware that these trains do go directly into London in about 30 minutes but they come from Heathrow & are very busy, it's usual not to get a seat.

We stayed 5 nights at Sunbury Premier Inn from 29th Dec - 3rd Jan. Our stay was a total of £227.50 with breakfast for a family room for 4 of us; considering it was New Year we felt this was a good deal.

Sunbury Premier Inn is modern building just outside a small shopping centre; it's not what you would describe as picturesque but once inside it doesn't really matter. The car park is adjacent to the hotel & can be accessed without using any stairs. I agree with the other comments that it is very tricky to manipulate & our car is only a small. The fee for the car park was £5.00 per night which we paid on departure. Ask at reception each morning for the access code to leave the car park.

Inside we found a standard, modern Premier Inn, I say this because the design & generally the standard is the same, I like the continuity to be honest, it means I know what to expect. Check in was straight forward & the lift took us to all floors; there was a also a lift on the outside of the hotel which gave a great view of the area (can see the planes in & out of Heathrow). This is does seem to be a large hotel & it was quite a walk to our room. Again once inside the room was standard Premier Inn, clean, beds made up, modern white bathroom etc; no complaints. Unfortunately we had a young family next door & the children didn't seem to stop crying, the last 2 nights we didn't get any sleep, this could happen anywhere though.

Breakfast is served in a modern restaurant downstairs,it is a little cramped for my liking & gets very warm. Cereals, juices, fruit, toast, muffins, croissants & hot drinks are all available for self service. On busy days hot food is served as a buffet, on quieter days hot food is table service. Food was very nice & plentiful; the service at breakfast was excellent, could not praise the staff enough.

Although I made an error with booking, Sunbury is still I good location to use as a base to see the area; in my opinion it is too far if using as a base to travel in & out of London. We visited drove through Richmond-on-Thames which looks lovely & spent an afternoon in Windsor which was surprisingly busy even at this time of year. There is a large Tesco store about 1/2 mile away which was great to pick up snacks; we went further out to eat. As we did have the car, we visited Westfield's Shopping Centre which was lovely; a great places to eat & lots to see.

There was plenty going on in London& the surrounding areas at this time; we spent an afternoon at Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park which was amazing; the children went ice skating at Hampton Court Palace & there was a seasonal event at Kew gardens although we ran out of time. We would return to Premier Inn Sunbury if we were visiting the area again.

Checked in around 3pm but room wasn't ready so the friendly staff put us into another, Rm 501. Upon arrival we were told that there was no power to the kitchens so evening dinner was off and we would have to check in the morning to see if breakfast was being served. Rm 501 is next door to the exit/entrance to the corridor. The first night we were so tied we generally slept through the constant wall shake and slam of the corridor door but the second night was horrendous! The room we had booked was a family Rm, we are 2 adults and 2 children. 1 bed sat halfway over the entrance into the bathroom so my daughter got a face full of light every time we used it during the night. To top the second night off I banged my leg on the bed which was in front of the bathroom, Had an iron that had a dodgy non standard cable extension attached and had not been electrically tested. Multi storey car park designed for Smart car size, could not turn average sized family car (Audi A4). Overall not a good stay so will reconsider Premier Inn in the future.
