I met a friend for coffee and cake today at The Walled Garden. Super home made cakes in a light and airy café. We enjoyed a walk in the gardens and looked at the beautiful tapestry. Well worth a visit for the cakes alone!

we had two options of what to do today, sit indoors with my sister or dig out her wheelchair and take her to the river. Of course the latter was way more appealing. Parking was a small issue, the Walled Garden car park was half empty, easy we thought then noticed they were "residents only", had to drive down the road and park, in another Pay & Display car park but the machines were out of order, result. Short walk through the park and into the lovely gardens. This was a great time of year to visit, colours abound and the statues really looked good. The paths were very wheelchair friendly as was the cafe and museum. The museum is actually "The Sunbury Embroidery Gallery" and even better is free. The gift shop was a bit expensive though, I see where they try and get there money back! Cafe was good value and a welcome shady spot. Afterwards we took a walk along the Thames not so wheelchair friendly but a lovely spot especially in these sweltering temps!

I visited the walled garden with my mum and thought it was delightful. Very peaceful and plenty of areas to sit and contemplate. The little cafe adds to the appeal as does the little museum.
Lovely place to visit would recommend it.

had a few hours to kill before checking into the hotel so went here...really peaceful attractive walled garden. Pleaseant and reasonably priced coffee shop also. Bit boring for our teenage son, but our 11 year old daughter and my partner and I really enjoyed the tranquil setting and relaxation .

This garden area is quite small but worth a visit if in the area. It is opposite the River Thames. Has a small cafe/gift shop.
