Chez Eric is a Wakefield institution. It's been there longer than I remember.
The menu is short and well structured. For starters, great soups, a nice duck crepe and fine salads. The mains a solid duck confit, trout, and risotto for the vegetarians. Burgers for the teens.
The outdoor patio has been fixed up. A sandbox for the young ones, the apple and pear trees are in fruit and the lights come on in the trees at dusk.
The wine list is short and might be given a bit of thought but still adequate.
Dessert is good. A solid pecan and maple syrup pie, lemon tart and a great noisette.
Service continues to be competent, friendly and prompt.
A few good changes but Chez Eric continues to be great.
