“Go for the seafood!”
Reviewed 29 July 2014

First off, you better be using your Google maps to find this place, because like most of Venice, it's down a few alleyways. It's worth the effort. Despite its humble exterior this is one of my favourite seafood places in my trip to Europe. I ordered a crisp cool white and nibbled my way through steamed shrimp and crab legs. Then I ordered the whitefish fry. My husband had the calimari. The food was fantastic and the prices were even better. You won't be sorry you went.

“Fresh, cheap, authentic”
Reviewed 13 June 2014

I almost didn't want to review this place as part of its charm is that it is definitely still a locals' haunt and shouldn't become damaged by tourists! The food is very cheap and very fresh, we both had a frittura mista (a small platter of fried seafood) and it seemed that the fish had still been swimming the morning before. The owner gave us a plate of snails before our meal came which might put people off but they were cooked in garlic and herbs and were delicious.

If you want a filling lunch I'd recommend getting a primi piatti before your main dish as the portion was fairly small but enough for us. The house wine was drinkable and incredibly cheap. Get there before 12.30 as it fills up fast with local workers and the odd tourist, and take a phrasebook to help with the menu as the English menu is pretty difficult to understand having probably been put through Google translate.

“Great lunch!”
Reviewed 9 June 2014 via mobile

At first the restaurant seems quite small, but it isn't.
The waiters were very attentive and friendly. The food was great and not expensive at all. What can you ask more for?
The bathroom? It was clean!

“Perfect!”
Reviewed 12 May 2014

the food is simple and traditional; the guys are funny and informal, the atmosphere is relaxing and home-like. I know that many foreigner coming to Italy want to eat in simple places where you can find the 'nonna food', well if you are one of them you should stop by this place!
and of course is cheap like a real osteria should be!
oh, I wasn't in the mood for fish so I did't try the spaghetti alle vongole or the fritto misto, but they looked and small amazing!will have to go back!
